Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chapter 288 - Ch. 288 The Blooming Seed

On the other hand, Max had been waiting for a mark on his ring finger for a long time. Since the beginning of their relationship, Max has given a small part of his energy to Chleo's ring finger.

This energy is a seed of love between them.

The result was not visible at that time, considering they were still in the early stages of bonding. Max no longer cared about the proof when Chleo's previous life's memory returned and their relationship drifted apart.

He thought the seed never grew because it never appeared on Chleo's ring finger when she was with him. Max assumed the seed was dead long ago and would never show a result.

But two days ago, when the two of them were walking back to the yacht from their diving fun, Max realized there was a bizarre line that had never been in Chleo's ring finger.

He immediately recognized the energy and realized that the part of the energy he had thought was dead had bloomed.

Those beautiful fine lines wouldn't have appeared if Max weren't with her or holding Chleo's hand.

Max wanted to show it to Chleo, so he brought back the line circled Chleo's ring finger by kissing the girl's finger.

Chleo saw a bluish light shining on the place where Max kissed her hand. Chleo pulled back her hand out of curiosity to see what happened to her finger.

Max let go of Chleo's hand while investigating the expression on the girl's tiny face.

Chleo widened her eyes when she saw the unusual thing in her hand.

She saw a ring placed beautifully on her ring finger. The ring was silver with a sapphire orb on it. The sapphire glowed so beautifully it made Chleo's heart feel like it was flying into the sky.

Not only that, the ring around her finger was not shaped like any ordinary ring. But the line formed a motif such as small flowers as the circle of the ring.

Since when did she wear this ring? Since when did Max put it on her finger?

She was sure the man hadn't put any ring on her finger at all, then how could there be a ring on her finger?

"I… This? How could you…? It's beautiful." Chleo didn't know what to say and decided to enjoy the sweet moment.

"Chleo, I know you're still young right now, but I don't want to waste time and wait any longer. I've been waiting for you for as long as I can remember. When I met you for the first time, I was attracted to you. When I lost our previous life's memories, my heart yearned for you. And right now, my mind, my heart, and my whole soul are only focused on you, and I don't want to lose my sight of you for any second."

Max knelt on one knee without taking his eyes off Chleo's brown eyes, who was looking at him with emotion and love.

Chleo could feel her heart beating rapidly as if her adrenaline was rising as if she was facing something scary or threatening. Well, her current situation wasn't something endangering her life, but it was threatening for her poor heart.

Chleo could almost even hear her own heartbeat if it weren't for the dolphins that were singing merrily as they swam circling them.

Chleo's breath hitched as Max reached into his trouser pocket and pulled out a dark blue square box.

Max opened the box to reveal a white gold ring with a large heart-shaped diamond in the center.

"Chleora Marcelyn Regnz, will you marry me?"

Chleo covered her mouth with one hand while her brown eyes moistened, unable to contain her emotion.

Chleo was too shocked because she didn't expect her lover to propose to her tonight that she couldn't find her voice.

She nodded her head repeatedly quickly while trying to answer his proposal.

"Yes." Chleo finally found her voice, even though it sounded hoarse and weak. "Thousand times, yes."

Max smiled broadly, then put the ring on the ring finger of Chleo's left hand. Then he rose to his feet to hug Chleo's waist and smooched the girl's supple lips that had become his addiction since the first time he tasted it.

They kissed as if there was no tomorrow while the dolphins were still dancing and singing.

When Chleo was almost out of breath, Max ended their kissing and pressed their foreheads together.

Chleo took this opportunity to look at her rings. She thought there would be two rings there, but it turned out that there was only one ring which was a diamond stone ring given by Max on her left hand.

Where's the silver ring with the dishy sapphire orb?

Chleo was not someone who liked to spend money on jewelry, but she didn't deny her extraordinary attachment to those sparkle, beautiful things. Therefore, she preferred to design and make her own jewelry rather than wasting a fortune on others' designs.

But after seeing an exquisite ring with a captivating ring motive, Chleo immediately fell in love at first sight.

"Max, haven't I worn a ring with a floral print before?" Chleo pulled her right hand from behind Max's neck to show him. "Look, there's only the ring you gave me in my hand."

Max smiled as he stroked the girl's nose with his own. "You liked the previous ring better?"

"Of course not. I love all your gifts."

"Since when is your mouth this sweet?" Max kissed Chleo's lips briefly, making Chleo blush. "Hmm. It turned out to be sweeter."

Chleo giggled when Max was about to kiss her again, but she tried to avoid him because she didn't want to get caught up in that man's diversion.

"Max, stop diverting the conversation. What did you do? I'm pretty sure I don't have a floral ring, and you never put it on me. And I also believe I saw a bluish light, and don't try to trick me."

Max laughed, knowing his wife-to-be was no longer easily distracted. Well, what choice does he have now?
