Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chapter 177 - Ch. 177 Chleo's Whereabout

'Sister Chleo, scream as loud as you can. I will hear you.'

Chleora groaned as if she had just woken up from a deep slumber. She heard someone whisper at her, but she sensed no one's presence.

Who is it?

Whoever it was, the whisper woke her up.

Chleo wondered what day it was, what time it was. Why was the place around her pitch-black? She always asked the same thing every time she woke up in the morning.

Chleo tried to move her arms under her own body, and then her heart seemed to stop when she realized that she couldn't move her arms.

Her hands were tied! Not only that but both of her legs were also bounded!

Chleo noticed her eyes were covered with a black cloth preventing her from seeing anything around her.

Where is she?

Who tied her up?

"Hello? Is there anyone? Help me." Chleo started screaming for help while trying to free herself from the ropes.

"Ugh! Anyone, help me!!"

A feeling of fear began to run through her entire body, making her body shiver. She didn't know whether she was shivering from the cold or fear.

Chleo kept shouting for help, but no one came, which scared her even more.

The ropes on her hands and feet never loosened. In the end, she gave up because she had run out of steam. Her wrist numbed from her attempt to free the tie.

The ropes that bound her hands constantly rubbed against her smooth skin, making her skin blister. Even though she couldn't see, Chleo was sure that her hands would have red marks once the ropes were untied.

Pain, cold and great fear overcame Chleo's heart. Who had so cruelly kidnapped her and left her on the streets? Will she be left to die here?

Street? Was she really on the streets?

Chleo tried to grope the ground under her body. It felt like a ceramic or marble object. Is she on the table?

If she was on the table, she could try to get down first and then slump down, looking for something to open her blindfold.

Chleo moved her feet to the right then shifted to the right. After shifting a few times, Chleo couldn't find a space to lower her legs.

How big is the table?

Chleo changed direction then tried to return to her original position. This time she tried to take her foot to the left, and bingo! She felt her legs could hang from the 'table.'

Chleo tried to sit up by tilting her body to the right then raising her body with difficulty.

After trying several times with movements like a burning worm, Chleo finally managed to get up and sit with her legs stretched out in front of her.

Then Chleo moved her legs to the left and immediately hung down like sitting on a chair with her hands tied behind her back.

Chleo tried to find ground, but she only found air under her feet. She wondered how high this 'table' was?

The highest table must be only around her chest, right? So that the distance between the floor and the feet was not too far.

Thinking like that, Chleo moved her buttocks forward as if to get off her seat.

The longer she moved forward, the more restless her feelings became. What if it turns out she's not on the table? What if she turns out to be in a high place?

Isn't that the same as suicide?

Chleo decided not to jump and sharpened her hearing. She wanted to look for clues to the surrounding situation.

She caught a sound like the siren of a traffic car. Strangely the sound she heard was not so close but not so far away. Chleo was sure she was not inside a room because she felt the night breeze that made her body shiver.

That voice seemed to be coming from...

Below??

Chleo immediately shifted back and lifted her legs onto the 'table.' She suddenly became afraid to think of other, more terrifying possibilities. Is she on top of the building?

Her body shuddered, and fear gripped her more and more at the thought of this last possibility.

Who had the heart to put her at the top of a building? That person was ruthless to tie her hands and feet and blindfolded her eyes. If Chleo wasn't aware of her surroundings, she could just jump out of here, and she'd kill herself.

"HELP!! ANYONE, HELP ME!!"

"Shhh, don't scream."

Chleo gasped at the hoarse voice from the front. The source of the sound seemed to come from the person standing in front of her. Does that mean she's not on top of the building?

"Who are you? Was it you who brought me here?"

"If so, what will you do?"

"Why? What do you want from me?"

"I'm just following someone's orders. Someone wants you not to attend tonight's event."

What? Who?

"But waiting was boring, so I decided to let you go."

"You're going to let me go?" there's hope in her voice, but Chleo couldn't believe her kidnapper just like that.

"If you can come up here, I'll let you go."

In other words, the person wanted Chleo to get down from her 'seat' so that Chleo immediately fell and met her doom.

If you are curious about how that person's voice came from in front of Chleo, you need to know that the person talking to Chleo had long purple hair with a yellow ombre. One eye was red, while the other was blue. That person was smiling like an assassin about to witness the target's death while his eyes flashed with terrifying enthusiasm.

That person was none other than Vectis, who was currently floating in mid-air.

But Chleo didn't know that. She believed the person was standing on the ground and felt sure she was not on high ground. Because of that, Chleo again moved forward to 'climb' down following the person's wishes.

How difficult is it to get down from this 'table' so that she can be released? Chleo thought without knowing death was waiting for her.

"Okay. I'll come down if you promise you'll let me go."

"Of course."

Chleo couldn't see the crooked smile from Vectis, who was excited to see her death.

After Chleo felt half of her buttocks pop out of her seat, Chleo pushed the rest of her buttocks and jumped down…

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Just a moment ago, Harmonie heard Chleo's voice screaming the first time she woke up. But her voice was very faint, as if her cousin wasn't in this state.

Harmonie was frustrated that she couldn't use her power to its full potential. Her physical body was still too young that she couldn't use her energy beyond its limits.

But Chleo's bizarre condition made her uneasy. How come Chleo is in New York? It took at least nine hours to drive from Washington to New York. And it's not even five hours since Chleo departed to this hotel.

Harmonie forced herself to send the wind she ordered to follow her sister's voice without noticing her nose starting to bleed. She knew Chleo was in New York, but she still couldn't find her exact position.

"Moni, you have a nosebleed." Stanley couldn't help but worry about his daughter's condition.

"Wait a minute, I almost found her." Harmonie saw Chleo was at the end of a building and was moving, which would immediately fall if Chleo continued to move to the left.

Stanley immediately took his handkerchief and pressed it right into his daughter's nostril. Stanley was even more worried when he saw his daughter's pair of yellow eyes starting to tear up.

"Moni, what happened? Are you hurt?"

"Chleo… she's not in Washington."

"What do you mean?"

"She's in a high place, and she'll fall if…." Moni couldn't continue as she was desperate to save her sister, but she didn't have the power to do it.

"If what? Where exactly is she? Moni!"

Moni did not have time to answer and raised her eyes to the eagle that had been hovering above. She might not be able to save Chleo, but that guy could.

Moni summoned the wind to inform Chleo's whereabout to that white eagle.

Falcon, who had been trying to track down the energy seed from Max, couldn't calm down because he didn't know where to look for Chleo. And then, he got a map in his mind out of nowhere and saw Chleo on top of the Flex group company building in New York.

The white eagle roared in a thunderous voice, then its muscles and wings grew bigger. In just a few seconds, the eagle became a giant bird many times larger than the largest bird in the world.

In a single stroke, Falcon had shot up at high speed, creating a windstorm below. At the same time, Moni fell limply with slightly unfocused eyes.

"Dad, sister Chleo will be fine."

"Okay, I believe you. You can rest now."

Harmonie Calvin smiled gently before she fell asleep in her father's arms. Using all of her potential power prematurely was so dangerous to her body that now the little girl had a slight fever.
