Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star
Chapter 175 - Ch. 175 Who Kidnaps Chleo?
The gala show had started, and all VIP invitees and selected visitors had entered the main hall of the Hamilton hotel. After the opening speech from Dietrich Hammilton and the leading director of the design section, everyone was given the opportunity to look at Daphnia Fashion's merchandise.
The ladies went straight to the jewelry that looked elegant and stunning while the husbands who recognized The Regnz and Alvianc scrambled to establish a connection with them.
With patience and kindness, Vincent and Kinsey responded to them one by one and tried to avoid the topic of cooperation because they weren't in the mood to talk about business.
Stanley and the others browsed Chleo's jewelry and accessories on display in a particular display case.
"Wow... did sister Chleo make all of these?" asked Moni with a look of admiration.
"The design is indeed from Chleo, but the factory made it," Katie answered her niece's question with an amused laugh..
"When will sister Chleo come? The show has already started." Richard asked impatiently while glancing around the room, looking for her eldest sister's figure.
"Hm… She should have come already. Oh, that's Diego. Let's ask him." suggested Meisya and then approached Diego, who was now eating chocolate pudding.
"You really have sweet teeth, don't you. Instead of admiring your sister's work, you monopolize this sweet corner."
Diego smiled shyly at Aunt Meisya's teasing tone. "You know me very well. I've seen my sister's work numerous times, so I prefer sweet snacks. It's delicious." Diego fed strawberries covered in chocolate sauce to Moni, who had opened her mouth happily.
"Diego, when will Chleo come?"
"She had been here a long time ago. Maybe she's still doing her job here. She's a member of the committee, after all."
Moni and Meli both pursed their mouths because they couldn't wait to meet Chleo. Seeing his two youngest siblings put on a sullen face, Diego chuckled softly.
"Alright, I'll call her now."
The little girls immediately brightened up as soon as Diego said his announcement.
Diego and the girls waited for Chleo to pick it up, but no one answered his call. Diego tried to contact his sister again but got the same result.
Usually, no matter how busy Chleo was, his sister would always answer calls from her family. Even if she were too occupied, Chleo would still take the time to pick it up just to say she'd call him back.
But now Chleo didn't pick it up nor texted him. Did she forget to bring her phone? It was possible, considering his sister was extraordinarily clumsy.
"I think she's overwhelmed with work. Anyone wants chocolate pudding?" Diego offered to try to improve the mood of his youngest siblings, which turned out to be successful. Now they are all enjoying the sweets provided for the visitors.
Diego was busy chatting casually when he felt his phone vibrate.
Diego reached into his phone again and opened the contents of the text that had just arrived. It turned out that the sender was his sister, which surprised him. Why didn't his sister just call him instead of texting him?
'My apology, Diego. I'm busy right now, so I couldn't answer your call. Let me end some stuff first, and I will call you later.'
For a few seconds Diego became a statue with his eyes still focused on the text. His jaw tightened, and his eyes darkened for some reason.
Stanley felt the change in the aura around his nephew, so he tapped the boy on the shoulder to stir up whatever dark thoughts were filling Diego.
"Diego, what's wrong?"
"Someone kidnap my sister."
"..." that was unexpected. "Why do you think like that?"
Diego showed Stanley his phone screen so his uncle could read Chleo's message.
"Isn't it normal?"
"She has never been so formal with me. She's never texted me this politely."
Once again, Stanley read the writing and realized that the writing style was very polite, like an employee talking to her boss.
"You still have the program, right?"
"I… I left it in New York." Diego blamed himself for not bringing the program.
On the other hand, Stanley sighed as he looked for a way out to find Chleo's position.
"Eleanor, can you trace Chleo's camellia bracelet? I need the coordinates now." Stanley activated Eleanor on his watch to give orders.
Not long after, the coordinates of the tracking device attached to the camellia bracelet appeared, and the location point indicated that Chleo was in the hotel.
That means someone locked Chleo up somewhere.
"Audrey, hack this hotel CCTV camera and find traces of Chleo. Where did Chleo go, and who did Chleora meet?"
"What is it?"
Stanley and Diego gasped when Meisya and Katie suddenly appeared near them.
"Why did you ask Audrey to find Chleo?"
Stanley and Diego glanced at each other as if discussing through their eyes. If possible, the rest of the family wouldn't need to know that Chleo was kidnapped. If Chleo was still in this hotel, there was a possibility that they had guessed wrong.
Stanley managed to divert the conversation and bring his wife and sister-in-law back to enjoy the luxurious jewelry presented by Daphnia.
On the other hand, Diego sneaked out unnoticed to contact Yuna.
"Miyu, I need your help. Can I borrow your Vectis for a moment?"
"Of course."
A second later, the mystical creature that had two different eyes appeared in front of him.
"How can I help you, sir?"
"Please find my sister. She is still in this building, but I want to know her exact location."
Not long after the Vectis disappeared, Diego received a notification from Stanley telling him exactly where Chleo's bracelet was. Diego headed straight for the third floor and into the administration office without further ado.
As soon as the door opened, Diego found no one there. "Sis? Are you here?" no answer. "Chleo!"
"Master,"
Diego immediately turned to Vectis, who was already standing beside a round table.
"Isn't that Miss Chleora's bracelet?" Vectis pointed to the floor where a chain bracelet with an open link was there.
Diego immediately took the bracelet to make sure it was his sister's.
This bracelet belongs to his sister! Not only that, he saw another bracelet decorated with blue stones. Wasn't it the bracelet Max gave to his sister?
If Chleo only lost one bracelet, then maybe Diego could understand. Chleo might have accidentally dropped it without realizing it. But there were two bracelets here, and both were her favorite ones.
Chleo couldn't have accidentally removed her bracelet, could she?
"Did you find my sister?" Diego's chest tightened at the thought that the possibility of Chleo having been kidnapped increased.
"I'm sorry. I don't feel Chleo's life in this building at all. There might be the chance that the lady is no longer in this building."
Diego's knees went limp hearing this news. He even had to hold on to a chair to support himself.
Has the person aimed for his sister appeared? Isn't this too fast?
Who is it? Who has been targeting Chleora?
The ladies went straight to the jewelry that looked elegant and stunning while the husbands who recognized The Regnz and Alvianc scrambled to establish a connection with them.
