Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Ashley panicked when she realized Chleo was still in the now out-of-shape jeep. Without thinking, Ashley leaped down and allowed herself to roll fast despite the small pebbles scratched on her body.

Ashley rose to her feet when her body was no longer rolling, and now she launched herself down following the location of the jeep that stopped at the lowest sand plain. Ashley coughed from the grit that had entered her nose and mouth, but she didn't care.

Her top priority was getting to the jeep and making sure Chleo was fine. Unknowingly tears started to trickle down her cheeks as he arrived at the lowest ground.

Ashley sprinted to the jeep, which was now emitting smoke. She went straight to the door where Chleo was. She opened the door with all her might, but it wouldn't open because of the significant damage.

Ashley peeked through the window to make assured Chleo was away from the windowpane. Then she took a nearby stone and broke the glass. She pulled the unconscious Chleo while making sure Chleo's body wasn't hit by the broken car window. She didn't care if she injured herself by shards and continued to lift Chleo as carefully as she could out of the car.

Ashley laid Chleo on top of the overturned car and sat next to her. She was crying while trying to wake Chleo up.

"Chleo, wake up. You can't die on me. You can't leave me here alone. Wake up!" Ashley shouted as she continued to shake Chleo to wake her up.

Chleo's forehead was bleeding, and there was torn skin around Chleo's neck, making Ashley cry louder.

"Chleo, wake up. Huwaaaaa…!!" Ashley was crying as she glanced around her, hoping someone could help her.

Realizing that there was no one in the middle of this desert and only the two of them made Ashley's hopes and courage shattered. She dropped her head on top of Chleo's body and wept there.

Ashley kept crying and crying until she didn't notice the wind around her was blowing hard. A roaring sound began to catch Ashley's attention. With a sob, Ashley lifted her face to see what was coming at her.

She rubbed her eyes repeatedly as she thought her eyes were tricking her because she saw a white tiger. Wait... that's a real-life tiger!

As if it wasn't scary enough, the tiger had a pair of wings!? Since when do tigers have wings? Moreover, the tiger was flying in mid-air and now landing on the sand plains, creating a strong wind that made Ashley reflexively protect Chleo's body by wrapping the girl's entire body with her own.

Ashley saw the tiger step forward towards her with a frightening air that made Ashley panic.

She glanced around for something she could use against the tiger. Unfortunately, she couldn't find anything, and when the tiger flapped its wings to fly towards her, Ashley became a statue, and her face was colorless.

Growl!! The tiger opened its jaws as if to pounce on her, making Ashley unable to hold back her fear any longer and falling unconscious at that very moment.

Just as the girl fainted, Harmonie appeared behind Bai Yu's wings and scolded her guardian beast.

"Bai Yu, I said to make her faint, but I didn't tell you to scare her to death."

"She is faint now, isn't she?" Bai Yu argued as it channeled its life energy towards the two unconscious girls.

The wounds on their bodies healed instantly, and their skin became smooth as if there were no wounds.

"What should we do now?" asked Bai Yu. "We can't leave them here, and it's impossible to bring them into our astral world."

"How about we take them back to America?"

"Are you a blue king? Just call the blue king over here!"

Harmonie just sighed resignedly to hear that. Did Bai Yu forget that she was only a ten-year-old child? How was she supposed to reach the blue king when she didn't have any means of communication?

She had to return to her father first, and then she would think of a way out with her father.

Chleo groaned dizzy when she first woke up from her stupor. She moved her hand, which was grabbed by something. Her round eyes widened instantly when she saw who was now holding her hand.

It was none other than Ashley Grey!

Ashley was sleeping in a sitting position next to her bed. Her head is placed on her folded hands. Only her right hand gripped Chleo's hand tightly as if afraid Chleo would leave her.

Chleo couldn't understand what was going on in Ashley Gray's mind? Why is this girl acting as if she is worried about her?

Cautiously, Chleo withdrew her hand that was holding Ashley without waking the girl. Then slowly, she moved out of bed and out of the room to observe this place.

This place was neither a house nor a hotel. But it was kind of like the huts in villages.

The walls were made of wood, while the roof consisted of piles of straw and leaves arranged conical upwards.

What exactly is this place?

Chleo decided to walk outside to look for clues. Never did she expect she would see someone she yearned for.

"Max?"

Max turned around and marched toward Chleo and took her into his arms.

Max is here? Did the man come to save her?

Her feelings that were previously still filled with anxiety and panic immediately disappeared like being swept away by a current of water as soon as she felt the cold temperature on the man's body.

Chleo's hands circled and wrapped around Max's towering torso while enjoying the man's embrace. She felt safe protected, and her heart was now at peace when she heard the sound of Max's regular heartbeat.

She missed this man after almost half a year of not seeing him in person.

Chleo would try to persuade her father to let her stay in England. She didn't want to be separated from Max again, and if Vectis didn't allow Max to remain in America, she would go to England.

After hugging for a long time, Max loosened his embrace while looking at Chleo lovingly.

"How are you feeling now?"

"Much better. But what is this place? I remember I fell off the cliff then…." Her words trailed off when she remembered that she was injured and got shards in her skin. Then how could the scar disappear as if it was never there?

"It's a very long story. But first, I want you to meet someone."

"Who?"

Max stepped aside to let the girl see what was waiting for them.
