Crimson's Revenge

"Nothing actually, just asking" he immediately replied seeing Reen was not in the mood to talk to him further, cursing himself of his stupidity.

"Curiosity indeed killed the cat [1]" he hang his head and looked at his shuffling feet in guilt and sadness feeling a bit hurt by Reen's reaction though he was at fault in this scenario.

But in an angle Reen could not see his eyes shown the confusion and other emotions words could not explicitly explain. The thought that the song she wrote was quite similar with what happened between him and his first love caused him to slightly frown.

Sae who was talking with Skie and Diola while Reen and Chad were talking coincidentally glance at them and saw in his view how they are intimately interacting with each other.

Chad looked at Reen then and smiled sheepishly at her returning back to his gentleman and shy boy looked while still looking a bit distracted.

Reen looked at him with curiosity highly interested in his ever changing reactions.

He then bid her farewell then hurriedly joined the others a few steps ahead, leaving Reen looking at him in curiosity.

"He definitely is hiding something [2]." Reen mentally thought

Sae stayed behind now waiting for a distracted Reen who was a few steps behind them.

"Reen… I-" He started before Reen could even avoid him

"You made it perfectly clear yesterday." Her voice quivered but with a hint of conviction cut through his words.

"No, that's wrong. I didn't- That wasn't- "He hurriedly explained.

"I don't want to hear it Sae... It's..."

He stopped himself seeing Reen's expression.

"Alright… I'll give up for tonight Reen but promised me you'll hear me out when you're ready..."

"What his doing now is exactly what I had done in the past." Remembering the times she chased and waited for him so she could properly explain what really happened.

"But it's too late now, regardless of he being right or me being right it's just too late." She thought sadly

If it was in the past she would have listened while crying, being hurt was part of the healing and they would eventually shelve that misunderstanding. They then maybe would eventually work towards being close friends again or something more if fate permits.

She still did not know it was only a test on his part but regardless if she knew or not it was useless because he who doesn't communicate, gets his fingers burnt [3]

After getting her memories back regardless of what he does or says the carrots are cooked [4]. She can't involve him into "that" world, he deserves someone better.

However upon seeing his insistence she nodded rather hesitantly. He signed in relief.

"Goodbye then Reen." Sae left feeling sad but hopeful

When all of them were inside Chad's car and were on their way. Reen locked the door.

"What a tension filled day." Wisteria said while rubbing Reen's back in comfort.

"Boy, was it." She chuckled which made Wisteria smile slightly.
