Gradually, saliva naturally arises. Swallowing it in one gulp fills the mouth with a sweet aroma, a warmth spreading through the lower abdomen, a feeling of comfort throughout the body. With each breath, every pore of the body resonates with this sensation. Gradually, a misty purple aura fills the body, with purple vapor flowing in and out of the mouth and nose with each breath.

As the sun rose higher, the purple aura gradually diminished until it dissipated completely. Li Mu spent another half an hour refining the last wisp of purple aura and storing it in his dantian before slowly concluding his practice.

After a month of using the learning card as an aid, I have finally reached the threshold of Zixia Kung Fu.

However, it takes at least two months of practice to truly get the hang of it.

He wasn't in a hurry. The difficulty in mastering this skill only made Li Mu more interested in it. Besides, he had heard Ning Zhongze say that when Yue Buqun switched to Zixia Gong, it took him nearly two years to master it. At that time, Yue Buqun's Baoyuan Gong was at the fourth level.

All things considered, it was much easier for him to get started than for Yue Buqun.

And just like that, two months passed in the blink of an eye.

That morning, Li Mu, sensing something, stood on a blue stone. The mountain wind howled, and his blue robe billowed. As the sky turned red, the sun gradually rose, and the clouds and rosy hues shone with golden light.

Suddenly, he had a flash of inspiration, sat cross-legged with his five palms facing the sky, and a stream of pure true energy rose from his dantian. The cultivation method of the first level of the Purple Cloud Skill flowed through his mind. Suddenly, a bright light shone before his eyes, and a misty purple aura gathered around him.

Without sorrow or joy, one gradually reaches a state of divine enlightenment, sensing every rustle of grass and wind within a radius of ten feet. The swirling purple aura slowly circulates through the meridians along with the true energy, repeatedly refining and tempering it until it becomes pure. Then, like a hundred rivers flowing into the sea, it is slowly drawn into the dantian through the Baihui acupoint!

Suddenly, a throbbing sensation appeared in my dantian, followed by a warm feeling. True qi slowly rose from my lower abdomen, gentle and warm, flowing continuously through my chest and abdomen, converging at the top of my head, and circulating through the twelve meridians in turn.

After several cycles of this process, the true energy becomes increasingly smooth and free, and finally slowly flows into the dantian.

Li Mu exhaled lightly, opened his eyes, and slowly stood up on the bluestone. He felt light and warm all over, and his true energy was perfectly integrated, continuous and inexhaustible.

He not only laughed heartily, but also realized that he had truly mastered the Zixia Kung Fu.

Li Mu stretched his muscles and bones, feeling full of energy and incredibly good. At this moment, when he thought of the Purple Cloud Manual again, he had many insights. What he had been puzzled about before suddenly became clear.

Indeed, the key is to put knowledge into practice. No matter how thoroughly one comprehends a secret manual, without personally practicing it, one will never truly understand its meaning.

This Purple Cloud Manual is indeed extraordinary. Its ability to absorb and exhale the primordial purple aura of the rising sun is reminiscent of ancient Qi cultivators. After mastering it, even Li Mu's perception of heaven and earth underwent a transformation.

He suddenly felt that everything in this world had come alive, every flower, every blade of grass, every stone, every tree; whether it was flowing springs, still rocks, or blue sky and white clouds, everything was in perfect harmony and nature, with a natural charm.

He stood there quietly for a long while, let out a long breath, went back to the courtyard to have breakfast, and then walked towards the back hall of Huashan.

Yue Buqun and his master's wife Ning Zhongze were discussing a key point in the Yi Jing's Bone Forging Chapter when they saw Li Mu. Ning Zhongze didn't react much, but Yue Buqun's expression changed slightly. He also cultivated the Zixia Gong, and although others couldn't tell that Li Mu had entered the Zixia Gong realm, he could see some clues.

After observing it carefully for a few more moments to make sure he wasn't mistaken, he couldn't wait to say, "Pingzhi... you... have mastered the Zixia Kung Fu."

Li Mu respectfully replied, "Thanks to my master and mistress, I have mastered the Zixia Kung Fu."

Yue Buqun was overjoyed and exclaimed, "Good, good, good!" He said "good" three times in a row.

Master's wife, Ning Zhongze, also praised, "He went out after only three months. Pingzhi's talent is indeed extremely high."

He then looked at Yue Buqun and said, "Back then, your master spent nearly two years to master the basics and was very proud of himself for a long time."

Yue Buqun was losing face, so he stroked his five long strands of beard and changed the subject: "Madam, I think this sentence in the 'Forging Bones' chapter of the Book of Changes should be understood as follows."

“Pingzhi, don’t just stand there. Let’s discuss this sentence again.”

……

Chapter 528 The Rising Sun Sword, which secretly aligns with the celestial constellations.

Having mastered the Zixia Skill, Li Mu now focused his energy on the six extraordinary martial arts manuals and secret techniques.

Among them, the "secret method of breath-holding" and the "secret method of acupoint release" have been thoroughly understood and mastered by Yue Buqun, Ning Zhongze, and Li Mu.

The "Healing Chapter" is much more profound in comparison. Although they have not yet fully grasped it, the three of them have already mastered how to apply it.

These three secret techniques alone would be of great use to Li Mu in his future adventures in the martial world. They would be even more useful to Yue Buqun and his wife, who often went down the mountain to help the righteous.

The remaining three chapters, Spiral Nine Shadows, are light-body skills, unlike the Yi Jing Bone Forging Chapter and Soul Capture Technique, one of which improves physical aptitude and the other involves the spiritual aspect. They have already comprehended most of them. Yue Buqun and Ning Zhongze have higher internal strength and can already use some of them by simply copying the techniques.

Li Mu also practiced in his spare time and was almost there. Just like climbing the Heavenly Ladder, due to insufficient internal strength, he could not yet fully demonstrate the subtlety of this lightness skill.

Li Mu originally thought that the Yi Jing Bone Forging Chapter and the Soul-Capturing Technique were the most profound of the six extraordinary techniques and secret methods, as the Yi Jin Forging Bone Chapter was a miraculous skill that improved one's physical attributes.

However, it was later discovered that the most profound technique was the Soul-Capturing Technique, and traces of the Tendon-Changing and Bone-Forging Chapter could still be found. Three-tenths of its essence had already been comprehended, and it was now possible to cultivate it.

The rest is to practice and contemplate simultaneously, applying both understanding and practice, and unifying knowledge and action.

However, even after all this time, I've only grasped a superficial understanding of the Soul-Capturing Technique, and I don't even know if it's useful. Much of its content is too profound, shrouded in mystery, and incomprehensible.

Finally, the three discussed it and decided that instead of investing time and energy in the Soul-Capturing Technique—which they didn't know was of any use, when they would ever understand it, or even if they could practice it—they should pause their research and focus their energy on more practical and extraordinary techniques, such as the Bone-Forging Chapter of the I Ching.

Yue Buqun and Ning Zhongze are already quite old. At their age, the progress in martial arts training becomes increasingly limited, and they can only rely on time to gradually improve.

If you're not careful, if you become lax or indulge yourself, your martial arts skills will regress instead of improve, and you'll start to decline.

There was no way around it; their innate physical attributes were already fixed, and they had cultivated their martial arts for decades. With their physical attributes and the martial arts they had practiced, if they could improve quickly, they would have done so long ago, instead of waiting until today.

The only thing left to do is grind it out over time, unless some extraordinary event occurs.

For example, encountering a divine martial arts manual allows one to cultivate even more powerful skills and elevate their abilities. This is why the Evil-Repelling Sword Manual, which grants rapid power, holds such great appeal for those in the martial arts world, attracting countless people to covet it.

For example, improving their physical constitution and aptitude can fundamentally change the upper limit of a person's martial arts skills. Even if the martial arts they practice remain the same, the upper limit of that martial arts will also be increased in them.

Now, thanks to their disciple, they have encountered a miraculous encounter—an encounter that can improve their innate talent and thus elevate their martial arts to a higher level.

Huang Shang only began practicing martial arts in his middle age, yet he still became a top master, demonstrating the power of the Yi Jing Bone Forging Chapter.

Most importantly, this miraculous skill for improving physical aptitude is unlike other legendary martial arts skills that are only effective if practiced from a young age.

This skill can be practiced and is equally effective even by middle-aged people. For Yue Buqun and Ning Zhongze, it was like a windfall, leaving them both surprised and delighted.

This extraordinary skill deserves the utmost attention.

For Li Mu, at only fourteen years old, his physical constitution was still developing. At this age, practicing the Yi Jing Bone Forging Chapter would be more effective. Who wouldn't want their physical constitution to be superior?

As time passed, Li Mu gradually became proficient in several extraordinary skills and secret techniques, especially the Yi Jing Bone Forging Chapter. He mastered it without much practice and the results were excellent.

Yue Buqun and Ning Zhongze, on the other hand, attached great importance to the Yi Jing Bone Forging Chapter and practiced it with exceptional seriousness and effort, spending most of their time on it every day.

Finally, after their tireless efforts, they managed to get the hang of it some time ago.

The two were overjoyed and became even more enthusiastic about their cultivation, working harder than even the most novice disciples.

Li Mu understood them. They had practiced martial arts their whole lives and could no longer see any hope of further improvement. Even if they continued to train hard every day, their progress would be minimal. So minimal that even after a year of hard training, they wouldn't feel that their martial arts had improved at all.

In such circumstances, if a miraculous skill suddenly appears that can change their physical constitution and aptitude, allowing them to feel the progress in their martial arts, the enthusiasm it ignites is immense, and they only fear that they are not working hard enough.

Li Mu ignored them and practiced martial arts at his own pace. In addition to the martial arts of Mount Hua, he also did not give up his family's martial arts. After all, he had seen the original version of the Jade Maiden Heart Sutra, although he only had half of it. This gave him a deeper understanding of the Evil-Repelling Sword Technique derived from this technique.

Having practiced swordsmanship on Mount Hua for so many years, his vision and swordsmanship skills had greatly improved. When he used the Evil-Repelling Sword Technique again, he was simply invincible, far more powerful than before.

Li Mu also frequently practiced the 108-style Heaven-Turning Palm, using it to loosen his muscles and bones, which greatly improved his skill level.

Actually, the Huashan School also had its own set of martial arts techniques, and quite a few were renowned, such as the Eagle-Snake Life-or-Death Struggle, but unfortunately, these have been lost. The more famous ones now are the Stone-Splitting Fist and the Jade-Shattering Fist, which are quite good.

And so, time slowly passed in his cultivation, and another year passed. Li Mu was already fifteen years old.

That morning, as usual, he came to the bluestone to practice the Purple Cloud Skill. As the sun slowly rose, the clouds dyed the horizon gold, and a purple mist gradually arose between heaven and earth.

Li Mu's heart stirred, and he turned his five centers towards the sky. With each breath, the misty purple energy flowed in and out of his mouth and nose, gradually reaching a state of divine enlightenment. He could sense the wind and grass moving within a radius of several feet. His internal energy guided the misty purple energy to circulate and refine it in his meridians until it was pure. Then, like a hundred rivers flowing into the sea, it slowly entered his dantian through the Baihui point.

He was naturally gifted and had a solid foundation. He also diligently practiced every day, and recently he had a vague feeling that the time for a breakthrough had come.

Suddenly, his dantian leaped, and a surge of true energy burst forth, like sunlight shining everywhere. His internal energy flowed smoothly and continuously, creating a chaotic yet vibrant scene, and a bright light shone before his eyes.

Every pore on his body opened, and every part of his body was filled with energy that he couldn't help but release. He couldn't help but let out a long howl, a sound like a dragon roaring in a vast marsh or a tiger howling in the mountains, echoing far and wide, reverberating among the rocks and mountains, and lingering for a long time.

Yue Buqun didn't go to Chaoyang Peak today. He was practicing the Zixia Kung Fu on a reclining rock in the back mountain when he heard the long roar. He suddenly opened his eyes, overjoyed. He hadn't expected Li Mu's skill to have improved so much. He couldn't help but laugh and say, "Mount Hua has hope! Mount Hua has hope!"

At this moment, Li Mu felt a warm sensation throughout his body, sensing the dense and all-encompassing true energy within him, and a smile appeared on his lips.

He had been practicing the Zixia Skill for more than half a year. Before practicing, his Baoyuan Skill was already at the third level. After successfully switching to the Zixia Skill, his internal strength improved by leaps and bounds. Today, he finally entered the third level again.

However, this is the third level of Zixia Gong, not the third level of Baoyuan Gong. The third level of Zixia Gong is significantly more profound and refined than the third level of Baoyuan Gong.

Just like how the second level of Baoyuan Gong was much stronger than the second level of the family's Zhengyang Gong.

In the morning, they met in the back hall. Yue Buqun was overjoyed and showered them with praise.

Li Mu could only reply, "It's all thanks to my master's guidance!"

Yue Buqun stroked his long beard with great satisfaction and said, "There's no need to be modest. At your age, your internal strength has reached such a level, which is truly rare. But you must guard against arrogance and impetuosity, and practice diligently. A temporary lead is not a lifelong lead. There are countless people in the world with exceptional talent, but few can reach such a high level in martial arts. You must remember this and never be complacent!"

"I understand, master."

Li Mu thought for a moment and then said, "Master, I have broken through to the third level of Zixia Gong, and my internal strength has increased a lot. It should be no problem for me to go up and down the mountain using my lightness skill. Next, I also plan to go to Chaoyang Peak to cultivate."

Yue Buqun laughed and said, "That depends on how good your lightness skill is. As long as you can use your lightness skill to go up and down the mountain without wasting too much time on the way, I will support you."

……

For the next ten days or so, Li Mu diligently practiced his lightness skill, especially the Heavenly Ladder, which was very suitable for mountain climbing.

However, simply having good lightness skills isn't enough; one also needs to know the route and find the most suitable way to climb Chaoyang Peak. Therefore, during this period, Li Mu used his lightness skills to travel back and forth to Chaoyang Peak twice a day, firstly to practice his skills, and secondly to find the most suitable round-trip route to save time.

Hard work pays off; a month later...

It was just past dawn, and the sky was still dark when Li Mu had already gotten up, washed, and nimbly left the courtyard. Having chosen his direction, he leaped forward and sped off towards Chaoyang Peak.

Mount Hua has five peaks, with Jade Maiden Peak in the center. To the north is Cloud Terrace Peak, which Li Bai once wrote about in a poem: "Three peaks stand upright as if about to collapse, emerald cliffs and crimson valleys open high like palms. The White Emperor's golden essence moves the primordial energy, the stone forms lotus flowers and the clouds form a terrace."

South Peak, also known as Sword Debate Peak, is not only the highest main peak of Mount Hua, but also the highest peak among the Five Sacred Mountains. There is a Sword Debate Platform on it, where the legendary Mount Hua Sword Debate was held.

The West Peak has a huge rock shaped like a lotus petal, hence it is called Lotus Peak.

To the east is Chaoyang Peak, with a platform at its summit. The platform offers a commanding view and is a great place to watch the sunrise, known as Chaoyang Terrace. Li Mu came here.

This is quite a spectacle; every sunrise, a misty purple aura gathers on the Chaoyang Terrace.
