From Dusk till Dawn!

Contrary to her expectations, when she walked out of the maze, she did not find Mo Yuhan. Instead, it was Li Yu fighting with the mercenaries who were more than a hundred.

She could've gone back to the maze before anyone saw her but she did not.

She was not an ungrateful person. Despite the man's dislike towards her, he has lowered himself to be her bodyguard by accepting Mo Yuhan's punishment. He did his job whole-heartedly.

'Never abandon your comrades when they need you,' It was what her grandfather taught her since she was a child.

And for her, Li Yu was a comrade. No matter how much he berated her or detested her, the man willingly walked through every danger with her. He could choose not to come to America with her but he came.

Later when they were talking to Si Xiu, she noticed the man's movements who attacked them. At that time, Li Yu was immersed in his thoughts and she took advantage of it by pushing him away. 

Her speed has always been her advantage which is why she managed to dodge the bullet, although it grazed past her arm. 

As she told him, she indeed wanted to make him indebted to her. Li Yu is a proud man, he would never go back on his words and she was sure of that. She waiting for tomorrow to know the truth.

Even though it was all because of Mo Yuhan's commands, Li Yu always followed her like a shadow to protect her. So even if there was no such thing, she would not have wanted him to be dead.

She was not an ingrate, she would have protected him even without such reason but she did not find it necessary to explain herself to anyone.

She glanced at the stars in the dark sky, a small sigh escaped her lips, "Mo Yuhan, where are you?" She whispered, her eyelids drooping down as she fell asleep while leaning back on the headrest.

"This is good," Ying Yue gazed at the cufflinks with shining eyes. Her gaze then landed on the Stefano diamond-plated necktie, "Get that one too," She said to the shop attendant who smiled at the lady's eager expression.

'It must be a gift for her boyfriend,' The shop attendant thought.

"Xiao Yue."

Ying Yue paused when she heard the familiar voice. Her lips curved when she recognized the voice, "Brother Shen," She greeted the man who entered the shop accompanied by a lady. 

Li Shen walked towards her with a gentle smile on his face, "I had not expected to see you here in S City."

Ying Yue chuckled, "Neither did I," It has been more than seven months since she last met the man.

Li Shen was a model turned actor who had consecutively won the title of Film Emperor for the past three years.

He was also signed under the Blue Star Entertainments. When she first stepped into the entertainment industry, she lacked confidence. As a newbie trainee, she was always plotted behind her back for a few reasons but this senior of hers helped her quite a few times.

Later on, they even shared a few platforms and starred in a few ads together. A few months later, he got an offer in a blockbuster film, changing his career path.

But for Ying Yue, Li Shen would always be the kind senior and mentor who helped her selflessly in her struggling times.

Li Shen smiled at her words, "How have you been? I have heard a few rumors recently?" While he called her to ask her about her situation, she never answered nor called him back.

"Eh…Rumors are just rumors. I just wanted a short break," Ying Yue sighed. When she had to pay for the contract breach, she made sure to keep it confidential but a few things leaked from here and there and made it to the tabloids. 

"Your girlfriend?" She looked at the woman standing behind him, and quickly changed the topic.

She did not know what to say in case he continued the topic. It was fine to weep her heart out in front of Mo Zihan. But in front of others, she felt embarrassed to mention that she was confused about the career path she had been in for so many years.

"No, she is my friend," Li Shen replied almost immediately. He turned to look at the woman standing beside him, "Let me introduce you both. She is Jiang Shu, my best friend and she is Ying Yue, my little junior sister."

The woman named Jiang Shu recognized the woman the moment she saw her, "Of course, who doesn't know Supermodel Ying Yue."

"Nice to meet you," Ying Yue nodded at her.

"Nice to meet you too."

"Excuse me, Miss?" The shop attendant called out to her at this point. Since they were talking earlier, she found it rude to interrupt. "Shall I pack these for you?" She asked holding the necktie and cufflinks.

Ying Yue smiled, "Yes."

The shop attendant bowed before excusing herself.

Looking at the smile on her face, Jiang Shu could not help but ask, "Was that for your lover?" 

She marveled at the sight of the Stefano diamond-plated necktie, there were only a few pieces in the world. She did not expect to find one here.

A slight frown settled on Ying Yue's beautiful face. In the entertainment industry, the term lover is not taken as a good one, it either makes the man a boy-toy or the woman a mistress.

Li Shen also frowned but the reason behind it was different.

Ying Yue sighed as she looked at the smile on Jiang Shu's face. Bitch alert! The hair on her body stood up as she shook her head.

It wasn't like they were friends or they were going to meet again so she sighed, "No, it's for my boyfriend."

Jiang Shu nodded her head, "I meant the same."

Ying Yue smiled. Of course, you did!

Li Shen furrowed his brows, "Boyfriend?!"

Before Ying Yue could speak, her phone started ringing. Looking at the caller ID, a beautiful smile made its way to her face, "Yes baby?... Hmm, the collection is good here...I loved it, thanks for your suggestion and the VIP entry card…Yeah, I'm leaving now…" She hung up the call before looking back at the two people standing in front of her, "Brother Shen, Miss Jiang, I shall be taking my leave now."

Jiang Shu nodded her head as she watched the woman leaving the shopping mall after she settled the bill.

"Heartbroken?"
