Chleo and Max enjoyed a delicious breakfast while talking about what happened last night.

"I don't understand how I can be in New York for less than two hours. Unless there's someone else with teleport abilities like you, it doesn't make sense."

"Only I have the teleport ability, while other realm lords could only teleport within a single city distance."

"Is there any other beings beside you? Like a red wolf or something?"

Max stopped chewing his food for a moment, realizing there was another one who had teleport skills.

"There is, but not a red wolf. They were called Vectis. They could teleport wherever they want."

"Vectis? What's that? I've never heard about it.."

"Some non-human creature that lived in other realms."

"You mean aliens? Like in the movies?"

Max smiled, amused at the mention of 'alien' from Chleo's mouth. "Well, you could say so."

"Wow, I didn't think this earth would have aliens coming. But why do they want to kill me?"

"I'm confused as well. To the best of my knowledge, Vectis is not allowed to injure humans, which is why I still doubt whether your kidnapper is Vectis or something else."

"There is another being besides Vectis and the ruler of the realms?"

"There is. But they never appeared on this earth."

"What kind of creatures are they?"

"Who knows. I never met them." Max added jam to Chleo's bread while answering all of Chleo's questions. "Looks like you're not afraid anymore."

"Why would I be afraid if you were with me?" was her honey-like answer, which made a certain heart skip a beat. Chleo pursed her lips, asking for a kiss, causing Max to chuckle and grant the girl's request.

"I am very happy."

"Why?"

"Because you were acting spoiled at me."

"Was I not spoiled before?"

"Hmm..." Max shook his head. "You're a bit distant whenever we were on a date.

"Oh, that. Maybe I'm afraid you'll look down on me if I'm too clingy."

"And now?"

"Of course not. It seems like you won't be able to hate me. After all, how could anyone fall in love with a six-year-old child and still love her? I believe only you can do it."

Max couldn't hold back his laughter anymore and laughed out loud at that. He pinched Chleo's nose passionately and planted a kiss on her lips.

At first, Chleo was a bit clumsy when she welcomed his kisses, but she started to follow the man's rhythm the next second. They moved their heads to change positions so they could taste each other without realizing something had happened to Max.

'No matter what you do, MY HATRED towards you won't go away!'

Max immediately pushed Chleo's body while gasping for breath, making Chleo confused half to death.

"What is it?"

Max didn't answer as he clutched his aching head, then stood up to avoid Chleo.

"Max? Max?" Chleo kept calling Max's name, but the man didn't seem to be able to hear Chleo's call because now his mind was full of other voices.

'You know, I've never hated anyone before. You are the first person I hate in this world. Should we celebrate it?'

"Ugh!" Max groaned in pain, making Chleo even more panicked.

"Max, what's wrong with you?" tears started to flow out of Chleo's eyes while trying to ease Max's pain.

'You think giving me this unlimited card and these expensive gifts will move me? I'd never forgotten what you did to me!'

'You separated me from Alexis! You kept me away from my family! I HATE YOU FOR MY LIFE!!'

"Max, please talk to me. What happened to you? Do you have any medicine?"

The two voices are the same, but the pitch of the pronunciation was very contrast. One was spoken with hatred, while the other was filled with worry.

The image of the red-haired girl in his memory that had been hazy now began to appear clearly. Dark red hair, a pair of light brown eyes, and sweet little lips. He was fascinated and wanted to taste those full lips at first sight.

He remembered the first time he saw the girl was at a bar in Seattle.

Chleora Regnz.

The red-haired girl was none other than Chleo.

Maximillian remembered everything, including his actions that threatened Chleo and forced her away from her family.

He remembered there was not a single day that Chleo was unhappy once he brought her to England.

He… he had hurt Chleo in his previous life.

"Max, what happened to you?"

Only then did Max turn to Chleo, and his heart felt like it was stabbed by a sword when he saw the girl's tears. Was he the one who made her cry? He made the woman he loved cry again?

Maximillian reached out his hand to wipe Chleo's tears that were wetting her cheek.

"I'm sorry. I know I wasn't worthy of being forgiven, but I'm sorry."

Chleo also wiped her tears, knowing that her boyfriend didn't like to see her cry. "You idiot, why are you apologizing? I was worried about you."

'She'll remember everything when she turns twenty-one.'

That's right. The current Chleo didn't remember what he did. The Chleo in front of him loved him and worried about him.

He wondered, would Chleo still worry about him like this when she remembered everything?

Maximillian remained focused on his job, which was washing dirty dishes. He wasn't bothered by Chleo's probing glance at him. He pretended not to notice her stare and continued to clean the dirty dishes.

Chleo did help him, but her movements were slow because she was too busy watching her lover's expression. She still wiped the plate that had been dried from earlier.

Max awakened Chleo's thoughts while taking the plate when he finished the others.

"Do you want to go on a date with me?"

"Ah?"

"Where do you want to go? I will accompany you all day."

"But, you…"

"I'm fine. Don't worry," said Max firmly while caressing Chleo's cheek affectionately.

"I just want to go home. I don't want to go anywhere."

"Okay."

In a snap, the two of them were in Chleo's modest home in Seattle. Even though Chleo had experienced it as a child, she still didn't expect her body to be able to change places in a matter of seconds.

"You go rest now. You don't have to come to work today."

"Where are you going?" Chleo held Max's hand as soon as she realized Max was about to leave.

"I will investigate your kidnapping yesterday."

"Didn't you say you would accompany me all day?"

"But, don't you want to…."

"Do we have to go out so we can be together?" Chleo pulled Max's hand towards her room.

Then Chleo pushed Max's towering body with all her might, causing Max to fall on the bed. Max raised an eyebrow in surprise when he saw the girl's triumphant smile.
