Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chapter 209 - Ch. 209 The Hurricane

Ashley was the first to wake up from her shock. She quickly looked around them for a grip to hold on to, but she found nothing. There were no stones or handrails to use as a means of holding their bodies afloat on the ground.

The wind was blowing hard at them, almost making their feet lift off

the ground.

Ashley shook Chleo's shoulder to wake the girl from her thoughts because it seemed that Chleo was too shocked to face the enormous tornado.

"Chleo! We have to think of a way to get out of this place!"

A way out? Was there any way out against this disaster while they were on a dead-end? They had no hope, and they would surely die.

But Chleo forced herself not to give up.

Chleo stood up and looked around her. There were ravines around her, but there was also a lower cliff than their position.

"We have to jump over there!" Chleo shouted because the wind was

getting louder and louder until it almost drowned out her voice.

"Too far!" replied Ashley.

"We can use this wind to push us there. We have no other way!"

Ashley glanced back, now that the tornado was getting closer to

their distance, making it even more difficult for her legs to stay in place.

"Okay!"

They tried their best to walk against the hurricane to get to the edge

of the cliff so they could have enough running distance to make the great jump.

As soon as they felt they had enough and did not have much time before their bodies were sucked into the vortex of the tornado, the girls sprinted and jumped as high as they could to reach the cliff across.

Exactly what Chleo had expected, their bodies felt like they were pushed by an extraordinary force from behind, and in an instant, the cliffs of the lower plains were under their feet.

Their bodies still hadn't lowered and continued to float as if

there was no gravity between them. After being in midair for a few seconds that felt like hours, they finally fell violently, causing injuries to their bodies.

The two of them didn't have time to feel the pain in their wounds

as they focused on getting up and running away from the torpedo's wind. Their eyes darted around them for a solid place to hide without stopping running.

Unfortunately, there wasn't a single place they could take refuge

in. This place was filled with uneven rocks and no plants nor trees. This place was very arid, and there were no buildings or caves.

In the end, they could only run as fast as they could without

noticing the stinging pain from the rough landing and some small rocks scratched against their skin.

Alas, no matter how much they ran, they reached a dead end as they encountered another abyss.

Ashley and Chleo looked at each other, gasping for air, then both

looked back to see the tornado was still as strong and still chasing them.

They tried to avoid the hurricane's path, but why was it still following them as if the whirlwind had a mind of its own?

Chleo and Ashley felt helpless and could only stand there watching

the tornado rush towards them. They had no escape, nor did they have the power to dispel the storm.

The wind was blowing harder, indicating that the distance between

the hurricane and the two girls standing at the edge of the cliff was getting thinner. Their feet shifted more and more backward because of the massive gust of the wind.

Chleo and Ashley both used one hand to protect their eyes from the

strong wind. They didn't realize that a stranger had appeared behind them to grab them by the hand.

By the time they realized someone was behind them, it was too

late. The person grabbed their hands violently and then jumped into the abyss, causing them to scream hysterically.

"AAAAAAAAAAAA!!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAA!!"

***

For the first time since she was brought to another place along with Ashley, Chleo was the first to wake up.

Chleo frowned in confusion at how dark the room was, and only one

candle was lit to light the room.

What place is this? What happened? Are she and Ashley dead?

So many questions were running through Chleo's mind.

She was trying to remember what had happened, and the last thing Chleo remembered was when she and Ashley were dealing with a storm, and then… someone pulled them over and plunged them down a cliff!

Who is it? And where did that person come from?

Chleo sat down and squinted her eyes to inspect her surrounding. The walls seemed to be made of stones, and there was a

distinctive smell created from the pool of water in the rock pool. She also heard water droplets like water drops falling into a pond. The voice echoed without any silencer as if she was in… a cave?

Is this a cave?

The first place she was taken to was the desert, then the tiny

cabin where a group of cannibals locked her up. Now she woke up in a dark cave.

Chleo wouldn't be surprised anymore if the next place she woke up was in the middle of the forest.

Chleo massaged her temples as her head felt dizzy from all this.

At first, she lived normally and peacefully with her family. Why did her life suddenly change drastically like this?

It's all because Vectis is after her! Really! What did that alien-like creature want from her? Why did he insist on wanting to harm her?

"Miss Chleo, are you awake?"

Chleo straightened up as soon as she heard the unfamiliar voice.

She glanced around to find the speaker, but she couldn't see anything.

Suddenly there were hundreds if not thousands of candles flashing

around her, making this dark place bright. That's when she saw the figure of a beautiful creature from head to toe.

Its face was like a fairy in a fairy tale, the shape of its ears was

pointed like the ears of an elf, and the two different eyes were stunning. That person's hair was purple from above, but the tips of its hair were yellowish gold.

Chleo was mesmerized by the creature's beauty, not knowing the creature was one of the infamous Vectis.
