Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Both Ashley and Chleo were confused by the gust of wind that was so strong that they closed their eyes. But the next second, the wind stopped drastically before the two could open their eyes.

But what they saw was completely unexpected. They saw white feathered wings covering them completely. They felt like they were in a cocoon or flower bud that had not yet bloomed.

Those white wings unmistakable were Bai Yu's wings.

Chleo and Ashley could still hear the noise from the windstorm that was still swirling outside, but they weren't affected because their bodies were shielded within Bai Yu's solid and sturdy wings.

The winged tiger was still protecting the two girls within its wings without knowing that the evil rogue Vectis summoned lightning and directly attacked Bai Yu's exposed weak spot, causing him to growl in pain.

Slash! Bzzt!

The sound of thunder that sprang up made Chleo and Ashley shudder in horror. They didn't know what happened, but when they saw the painful look on the tiger's face that seemed to endure pain, they believed someone was out there attacking their shield.

Someone indeed attacked Bai Yu while the tiger was occupied protecting the two human girls who would have been swept away by the hurricane had he not sheltered them with his wings.

Bai Yu and others had the suspicion that the real culprit was a Vectis, but he never expected this rogue Vectis was this desperate to kill Chleo. The Vectis didn't care if this bizarre lightning and hurricane phenomena would be known to the world.

There was some blood dripping from Bai Yu's rear, but the wounds were healed in seconds.

Seeing the yellow king's mystical beast wound heal in such a short amount of time made the evil Vectis confused. How could the wound heal in seconds? It would usually take a few minutes to heal completely.

Even though all the guardian beasts could heal themselves in a short time, the winged tiger couldn't regenerate his cell when struck by heavy damage in only a second.

Vectis decided to stop his wind torpedo as he would only waste his energy fighting this winged tiger. Somehow he felt that this guardian beast was different from the other two.

As soon as he felt the torpedo wind was gone, Bai Yu unfolded his wings and promptly told Chleo and Ashley to hide behind a large boulder.

Bai Yu quickly turned around, faced the Vectis, and flew to attack the evil creature at rapid speed.

Vectis deftly dodged his attack and unwittingly led Bai Yu away from where Chleo and Ashley were hiding. Bai Yu didn't mind being taken far away for fear that his attack would hit Chleo instead.

Unfortunately, unbeknownst to Bai Yu, Vectis deliberately kept him away from the two girls because he had sent a herd of human cannibals to chase the two unguarded girls.

Chleo and Ashley could only breathe a sigh of relief when they saw Bai Yu fighting the strange creature earlier when they heard a muffled sound from behind.

The two girls widened their eyes when they saw several human cannibals starting to appear from a distance. Hadn't they all left a while ago? Why are they showing up again so quickly?

Could it be that they purposely tricked Chleo and Ashley by hiding behind the dunes while some of them took their vehicles away to make them think they were safe?

"Chleo, what should we do?"

"What else can we do? Run!"

Simultaneously, the two of them ran to avoid the cannibals. They turned right but were ambushed by other black people. They turned around, circled the boulder, and ran straight as fast as they could until they came to a strange temple.

Without any suspicion or anything, the two of them dashed inside to hide without them knowing that the building they entered was not a temple. But it was the ancient royal palace, which was the only portal to the Vectis realm.

The cannibals purposely made the two girls run towards the building. Unbeknownst to Chleo, they had entered a trap set by the cannibals on the orders of the rogue Vectis.

Once confirmed that the two teenage girls had entered the ancient place, the human cannibals no longer chased and circled to return to their home. They accomplished their mission, and the rest was the task of the illusory mist that had been inhabiting the palace for a long time.

Chleo and Ashley didn't know what dangers they would face, and unknowingly the thick fog blocking their view would lead them to a portal and take Chleo to another world… a realm where the Vectis live.

Once Chleo entered their world, the rebellious Vectis leader would be able to take the girl's life without worrying that the rulers of the realms would interfere with them by protecting their human targets.

Chleo and Ashley joined hands so they wouldn't be separated in this thick fog. Suddenly their entire vision was filled with fog. They didn't know when this fog appeared or where it came from.

With cautious and slow steps for fear of tripping over something, the two walked to find a way out of this building.

"Chleo, is it just me, or is this place getting colder?" For some reason, Ashley felt herself shiver because of the abnormally cold temperature around her.

Chleo herself, who was resistant to cold temperatures, also felt chilled. "This place is indeed getting colder," she replied, barely able to hold back the chattering of her teeth.

"It's still summer season, right? It shouldn't be cold."

"Yes, it shouldn't. Shall we go back?"

"What if those ugly black people are waiting for us? We'll get caught, and who knows, we will be kept alive this time or not."

"At least we won't get lost. And don't you realize it? I think we lost them. They could be back to their home by now."

Finally, Ashley agreed, and the two turned back towards the direction they had entered. However, no matter how far they walked, this thick fog never faded, making them restless.

"Is this the right way?" Chleo whispered, making Ashley even more nervous.

"Didn't we just walk straight ahead?"

They both stopped and looked at each other in dismay. It seemed that they would never be able to get out of this place as long as this thick fog surrounded them.

On the other hand, Bai Yu was still fighting with Vectis in a long, unfair fight. Bai Yu was still in good health due to his quick healing without the slightest injury, while the Vectis he attacked was covered in wounds and seemed unable to move.

"I don't understand. You've lived in the human world for so long. Why do you still have pure drive?" Vectis finally gave in and wanted to satisfy his curiosity by asking questions.

"Grrrr!" Bai Yu only growled in response, having no intention of answering.

Of course, Bai Yu's stamina and strength were second to none. He might be even stronger than Alpha and Falcon because Bai Yu still has a pure energy source.

Bai Yu had never once stepped out of the yellow king's astral world so that his strength was not tainted by the negative aura of greedy humans or other evil spirits.

Unlike the Alpha, who was born in the human world, or the Falcon, who came to the human world more often, Bai Yu's energy source was much purer and more vigorous.

This was the second time he had come to the human world at Harmonie's request. If he stayed in this mortal realm for a long time, his energy source would be polluted over time, and it would take decades to purify it again in the astral world.

But he didn't mind. According to him, his sacrifice was worthy enough to help his master and the blue king. That was why he didn't mind being in this human world for a long time.

Even though his defeat was inevitable, Vectis still didn't give up and continued to attack Bai Yu with all his might. He purposely bought time so that this winged tiger wouldn't return to Chleo's position and prevented the girl from entering the portal.

The rogue Vectis preferred to use another human's hand to kill Chleo. If he had done it himself in this human world, Aslan would appear and exterminate him without giving him a trial.

That's why he decided to bring Chleo into his world. He could kill him any way he wanted without worrying that Aslan would wake up from his long slumber.

But… facing the Gale Master's guardian beast drained all of his energy. His cell regeneration slowed down, and he was starting to feel exhausted from Bai Yu's constant attacks. If this continued, he might die in this world.

Even so, the rogue Vectis continued to hold on. He could see for a bit of a while longer… the two female humans were about to pass through the circle of portals.

And it's true. Chleo and Ashley were getting closer by a shining light.. Thinking that the light was the way out, they quickened their pace towards the light, without knowing that path was their doom.
