Chleo couldn't help but feel excited as soon as she got in the car with Max after serving the guests for more than three hours.

Even though there were problems in the middle of the event because one of the guests suddenly fell ill, the event went smoothly.

Max never left her side for a second, so hardly any young man dared to hover over her.

Max was filled with such high and domineering authority and gave off a cold aura as soon as another young man glanced at Chleo.

Max took Chleo's hand and lifted it to kiss the back of her hand.

Chleo smiled happily at the kiss on her hand, and her heart melted so that she no longer demanded an answer.

"I can't believe you managed to get my father's permission to take me away. How did you do it?"

Max smiled amusedly. "I have my own way."

"You're not going to tell me either?"

"You can ask your father later."

"Ah, you're getting more and more annoying by the day."

Max laughed out loud at his lover's suggestion. He brought Chleo's hand to his face to feel her soft skin on his cheek.

Not long after, they arrived at Max's penthouse, and together the two went up to the top floor hand in hand.

"Thought we were going somewhere? Why are we here?"

"Did you forget that your lover could teleport? We'll be teleporting at the penthouse, so no one gets suspicious."

"Ah, I see." came the chuckle from the girl.

"But… it seems you are already sleepy." Max guessed as he noticed the exhausted eyes on Chleo's face.

"No. I'm not sleepy at all." Chleo denied it quickly because she wanted to know their real destination as soon as possible.

Max shook his head, making Chleo suspect that the man would change his mind. "We should sleep first, and then we can go."

"But…"

"Please mind my words." cut in Max while pinching Chleo's chin with both fingers and wiggling it passionately.

"Alright," Chleo answered limply, then walked to the bathroom to remove the makeup from her face.

After that, she took a nightgown from her bag. Before this, she had indeed brought some extra clothes because Max managed to get permission from Vincent to take her somewhere for a few days.

Chleo was excited and looking forward to this day because she could be alone with Max for two whole days, and maybe… they could do it all the way.

Ah, it made her adrenaline rise, and now her eyelids were no longer sleepy.

He just kissed her, pecked her forehead or cheek without doing further.

"Max, are you avoiding me again?"

Max's eyebrows shot up hearing this, "What do you mean I'm avoiding you? Are we not close enough yet?" Max tightened his arms, making Chleo's body pull towards him, causing a rapid pounding in Chleo's heart.
