It had been days since Chleo had returned home after having a one-on-one conversation with Max. Their relationship was going well, and without realizing it, the day of Alexis' arrival had arrived. Chleo had to prepare to come to pick up the young man mentally.

That day, Chleo was getting ready to change clothes at the airport. She had also put in the box containing the camellia necklace the young man had given her last year.

Chleo planned to meet the young man and give the answer to Alexis. She had finished organizing her feelings and decided to be with Maximillian.

She wasn't entirely sure if she could live peacefully with him because the feeling of condescension for everything she had done in the past haunted her every night.

But she was sure that her other self would help her out.

That's why she wanted to meet Alexis and end the ambiguous relationship. She had to throw away her feelings towards the young man in the past.

If she wanted to live happily in this world, she had to make a firm and unwavering decision, and that is, she wanted to start over with her husband.

Since their talk in Max's astral world, Max had never had another intimate approach. Max did approach her, and Chleo accepted him in each advance.

But the man never once kissed her or hugged her again. In the middle of their date, the intimate activity was just holding hands or putting his arm around her shoulders.

Chleo remembered that Max always took the opportunity and didn't hesitate to hug or kiss her before her memories returned. Even just kissing her forehead when he was driving her home from their date, he didn't do it!

This really confused Chleo.

Why did she feel Max was building an invisible gulf between them?

Chleo looked at her desk clock and took her coat to leave for the airport.

"Sis, are you going on a date again?" Diego greeted her as the boy saw her coming down from the second floor fully clothed and overcoated.

"No. I have an appointment with a friend."

"Oh. I'll call the driver…."

"No need." Cut Chleo quickly. She didn't want her family to know that she was going to the airport to meet Alexis.

Chleo didn't know when her parents had favored Maximillian over Alexis. Somehow all the residents of this house persuaded her to make up with Max.

That's why she didn't want to tell her family about Alexis' arrival. She purposely didn't tell Max because she didn't want him to misunderstand and keep her distance from her even more.

'You should have told Max and explained it.'

A small voice advised her, but she ignored it.

She wasn't sure that Max would allow her to meet Alexis, while she wanted to quickly give the man a definite refusal so that Alexis wouldn't keep his hopes upon her.

Neither did Chleo wish to quarrel with Max because she knew she would debate and rebel once Max forbade her to see Alexis. If they continued, they would end up in a fight.

That's why Chleo preferred not to tell the man and went to the airport secretly.

When she arrived at the airport, Chleo stood in the arrivals area, waiting quietly for Alexis to appear. A few moments later, Alexis was out of the gate along with the other passengers.

Alexis smiled widely when he saw Chleo was waiting for him and waving at him. His steps were quick, but his smile faded as he noticed something was different about Chleo.

He looked for traces of the necklace the girl was wearing, but he couldn't see it. Chleo deliberately wore a turtle-neck shirt so that the top of the shirt covered her entire neck.

"Hey Alex, long time no see," greeted Chleo in a cheerful tone while giving a warm hug to her friend.

Her hug was more like a friend than a lover.

Alexis smiled as he returned the hug. "You're right. It's been a long time. Something unexpected happened at home, so I couldn't come back here as I expected."

"Did something bad happen?" there was a worried tone in Chleo's voice as she asked.

"It's not that bad. I have a little brother, apparently."

"W… What? I thought you were an only child?" Chleo exclaimed in disbelief at the young man's expression.

"That was what I thought. But it seemed that my father had another son without my knowledge."

"Ah," Chleo didn't know how to react. Should she sympathize with his father playing with women outside the house, or should she be happy that Alexis had a sibling?

Chleo didn't even know whether the young man was happy or not when he found out he had a brother.

"Are you okay?" Chleo asked then as she walked towards the taxi stand.

"Confused and also quite chaotic. But now I'm fine."

"Did you meet your brother?"

"I did. He was very young, and he hasn't even graduated high school yet, and above of all, he…."

Chleo remained silent because she didn't want to demand that the young man tell her. She was very curious about the mysterious little brother of Alexis, but she didn't want to be someone who stalked other people's private lives.

"He got my father's look. I don't know if I should be happy or sad," replied Alexis gloomily. "Chleo, how does it feel to have a brother? You have a lot of siblings, right?"

Chleo blinked a few times, somewhat surprised at this question.

"I feel… I'm not alone when my parents don't care about me."

"What do you mean your parents don't care about you? They pamper you a lot." continued Alexis in a humorous tone as if what he had just heard was funny.

Chleo smiled, too, realizing that Alexis had no recollection of what their previous life was like.

Chleo tried to explore her feelings in this life. She remembered spending time with her extended family, uncles, and aunts, as well as her younger cousins.

"Sometimes playing with adults is boring. My heart feels freer when I play with people my age. There are no rules, no limits, and also… we can prank adults without fear of being punished." Chleo continued in a mischievous tone, like when she was plotting an idea to prank her father.

Alexis laughed at that, and the two of them continued to chat happily as if they were friends who had not seen each other for a long time.
