Crimson's Revenge
60 Not Really Knowing Someone Until They Get Mad
When the video ended, some of the tension actually diffused. They had discussed some parts of the video with enthusiasms momentarily forgetting the previous situations they were in.
After some time their guests decided to go home, Reen escorted them to the door.
"Sorry for not calling ahead." Diola whispered while hugging Reen.
"It's not your fault. You seem to have been exhausted and busy, I understand. It just made me really worried so I had to do this sudden visit." Diola said while gradually letting her go and stared directly into her eyes.
"I'll call you tonight. Be sure to answer it alright?"
Reen smiled adoringly at her friend and they hugged each other once more. After this, Diola followed Skie and Sae who were a few steps ahead. Chad stayed near Reen and Diola when they were talking but was not near enough to overhear or distract their conversation.
"I know it was inconsiderate of me to trick your friend that way. But I just wanted to make sure…" He started saying, he was 100% sure that Diola would eventually share this fact to her, rather than waiting for her ire he rather confess his sins now.
Reen had actually thought of this possibility especially since Diola tends to have two pennies short of a nickel [2] when it comes to such expert liars like him. She merely nodded off handily.
As he did it without any malicious intent she could only accept his apology but this did not mean she was not irked by this scheme.
Seeing such an aloof reaction Chad could not help but mentally thought.
"Was she always like this?"
Chad always had the idea that Reen was a happy go lucky and timid person. Not this detached and a little bit cold person instead.
"It just goes to show you'll never know a person until you get them mad [1]. He shook his head mentally to disregard these passing thoughts.
"…By the way Cri-Reen, that song… did you actually wrote that…?" Hearing the disbelief on Chad's tone, she raised her eyebrow in reaction.
"Yes, I actually did… is there anything wrong with it?" She questioned aggressively.
Slightly taken aback by her aggressive reaction, Chad shook his head. Reen thought he was being rude by the tone of his voice as if she doesn't know how to write such songs in this genre as she usually writes sweet and jolly songs.
Chad could not really be blamed by this, as Reen continued to grow as a star; her anti fans grew as well judging her skills even before listening or seeing the results of her hard work so her loyal fans sometimes can't help but be swayed as well.
By his reaction and the way he schemed against her, led her being overly aggressive in her responses towards him.
