Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

They started a gift exchange event which the teenagers highly anticipated after the enjoyable dinner.

The gifts they had brought had been neatly arranged under the Christmas tree. There were different kinds of varied gift wrapping. Some have floral motifs, some have doll motifs intended for girls, and some have regular patterns so no one can guess who will receive the gift.

Abigail started by drawing an ice cream stick that was contained in a closed black tube. The ice cream sticks were the same number as their family members, and the person who got the ice cream stick painted red on the bottom end would pick the surprise gift first.

Then the person would be free to take gifts neatly arranged under the Christmas tree.

The person would present the gift to the name on the wrapping paper. But, where is the fun if this person directly gives it to the owner? Abigail and Chleo teamed up to create a rule.

The person who takes the gift has the right to give a challenge before giving the gift. The challenge may be a riddle, answering a question, or an action to do something embarrassing.

The challenged person might decline if the trial was too crafty to do, but the surprise gift would be given to someone else through a random draw once all the presents under the Christmas tree have been given to each recipient.

Then the person who just received the gift walked over to take the present at random and did the same with the name on the gift package. And so on until all the surprise gifts were in the hands of each recipient.

Chleo had thought about the possibility that the fathers would refuse and didn't care that the prize would fall in someone else's hands. So they set other rules. They settled several names that were not allowed to refuse the given challenge.

The names were Kinsey, Vincent, and Benjamin. These three people were the most powerful and respected figures in the world of business empires so that no one dared to mess with them.

Chleo also made other rules because she knew that not all adults dared to prank the two great business kings other than their own wives and children. So she had prepared a lottery of various challenges for the other adults to choose from so they wouldn't feel anxious or afraid to prank the two outstanding figures.

Abigail had read the rules they had to obey, then smiled triumphantly, making Vincent and Kinsey sigh heavily at the same time.

"Vincent, your niece is really something.".

"I'm pretty sure this was Chleo's idea." Vincent looked at his daughter suspiciously, and his guess was correct because he could see her daughter's mischief smile.

Is his daughter taking revenge on him because he had banned her from working in Washington?

"I can see she's excited to work on us." Kinsey shook his head at his niece.

The two men exchanged glances and then once again sighed in resignation. Well, as long as their loved ones rejoice (over the suffering they are about to go through), it's all worth it.

Everyone picked up the ice cream sticks to determine who took the gifts to give to the original recipients. And it turned out that the first person to choose a gift was Melodie.

The girl jumped up and down happily and took the gift that caught her attention. The gift package was exquisite with a red flower petal motif and plain white as the background.

She twirled the gift looking for a name, and saw her mother's name perfectly imprinted on the end of the present.

Meli's eyes shone towards her mother and then smiled broadly, showing her perfect white teeth. Everyone knew right away that the present she had picked up was for Katie.

"Okay, Meli, what kind of challenge do you want to give your mother?" asked Chleo.

As usual, Meli was so stingy to talk. She waved her hand for Chleo to bow slightly towards her. Chleo complied and bent down to let Meli whisper in her ear.

Not long after, Chleo giggled, followed by Meli's amused laugh, which made the others curious.

"Aunt Katie, Meli said you should kiss Uncle Kinsey right now in front of everyone."

"Eh?" Katie's face was as red as a boiled crab, never expecting her daughter to make her do an unexpected, embarrassing act.

On the other hand, Kinsey chuckled and thumbed up at her daughter.

"Go kiss him," someone yelled, seeing Katie's doubts.

"Kiss!"

"Kiss!"

Followed by another cheer prompting Katie to do her challenge, making Katie bit her lip in frustration.

In the end, Katie gave up and stood in front of her husband and tiptoed a little so she could reach his lips.

She was only planning to give a light kiss, but her sly husband held her neck and devoured her lips affectionately, making the others cheered more excitedly to see their intimate scene.

Cathy chuckled, not expecting her daughter and niece's idea to be so meddlesome but amusing. At first, Cathy doubted whether this vacation with a large family could work smoothly or not, considering most of them have different principles and traditions.

Previously, she had tried to reunite her siblings with the Regnz family, which did not turn out well.

Apart from her parent-in-law, the rest of the Regnz family could not accept Vincent marrying her due to her background.

Most of them insulted Cathy and did not accept her completely, making her siblings defend Cathy, and an argument ensued. Since then, she and Vincent both agreed not to gather their two families in the same place.

Now it's not only the Regnz family that gathers but also the Paxton and Wu brothers, who are of Chinese descent and have lived in Singapore for a long time.

Cathy was worried that there would be an argument between them. Fortunately, her worries were completely unnecessary. The first day went pretty smoothly, and she hoped they would all get to know each other better over the week.

Alas, an unexpected event would occur the following day.
