Just as Chleo fell off the cliff, a giant bird appeared out of nowhere and flew down towards the ravine where Chleo fell.

Ashley and the Vectis gasped in surprise, not at all expecting an enormous bird would come at that moment.

Ashley was frozen as if she had become a statue for a moment. Ashley came back to her senses when the same giant bird suddenly flew out of the depth and soared high into the sky.

Did the bird come here to save Chleo? Ashley couldn't help but pray that was the case.

Whoosh!

Suddenly a gust of fire blaze hit them all, causing Vectis, who was holding her, to loosen his vice grip.

"Ouch!" Because she was lifted relatively high and wasn't ready to land on the ground, Ashley fell with her butt hitting the ground hard.

"Hey, are you okay?"

As Ashley stroked her aching buttocks, a human outstretched hand appeared in her vision. The human-like hand wasn't that big… well, it was bigger than hers, but not as big as Vectis's, at least.

Out of curiosity, Ashley lifted her head and caught her breath as she stared into the pair of scary but outstanding red eyes.

Born as the only daughter of a Grey, Ashley often met influential figures and many successful business people. 

She likes to attend big events that invite those distinguished people.

Since childhood, her mother has inspired a dream for her. And her greatest goal was to become the wife of a person of the highest position where no one would dare underestimate or oppress her.

As for looks, she would think about it later. What was important was his wealth and position in the social circle.

If she got a husband like Max, who has both the good looks and the position of the number one shipping industry owner in the world, then her life would be perfect.

But she was no longer after Max and had removed the man's name from her husband's nomination list. Ashley didn't desire to compete with Chleo, let alone steal her best friend's possessions.

It would be a lie if she said she had no interest in Max.

It made her realize, love was not all about money and high status. One would be happy if he loved his spouse for who she is and vice versa.

Would she find someone like that someday? Could she love someone for he is, and could that someone love her for who she is?

Knowing her past deeds and not a few who bad-mouthing her behind her back, she doubted she would find one.

But Ashley felt her world stop rotating the moment her eyes met a pair of bloody red eyes.

Ashley instantly knew that this person wasn't Vectis but a human, just like her. She also knew right away that this person was an Asian boy, judging by the shape of his face.

But she couldn't help but wonder, do Asians like to dye their hair a flashy red like this guy?

Ah, the hell with the hair color! Ashley couldn't even think or get her sights off the young man's red eyes as if there was a magnet that drew her to look at this Asian guy.

Little did know, she was bewitched by the Flame King's inevitable charm.

On the other hand, Chu Jung was confused because his outstretched hand was not returned by the beautiful ash-brown-haired girl in front of him. Was his appearance so terrifying that it made the girl freeze?

Well, he was used to receiving this kind of treatment. The average person who sees his red hair and eyes would be afraid and avoid him at all cost.

If not for Max taught him to control his wild flame monster, he couldn't normally live like any teenage boy. He could change his eyes' colors, but now he needed to use his power to the maximum, so his eyes would continue to be bloody red until he no longer used his power.

Chu Jung felt sure that the girl in front of him must be afraid of him.

He didn't know the girl inside his arms screamed in shock and despair due to his reckless action.
