"Push me down." Chu Jung ordered without diverting his attention from the swarm of roots wriggling to dodge his flames.

"Are you sure?"

"Of course. This will be a lot of fun."

Vectis gulped nervously when he saw the dangerous gleam of a pair of sparkling red eyes.

Vectis created a vortex of wind in his palm then struck it against Chu Jung's back, causing the red king's body to slide downwards at high speed like a cannon fired from the control center.

In just a matter of seconds, Chu Jung arrived at the bottom of the abyss where hundreds if not thousands of roots were wriggling there. Without wasting time as the red king could never be patient with his opponent, Chu Jung burned those roots with great violence.

Then…

BOOM!!

The enormous explosion Chu Jung made sounded so loud that it reached the ears of the yellow king.

Harmonie was surprised by the sound of explosions and thick black smoke rising from the abyss.

It wasn't long before Bai Yu appeared with Ashley sitting on his back, making Harmonie sigh in relief.

Luckily the red king managed to save Ashley in time. But why didn't the red king and Vectis go out with Bai Yu?

What was Chu Jung doing down there?

Harmonie decided not to think about it. Right now, he wanted to make sure her sister's friend was okay.

Ashley got off Bai Yu's back, but she was still in fear and trauma from what had just happened, her legs shaking and unable to support her body.

Harmonie was ready and helped Ashley support her body by draping one of Ashley's arms behind her neck.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

Ashley wanted to answer her question, but she couldn't find her voice as it had become dry from long-term screaming. In the end, Ashley shook her head to answer the yellow king's question.

Harmonie understood that Ashley was scared right now, so she guided the girl so she could sit comfortably leaning against Alpha's frame.

Ashley's face was still pale, and her hands were trembling on her lap, and it made Harmonie sympathize with her.

Harmonie was about to sit next to her to comfort the girls, but Alpha was already ahead.

The red wolf licked the girl's cheek playfully. Then he rubbed his head against Ashley's face, earning an amused giggle from the girl. It seemed Ashley was less afraid now, thanks to the red wolf.

Knowing Ashley would be fine with Alpha, Harmonie walked over to Bai Yu to demand an explanation.

"Bai Yu, what's going on down there?"

Bai Yu told her everything he saw without skipping the detail. Harmonie frowned when she heard that it wasn't Chu Jung who had deliberately dropped Ashley but that four roots were the real culprit.

"What are those roots?"

"Vectis said they are Vectis-eating plants. Among the wandering groups in this place, they would only choose to capture the weakest one. Even Vectis wouldn't be able to break free once the root-bound him."

What bullshit! Thought Harmonie.

Vectis was a mystical being who could control the five elements. She couldn't believe the Vectis would be eaten effortlessly by these Vectis-eating plants.

Little did she know, these rooted plants always tie the central's force of Vectis. Those were the wrists and ankles.

That was why no Vectis would be able to escape once both his hands and feet were tightly wrapped around the roots.

It was different from the rulers of nature. The source of their strength was not only centered on his two hands, but he was able to channel all his energy to all the nerve points of his body muscles.

Even though his hands and feet were currently bound by several roots that managed to survive Chu Jung's fire attack, the red king could still use his fire to burn all these plants.

Instantly the fire monster re-entered his body, and the dark red color of his eyes was brighter and not as dark as a few minutes ago. Chu Jung clapped his hands a few times to brush the dust off his hands in a relaxed manner.

Vectis gaped at Chu Jung's child-like behavior. The young man looked like he had been playing in the sand on the beach, when in fact, he had just destroyed the plant that Vectis feared the most in this world.

"I'm done playing. Do you mind taking me out of here?"

What? The wrathful, raging flame that exterminated all of these Vectis-eater plants was only called playing?? What is this guy?

In the meantime, Harmonie and Ashley were still waiting for the Vectis and Chu Jung's return.

Ashley had calmed down, and her face wasn't too pale. Even so, she couldn't shake off her worry for the young man who had saved her.

After learning that something had pulled her down, she felt guilty for blindly blaming the young man.

She did feel a firm tug on her legs and arms, but she didn't expect a living plant to pull her downward.

So the only possibility that made a lot of sense at that time was Chu Jung deliberately loosening his hold and dropping her just like that.

Ashley exhaled a heavy sigh.

Not only did she just blindly accuse him in her heart, but she owed the young man her life again. Will she be able to repay this debt of gratitude?

The sudden thought of Harmonie's proposal made her face feel feverish. Does she need to do it? After all, that man had saved her twice.

Ashley shook her head vigorously to push away all of Harmonie's words that were trying to poison her not so innocent mind.

There must be other ways she could express her gratitude besides that one. Right. Ashley just needed to find another way.

Ashley's mind was still thinking about finding a way to thank Chu Jung when Chu Jung and Vectis submerged from the hole.

"What took you so long time? What are you doing down there?"

Chu Jung lifted his shoulders up and then lowered them nonchalantly. "I cleared the pests that interfered with our journey."

Pest? Do you mean the Vectis-eating plant?

Chu Jung walked over to Ashley then crouched down to look straight into Ashley's eyes.

Ashley, who felt her body temperature had increased, now felt more heated as soon as her eyes rested on the pair of red eyes.

"Are you hurt?"

Ashley still couldn't find her voice, so she shook her head quickly.

"What about your hand? Still painful?"

Ashley's breath caught when Chu Jung clasped one hand without warning. The young man not only grasped but brushed his thumb against her soft milky skin.

The young man's actions that seemed extraordinarily relaxed, as if what he was doing was the most natural thing in this world, made Ashley's heart pound wildly.

She had no idea what Chu Jung was currently doing was healing the red mark on her wrists, and her mind was filled with one big question.

Why did this guy hold her hand?

"Red King, you better stay away from her. You're suffocating her. Can't you see she has stopped breathing?" stated Harmonie with a mischievous tone that made Chu Jung's brows furrow.

Did he make the beautiful older girl in front of him feel claustrophobic? Why? Is he too scary?

He had tightly stored his fire monster aura within his body before he approached the girl. He even tried his best to hide the terrifying aura from his bloodshot eyes.

But it seemed that there was still a sinister effect left on him because he just lost control while exterminating all the Vectis-eating plants just now.

"You think I'm scary?" strangely, Chu Jung didn't ask Ashley but instead asked Alpha.
