Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star
Chapter 113 - Ch. 113 Punisher Creature
"Aaah! Go away!!" screamed Fye while closing her eyes because she was too afraid of the pain she would feel once the electricity spread throughout her body.
Suddenly, she didn't feel pain the next second, but a chill radiated from the ground on which she was sitting. Fye ventured to open her eyes and was astonished to see what she was seeing.
Never did she expected that Max was fearless to hold the Vectis's wrist, which was about to touch her head. The electricity flowing through Vectis' hands could melt the rulers' brains, and it hurts like hell.
Even if the rulers of nature wanted to fight, they wouldn't be able to resist. The advantage that Vectis has was that it could create energy to fight those who oppose it.
Max was holding back the electric power by using his ice energy factor, yet his counter barely did anything to the creature. Vectis converted his energy into a fire, causing the skin of Max's palm to scald.
"What is the blue king doing in here? Your territory is not here." stated the Vectis sarcastically. "Let go of my hand if you don't want to lose yours."
Max didn't answer. He pulled Fye up with his other hand and then hid her behind him. Only then did Max release his grip on the creature's wrist, ignoring the stinging pain in his burning palm.
Neither of them spoke for a moment. Even if Vectis could kill a guilty ruler, it couldn't do anything in front of an unguilty one.
Max has not committed any sin for which Vectis had to punish him. Therefore, the creature couldn't touch nor hurt Max. Those were the absolute rules so that Max wasn't afraid and protected Fye from the punisher creature.
"I have no business with either of you. Get rid of your guilt, for I could smell your fear from a distance. I let you go now, but it wouldn't be the same for others."
Fye nodded her head once while clutching her chest, which was pounding with fear.
"And one more thing. One of you must get out of this continent as far as possible. The yellow king lives here, and you know the rules. There can be no more than two rulers in the same place."
After saying that, the Vectis disappeared from their sight, and their surroundings were back normally in that instant. Humans re-emerge and operate as usual. The sky was no longer dark, and the sun still looks bright.
Everyone except Max and Fye didn't notice the change in the weather that day. It was as if the appearance of one of the Vectis in this world had never happened.
"Max, your hand. We have to treat your hand immediately."
Max glanced at his right hand, which now looked terrible. His hand was full of redness as if they had been soaked in boiling water.
Max took Fye into a small alley where no one was there and teleported straight to his mansion. That's when he started to feel excruciating pain in his hand, and his jaw clenched tightly to endure the pain.
Fye, assisted by a butler, prepared medicine and applies antiseptic treatment to Max's hand.
If only Fye could use the power of time, she could instantly roll back the state of the man's hand back to its original form. Unfortunately, she couldn't use her powers on living things.
"It must hurt a lot." Fye feels guilty about having to involve Max in his troubles.
"Not anymore. I have frozen the nerves that connect pain to my brain." that's the only way he knew to take the pain away.
Fye sighed, feeling guilty. "Do you feel unfair? Out of the four of us, you're the only one who can't heal your own injuries."
Max looked down at his butler's perfectly bandaged hand.
"I can't die. If I could heal my own wounds, wouldn't I be invincible? Even Vectis might have a hard time punishing me if I did the unforgivable sin one day. Each of us has our strengths as well as weaknesses. Nothing is perfect or invincible in this world."
"I know." Once again, Fye took a deep breath. "I think I'm going back to England."
Fye already likes living in America. But getting a warning from one of the Vectis, she couldn't help but obey. One of them had to leave America because of the physical body of the new yellow king living here in America.
"Are you sure?"
"It's not like you want to leave here right after you meet her."
"That's true."
"So, I must leave. But at least we know the gale master is indeed live here. Sorry, I can't help much from now on."
Max shook his head. "You've helped me a lot. Thank you. Regarding your leaving, why don't you go to Asia? I will ask one of my assistants to accompany you there. This way, you can avoid British Interpol and live comfortably in Asia. What do you think?"
"I will accept it. Thank you very much."
Without wasting any more time, Max called his butler to contact his assistant in China. After that, he let his assistant in China take care of everything Fye needed while she was there.
In truth, Max felt bad that he had to throw Fye away like this. But what Fye thought was the same thing he thought. They had received a one-time warning from Vectis. If they delayed it or even violated it, not only would Fye be listed as a guilty ruler, Maximillian's name would also be on the Vectis' punishment list.
That's why neither of them dared to delay it for a second.
After everything was settled, Max returned to Daphnia Fashion to pick Chleo up. Luckily he arrived on time, and Chleo was already walking out of the elevator with Evie and Dietrich.
Only he forgot something. He totally forgot about his bandaged hand as if he had received a severe wound.
"Max! What happens with your hand?!" Chleo screeched hysterically when she realized that his right hand was bandaged up to his fingertips.
"…" What kind of explanation should he give Chleo?
