Many of the women from the IT department looked at He Lixue with jealousy. They were unhappy with the fact that she had taken the backdoor into the University, but more than that, they were extremely unhappy that she was so fortunate. 

What had she done in her previous life that allowed her to be looked at with such adoring eyes by Lu Nanfeng? 

She was nothing more than a woman who was forsaken by her family, so why would Lu Nanfeng treat her like a treasure? 

He Lixue did not care about the various thoughts of everyone present. She was just happy to see that her man had come to pick her up, and she hurried to his car. 

Seeing her coming over, a smile spread on Lu Nanfeng's lips, and both of them could sense the other's happiness. 

He Lixue happily moved into the car, unaware that it had been seen by her jealous cousin He Huiling. 

He Huiling had noticed Lu Nanfeng from the moment he had shown up. She had heard about the fact that He Lixue was now studying in the University, and that it was Lu Nanfeng who was behind her sudden enrollment. 

She was feeling so jealous that her hands were clenched, and her eyes alight with a flame of anger. 

Her teeth were gritting tightly, and she looked at the car that drove into the distance with anger. Then a smile suddenly appeared on her lips, and her hands slowly softened. 

If He Lixue could manage to keep Lu Nanfeng, then who said that she couldn't? She had managed to steal Jiang Jinnan from her when they were still together, so why could she not seduce Lu Nanfeng? 

He Lixue was unaware of the thoughts that her cousin was harboring, but even if she knew, she would not be nervous. 

While He Huiling was an attractive person, she was nowhere near He Lixue, but even if she was more beautiful, He Lixue would not mind it, as she knew that Lu Nanfeng had not fallen for her purely due to her appearance.

He was not a person who would judge a book by its cover, nor was he a person who would be fooled by one's appearance. He was indeed happy with He Lixue, and he was naturally attracted to her looks, but more than that, he loved her personality, which made her who she was. 

In the car, He Lixue and Lu Nanfeng went to the He Manor. They did not go to their own mansion, having been invited to dinner at his parents' place. 

He Lixue could not help but look at Di Zhiqing with a bit of hesitation when she saw that the two parents were standing at the front door waiting for them to appear. 

Di Zhiqing had an apologetic smile on her face, and He Lixue instantly guessed what had happened. She had realized the real appearance of Lin Xiulan and felt guilty.

He Lixue was no saint. She would not forgive those who had wronged her, but Di Zhiqing was different. She was Lu Nanfeng's mother, and it seemed as if she had realized her mistake. 

Since she seemed to feel apologetic, He Lixue had no intention of being stubborn. She smiled at Di Zhiqing, and while it would take some time for them to get close, she was not at all hostile. 

Seeing the two of them being polite to one another, both Master Lu and Lu Nanfeng took a deep sigh of relief. 

Both of them had feared that the relationship between their two most important women would remain strained, but now it seemed that it was not the case. 

Also, Lin Xiulan had been forced to leave the country, and it seemed that it was a one-way ticket. The Lin family had no intention of letting her return to their country again.

The dinner was a huge success, everyone was polite, and Di Zhiqing got an entirely new impression of He Lixue. She was not a useless doll that could do nothing but seduce Lu Nanfeng and let him deal with all problems for her. 

Di Zhiqing had heard that He Lixue had entered the Imperial University with the help of Lu Nanfeng, and she was fearful that she would bring with it a bad reputation, but upon talking with He Lixue, she understood that things were not at all as she had initially thought. 

He Lixue was a knowledgeable person. She was in love with Lu Nanfeng, and from what Di Zhiqing could understand, she was not with him because of his wealth, but because she genuinely liked his person.

When she realized this, Di Zhiqing could not help but feel some guilt in her heart. 

He Lixue was gentle and open minded, although she had been wronged before, she did not make it hard for Di Zhiqing, and took the initiative to get to know her instead. 

"Lixue, I happened to be a scriptwriter before," Di Zhiqing said with a smile on her face. "I put my pen down on the shelves when I married, but I did win quite a few awards. If you are looking for a scriptwriter, why don't I try my hand at it?"

He Lixue was surprised to hear what Di Zhiqing said. She had guessed that this Madam Lu had previously worked prior to marriage, but she never imagined that it was as a scriptwriter. This would prove quite beneficial to her. 

"It would be my honor to work together with you," He Lixue said with a smile on her face.

Lu Nanfeng and Master Lu were thus entirely forgotten by the two women, who then pressed their heads together and began planning the script and the details about the game that He Lixue was working on.

He Lixue also showed the sketches she had gotten from the artist and explained all her thoughts and ideas in detail. 

Di Zhiqing had heard about her joining the IT department through the back door, and while she had previously been unhappy that her son had done such a thing, she was now quite pleased with his performance. Her daughter-in-law was amazing!
