Distant Love

He saw sophie in tears and her palm swelled up and burnt. He quickly took her to the kitchen sick, he opened the cold water tap, as the water poured on her hand, she felt relief and pain at the same time. She closed her eyes and bit her lower lip to suppress the pain, chris held her hand as the water poured for about 5min before removing it. He helped her to her room, then left, after about 10min, he came back with an anti-inflammatory cream. He took her hand and gently applied the cream, he was so gentle that she could not feel the pain, he looked calm and his body radianting a sense of cold yet caring aura. She kept staring at him, she didn't notice that he was done till he spoke.

Next time you can't do something, ask for help; Chris's voice sounded threatening and concerned as he spoke while looking at her with a sharp gaze.

Mmm, am sorry; Sophie said with a pitiful voice and her head down avoiding chris's gaze.

Get some rest; Chris voice still angry and cold as he spoke.

Ok; Sophie nodded obidiently and laid on the bed. She tried to cover herself with the blanket but her palm hurts whenever she tried. Chris was about to leave when he noticed, he slowly shook his head and walked back.

I just finished saying, if you need help ask me; Chris's cold expression became even colder. Sophie looked at him then reverted her gaze quickly. He covered her with the blanket and left the room, Sophie's gaze followed him till he left the room.

"Keep caring for me, love me. That way, breaking you will be easy" Sophie thought in her mind and had an evil smirk on her face.

At Beatrix's Graduation, Chris and Mr. Mark sat next to each other as they applaud Beatrix after her speech, she came and sat beside chris, he whispered in her ears "You killed them sis" and smiled at her. After the graduation speeches and awards, it was time for pictures. Just as they were about to start taking pictures, they heard a voice speak from behind them "Sorry am late" as the figure walked slowly towards them.

James!!; Beatrix screamed and ran to embrace him then continued talking "I missed you, i thought you wont come".

Yea, i had some work i needed to do but i did my best to finish and come see you; James replied as sophie released her embrace and they walked towards Chris and Mr. Mark.

They had fun and laughed as they took the pictures, but something about James was bothering chris, he felt anger and at the same time threatened. After the pictures, Chris spoke to James and they went to a quiet place. James was about to ask Chris why he brought them here but before he could talk, Chris strangled his neck and pushed him against the wall, his grip was tight that James felt like this will be his last day on earth.
