For The Smile

The next day, I decided at lunch break to study again in the same way.

“Oomichi-kun, do you mind?”

“Ahh, okay.”

I reply without smiling, I do not know if I am even in a bad mood or a good one. However I will not shrink.

In the first place when you receive tutoring, if you slowly take your time studying, other girls will not come.

“This problem here, I don’t …”

“Ahー, that one huh, I don’t understand it either.”

“Eh! Then let’s think about it together!”

Unexpectedly lucky. Instead of being taught the problem, we can think together. If we deduce the solution the distance will shorten, we might see a smile. My heart became full with anticipation.

“This syntax… is usable I wonder?”

“No, the sentence structure ends up weird”

As expected, Oomichi-kun is a smart and kind person. If my judgement is wrong, he would explain how it is unusual. To the incorrect words his words are not words of rebuke. He gently corrected the mistake.

“Sugishita-san?”

“Eh !? Aaahhh s s s, sorry! I was blanking…”

“I see(Is that so)…”

Oops(oh no/damn), I was fascinated by Oomichi-kun. Truly a gentle person… And I to Oomichi-kun, truly like…

“Ah! How about this one?”

After pondering for a moment to the solution I gave,

“The right answer maybe, its great”

“No no no! It was thanks to Oomichi-kun!”

Although I was embarrassed I took a peek glancing at Oomichi-kun. The expression was,

“Smile…”

As I muttered, Oomichi-kun was visibly flustered,

“Sorry, Sugishita-san. See you later”

“Ah… Un”

A beautiful smile, however it was a fleeting smile that soon disappeared.

I was curious as to why he was flustered to such a degree concerning “smile”.

While looking at his back during class, while remembering his smile after school.  Why he doesn’t smile, I wondered if there is reason… If that was the case,why such a thing…

The inside of my mind became a mess.

A few days after that occurred.

“Kaori, are you really okay?”

Mizuki arrived with worry during break time.

“Uーn…”

“Go to the infirmary? Somehow it’s sluggish”

My head hurts from over thinking. Recently I could not sleep and my body is heavy. It was such a feeling.

“I’m alright, just a little sleepy”

“…Don’t overdo it”

Mizuki is confident and manly(strong-minded), but the basis is properly a gentle young woman.

While watching Mizuki’s retreating back my view became slanted.
