Alaine’s Heavenly Sword. A Heavenly Sword that pierced through everything. It pierced the chained boy. Or so I thought. That was what I thought. 

But, it didn’t. 

Alaine’s Heavenly Sword was blocked by the shield put up by the chained boy. That shield… It looked very familiar.

Alaine’s expression became distorted. 

Aegis. God’s Shield. One of my ritual implements.

Ritual implements. A weapon or tool made with overwhelming magic power that transcended human knowledge. The power contained in those things were exceptional.

I approached the chained boy. I summoned a Magic Sword to crush the chained boy’s treasured tool, the aegis. 

……His aegis is weaker than I thought. 

“……..”

The chained boy spoke another hoarse, inaudible voice again and at the same time, an enormous magic power enveloped the space. 

“Oooh…”

I raised my voice. 

Not only was he able to make my ritual implements but this chained boy was able to make a Magic Sword too. He was just like me. I thought these abilities belonged only to me but…. I guess I was wrong?

I was about to shoot down all the Magic Swords the chained boy launched at me when…. Alaine made her move first. She knocked down all the incoming Magic Swords with her Heavenly Sword.

I tilted my head to the side. The Magic Swords launched by the chained boy were easily destroyed by the Heavenly Sword even though my Magic Swords could receive Alaine’s Heavenly Sword without any problem…. Maybe the durability of my Magic Sword was better than his? The same could be said about his Aegis and mine too…. Maybe in terms of overall strength, I was stronger than him?

While glaring at the chained boy with a stern expression on her face, Alaine called out to me.

“Don’t take it out….. I will destroy that thing.”

“Yes Ma’am~”

I obediently nodded at Alaine’s words and took a step back.

Alaine held her sword out, preparing her Heavenly Sword while the chained boy summoned numerous Magic Swords. One monster kicked the ground, launching herself and another monster prepared to meet her head on.
