Distant Love

Upon reaching the company gates, chris parked his right at the gate and strode towards the raging fire behind the main skyscrapper, the stroge facility was ablaze while the fire department wrestle to put it off.

Mr. Wong ran over to chris then paused to catch his breath. Chris looked at him with a cold expression, a glare that can make you fall on your knees, his anger can be seen through his eyes, his fists balled and with a thunderous voice he asked "What happened?"

Mr. Wong composed himself and began to explain "Well i was in the office packing my things to leave when i heard a loud 'BANG!' sound, as i looked for the source i saw the place ablaze, everything was just on fire so i immediately called the Fire department before calling you".

"Have you enquired what happened" Chris's voice was a bit calm but his body still radiating anger.

No sir; Mr. Wong replied.

"Well" chris's brows raised brows with an expression telling him to stop standing and go find out.

Mr. Wong strode off, Chris turned and saw sophie still staring at the flaming building seemingly in disbelief, he placed his hand on her shoulder which made her snap out of it and raised her head to look at him.

Let me take you home, you look tired; Chris held her hand and they begin to walk towards the car.

On the way Sophie ask "But what do you think happened?" and she looked at chris but his mind was wandering. She tapped his shoulder with her other hand and asked "Whats wrong?" .

Am still thinking what possibly happened, Mr. Wong said he heard a Loud sound before the fire so this means something exploded. Maybe a bomb; Chris concluded without hesitation

'Huh' sophie's brows raised her brows in shock then continued 'A bomb but who could do this?'

A rival company probably, welcome to the coporate world; Chris replied and chuckled a bit

They reached the car, Sophie entered but chris stood outside and took out his phone from his pocket then tapped it several times before putting it in his ears, it rang for a while then the person picked up.

Chris spoke first "Nathan i need your help"

What happened chris?; Nathan asked

I want you to investigate a situation at my company; Chris requested.

Yea sure, I will head over tomorrow; Nathan agreed

Thank you brother; Chris hang up the phone and entered the car. Sitting on the driver seat, Sophie asked calmly "Who was that?" chris glanced at her then replied "A friend". He started the engine and drove away.
