Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chapter 154 - Ch. 154 Back To Seattle

That day the weather in Seattle decreased drastically from the last time Chleo stayed there. Snow has accumulated everywhere, and residents rarely use the four-wheeled vehicles.

As soon as Chleo and the little Bernz family got off the plane and into the airport, they instantly shivered with cold. Luckily Evie was already wearing her thick jacket, so it wasn't too chilly.

As for Chleo, she wasn't wearing her thickest jacket and was wearing a regular coat. She overestimated herself! She thought she could handle the icy weather, but who would have thought the temperature in Seattle had dropped so much that it could freeze her body.

"Chleo, don't you have the fur coat your uncle gave you? It's thicker and warmer than the one you're wearing now." Felicia felt sorry for Chleo, who was now gritting her teeth from the cold.

"The coat… brrrr… is in the trunk. I'll be fine... after getting in the car."

"By the way, is Dietrich going to pick us up?" Benjamin asked his daughter.

"Yes."

"Alright, then let's go out." the other immediately approved Benjamin.

This time they went home using the Alvianc group's private plane, so they didn't have to queue to pick up their luggage and went straight out through a special line where Dietrich was waiting for them.

Chleo didn't have to worry about exposing her identity, even if they were on a private plane. Dietrich already knew Evie's background, and Chleo could use the excuse that Evie had been kind enough to take her home and go out together.

"Dex!"

Chleo wondered if Evie and her lover would have such an electrifying reunion ritual like a few months ago. They wouldn't, would they? Right in front of Benjamin and Felicia?

Chleo heaved a relief sigh when she saw the lovebirds just hugged normally.

All of a sudden, someone patted her head, and a scarf wrapped around her magically from behind. Chleo turned back and saw a young man who was taller than her with a charming smile and incredibly alluring blue eyes standing there.

"Welcome back."

Chleo smiled broadly at the young man's voice like a magnificent cello. Chleo looked at the scarf that Max had given and then looked at the young man with a questioning look.

"You're shivering. Just wear my scarf."

Chleo widened her eyes at that. This blue scarf is Max's!? No wonder she could smell the refreshing peppermint scent of the scarf—a very distinctive scent from the young man.

"Then what about you?"

"I'm not cold." Max was still smiling, making the girl's heart in front of him melt until it was out of shape.

"Oh my gosh, who is this? Could it be the famous Maximillian?"

The two immediately turned to Felicia, and instantly Chleo's face seemed to be in a burning oven. She had forgotten the fact that Benjamin and Felicia were there with them!

Maximillian had never met Evie's parents, but he did know Benjamin Paxton as the owner of the Star Risen Hotel on the island of Pina. His employees submitted a proposal to have a vacation to the island of Pina as a reward if they managed to reach the target for the next year.

Max bowed his head slightly as a sign of respect as a younger person. He already knew that the Bernz family was Chleo's close relative, but he acted obliviously and pretended that Chleo was just a friend of the Bernz family's daughter.

His polite demeanor and attention for Chleo made Felicia quickly like him.

The blue king was already used to being friendly and polite to people who looked older than him. Even though he believed that he was the oldest, Max would not be rude and cause people to think he came from an uneducated family.

Of course, Maximillian wouldn't let anyone bully him just because he looked younger than them. There were times when Max would show his overbearing side and give a dangerous impression. But other than that, his daily life was to give joy to the people around him.

"Good afternoon. I'm Dietrich's friend from England."

"Oh, we heard a lot about you. You've been very famous this week."

Maximillian still smiled politely, but his brow furrowed, indicating he didn't understand the meaning of the middle-aged woman's words. He glanced at Chleo because he felt that only the girl knew the hidden meaning of the older woman's words.

"Auntie, can we talk about something else?" Chleo cut in before Felicia could say another sentence. "How about we get in the car first? I'm already freezing. Max, did you come here with Dietrich, or did you bring your own car?" Chleo whispered her last words only for her lover.

"We did come together, but we brought our own cars. Why?"

Chleo smiled with satisfaction hearing that. "Aunt Fefe, Uncle Ben, I'm going to be with Max and part ways right now. Thank you for taking care of me all this time."

"But…" we wanted to talk to the handsome young man. Those were the words Felicia was about to say. But her words were interrupted when Chleo hugged her quickly and then took turns hugging Benjamin and Evie.

"See you in the new semester," Chleo said goodbye quickly after kissing Evie's cheek and then grabbed Max's arm, who helped Chleo carry her things.

"Oh, what a pity. Why did she even run away?" Felicia was disappointed that she couldn't get any information about the young man to report it to Vincent.

As you expected, Vincent secretly asked Felicia a favor to find out about Maximillian without hiring a detective. He didn't want to risk that Chleo found out that he investigated Max, so he had no other choice but to count on his childhood best friend.

Luckily the Seattle airport was quite busy that day, so the parking location between Max and Dietrich's car was a bit far, and Chleo didn't have to face Felicia again.

Chleo let Max put her things in the trunk. While waiting, she admired the young man's appearance. The man wore a black knee-length coat with a plain matching t-shirt. Max unbuttoning his coat enhances his charm.

Chleo was reminded of the characters in the films she had seen. The figure was a vampire who had pale white skin and thick black hair. His face and hands were as white as snow and lips as red as pomegranates and jet black hair like precious stones. And let's not forget his striking red lips and super cold skin.

Maximillian was now exactly like the vampire character in the movies she's ever seen.

Bam!

There was the sound of the trunk door closing, followed by a pair of beautiful sapphire blue eyes staring straight into her eyes, causing Chleo to stutter. Plus, the man's crooked smile made her feel incredibly flustered.

Her face felt as hot as boiled crab, and she shifted her gaze randomly.

Again she was caught worshiping the man!!
