Chapter 125 - University Forum

The usual game apps could be made by coding alone, but they would never look as stunning or as complete as the game app that He Lixue had planned on making.

She understood that if she did not go all out, then it would end up with others mocking her for taking the back door to enter the department.

She was going to show them just how skilled she was, so she went to the school forum and posted a thread. In this thread, she introduced herself and her project. She made it public knowledge that they had been given this task and that she would go all out.

She knew that if she was low-key about it, others would blame her for cheating, so she blew it out of proportions right at the beginning.

Everyone in the entire University knew of He Lixue's background. Not even one person was unaware that she was the lover of Lu Nanfeng, and thus not many actually replied with answers to her search. Instead, most people sent mocking and bullying messages, saying that she was relying on external factors instead of her own skill to pass the grade.

He Lixue did not mind others saying this, only those in the know-how would know that although art and script could seem like external factors, the coding would become much more complicated by adding it to the game Especially for the type of game she planned on making, which was an MMO game.

It was true that art and script were important, but that alone did not make a game. He Lixue calmly ignored the flaming she was receiving online, and instead, she waited patiently for someone to come forward and tell her that they would take on the task.

Some might take the job just to see who she was, but there would also be those who were serious about their profession and would want to earn an extra bit of cash.

Not everyone who studied at the Imperial Capital was wealthy.

He Lixue smirked when she received a private message. It was from a woman called Gu Qingqing. She was an art student, and while she was not amongst the highest ranked artists in the course, after He Lixue looked at her portfolio, she thought her art was excellent and would suit the game that she had planned quite well.

In the private messages, the two exchanged contact information, and after a short conversation on their chat app, they decided on the art that had to be created, both concept art, character art, landscape art, and so on, and the pay for these.

He Lixue had agreed on a rather generous pay, and they decided to meet and sign a contract that included the commercial rights to all art.

He Lixue was quite pleased and continued to wait for a scriptwriter to show up, but even at the end of the day, no one had shown the intention to get into contact with her.

Even so, He Lixue was not in a hurry. She was smiling and happy the following morning when she appeared at the lecture hall, but while she was calm and collected, the others were looking at her with mixed expressions.

Some thought she was an idiot. Either she depended on those outside factors to make her game look good, or was trying to achieve more than what was humanly possible for a first-year student.

Others thought that she was going to cheat and depend on Lu Nanfeng to buy a game, but they dared not say it. Eventually, there were also a few people who thought that it was possible that He Lixue was, in fact, a proficient genius when it came to computers. Her demeanor did not resemble someone who would cheat, and even less that of an idiot.

He too, had initially thought that He Lixue was a woman with looks but no brain, but upon remembering the notes she had written the day before, he became unsure.

He was even more unsure when he found that she had decided to make an MMO game in such a short time.

One has to know that it was not an easy task at all, and he could not help but hope that she managed to recruit both an artist and a scriptwriter, as he wanted to see her try her hand at it. He wanted to know if she could live up to the challenge she had set for herself.

The students noticed the gaze, but they did not think much about it. Many thought that he was just looking at her as if she was an idiot, and thus they grinned secretly. Zhang Jingyue was especially feeling refreshed after seeing He Lixue claim to make such a game online.

If she failed, she would be slapping herself in the face, and she could not wait to see that. How could He Lixue possibly think that she was worthy of Lu Nanfeng? Only someone as amazing as herself was worthy of that noble and attractive man.

He Lixue was unaware that one of her classmates was coveting her man. She did not care about other people joking at her expense. Neither did she care about them mocking her or even scolding her, but as soon as someone was aiming their words or thoughts on Lu Nanfeng, her mood became unstable, and her eyes glistened with malice.

She also already disliked Zhang Jingyue, so if she knew that this woman was coveting her man, she would be angry. How dare she.

As the school ended, He Lixue exited the building while checking her phone. She was curious about whether or not a scriptwriter had contacted her, but there was still no answer, apart from all the scolding and flaming that she had expected.

Frowning, she wondered if she had to hire someone who had graduated when she noticed that a whole group of students had gathered outside the school grounds, looking towards a somewhat familiar car.
