Hogwarts: I am Voldemort

Chapter 23 Maple Leaf Training Ground

Life becomes happier when you are with cheerful people.

Rubeus Hagrid was definitely the most cheerful person Voldemort had ever seen in his past life.

"Qi Luo, you see, I have learned it too."

Hagrid roared loudly, stirred the oak wand, and the wall rose from the ground, growing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Voldemort gave him a big compliment, and at the same time kept moving his hands, making the wall in front of him grow rapidly.

They are creating a real battlefield.

According to Voldemort's vision, the site will start from Hagrid's Hut and spread into the Forbidden Forest, penetrating into the Forbidden Forest like leaves and roots.

Afterwards, in the Forbidden Forest, the walls separated to the left and right, making two arcs, and began to enclose the land.

The final appearance will be like a maple leaf existing in the Forbidden Forest, and the veins of the maple leaf are the path inside.

The three tips of the maple leaf will represent three different levels of difficulty. The left side is for first and second graders, the right side is for third and fourth graders, and the middle one is for fifth, sixth and seventh graders.

The actual battlefield for the first and second graders was basically filled with harmless creatures, and the final boss was a boggart that looked powerful but was actually not very harmful.

In the actual battlefield for the third and fourth graders, the dangers skyrocketed. The final boss was a cute giant monster—not the kind that would be knocked unconscious by his own stick.

In the actual battlefield in the middle, the final boss was to be decided. Hagrid had suggested using his Hippogriff, but Voldemort had different ideas. He wanted to get a Dementor, and he never forgot about it.

And all of this is just a preliminary idea. Voldemort hopes that in the future, he will have the opportunity to replace the enemies in the three levels.

For example, a giant monster on the left, a soul-stealer on the right, and a giant dragon or thunderbird in the middle would be great.

It’s not certain whether the final idea can be realized, but the name of this actual battlefield has been decided:

The Maple Leafs training ground comes from its shape.

"Qi Luo, such a large amount of work is difficult for just the two of us. Maybe we should ask other professors for help." Hagrid said to him without stopping his hands.

"Professor McGonagall? I told her, but she doesn't have time recently." The first person Voldemort looked for was Professor McGonagall. As a transfiguration master, she was the best choice.

"No, I'm talking about Professor Kettleburn. He knows more about magical creatures than I do." Hagrid said excitedly, with a hint of admiration in his words.

"Oh, I forgot about him, but does he have time?" Voldemort asked, "Didn't he enjoy this rare vacation and enjoy his family with his wife and children?"

"He has no wife and children." Hagrid said with a wide grin. "Magical creatures are his wife and children. If you let him know that you are going to build an actual battlefield with magical creatures as the main body, he will definitely support it."

Voldemort was slightly stunned. He didn't know that this professor had no wife or children. He only knew that this man had been on probation for sixty-two years... This was really a sad story.

"And Professor Flitwick," Hagrid said again.

"Professor Flitwick? He doesn't have a wife or children?" Voldemort asked habitually.

Hagrid's face dropped when he heard this. He said to Voldemort seriously: "Quirrell, although there are many single professors at Hogwarts, not all professors are single."

Voldemort nodded immediately, but he suddenly realized that most of the professors at Hogwarts...are really single. Is this also a curse?

"Professor Flitwick likes you very much, and he likes dueling. He also won a dueling championship whose name I don't know, so you can invite him."

"Hagrid, asking you to be my associate professor is the most correct decision." Voldemort nodded fiercely and said, "Let us take a break and write two letters."

Hagrid readily agreed, and as he wrote, he extended an invitation for a drink that evening.

"Go to the Three Broomsticks Bar. I'll treat you. The salary of a professor is higher than that of an associate professor." Voldemort said in a tone that could not be refused.

"Okay, you are always right." Hagrid nodded and added, "But we can write a few more letters to each professor. We have to try."

"Except Snape." Voldemort said with a smile, and Hagrid nodded in understanding.

The Three Broomsticks Pub.

"Yes, he has so many fantastic ideas in his head that just looking at him makes me feel like a fool."

Hagrid praised loudly, and Voldemort helplessly shrugged at Rosmerta - who was looking at him with a bright smile.

"You can rest here at my place at night." She whispered to Voldemort while Hagrid was bragging to Professor Kettleburn, "I also have a guest room upstairs."

Not really, but Voldemort knew what she meant.

"No, I've been too busy recently and have a lot of things to do." Voldemort refused.

Rosmerta's face showed disappointment, and Voldemort pretended not to see it, and looked at Professor Kettleburn - he had arrived in the afternoon.

"Professor, I need you to give me more advice on magical creatures." Voldemort said, "You know, I don't know much about that."

"Of course." Professor Kettleburn, who had lost both hands and feet, nodded and said, "I can still remember your appearance when you were in school. You were afraid of those creatures, but they are not dangerous."

Voldemort smiled and nodded, but looked at the professor's broken arm and thigh - the professor's body proved that his words were not credible.

"I recently got a Niffler and thought I could throw it in," Professor Kettleburn said. "It would add a lot of fun."

Voldemort shrugged, it didn't matter if this little guy was harmless and just stole something.

"So, is there anything more exciting? Like the Horned Camel?" Voldemort asked.

Hagrid's eyes lit up. He liked Voldemort's proposal.

"That won't work. They need vast forests. Captivity will make them violent." Professor Kettleburn pointed to his broken arm with one arm. "This is their masterpiece. It is too dangerous for students."

Voldemort nodded, having figured out Professor Kettleburn's bottom line - in this case, he could safely leave the task of finding magical creatures to him.

"The invisible beast is good. It doesn't have a high desire to attack, but it likes to harass. It can be tamed."

Professor Kettleburn began to talk, to which Voldemort and Hagrid could only listen.

"Snake birds are very dangerous, but I have raised a nest that can come in handy..."

"Billywig, if you get stung by it, you can float..."

"Goblin, these thorns are very troublesome, just right for..."

The more he talked, the more excited he became. Hagrid was listening with stars in his eyes, but Voldemort was not interested.

Instead, he was thinking whether he should build a zoo of magical creatures in the magical world, so that he could learn more about magical creatures and make money.

"I'll write to Pomona soon and ask her to come over." Kettleburn's words finally attracted Voldemort's attention.

"Will she come?" Voldemort asked.

"She must come," Kettleburn said firmly. "Without her creating an environment suitable for magical creatures to live, high walls would not be able to stop them."

Voldemort was stunned, but he was getting more and more excited - it seemed that more and more professors were involved in this matter.

By the way, how many professors at Hogwarts are single? In my memory... Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, and the magical creatures are all single, the one who was predicted to be single is also single, the one who slipped out of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class was single (Lupine was single successfully, but at the expense of his life), and others I don't remember.
