Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chapter 62 - Ch. 62 The Scariest Girl In The Universe

"Diego, is that true? Did you run away from home? Mom and dad don't know you're here?" it was hard to believe it, but the fact that Diego was in town and sitting with her eating ice cream instead of coming to school… proved that this boy had run away from home.

"Eh? I was just fooling around. So  I guessed correct!? Good grief! This will be great news! Diego Regnz ran away from home exactly a month before his sixteenth birthday!"

"Evie!"

"What?" Evie grumbled, annoyed that Chleo was too biased towards her brother. "What I said is true, right? He ran away from home."

"I'm not running away!" Diego argued that he could not stand his cousin's attack on this one. He found himself couldn't relent nor be polite toward the cousin on his age or older than him. When it comes to younger cousins, Diego could often relent and be patient.

That's why he also could never get along with Theo, who was two years above him. He often argued and exaggerated small matters when he met Theo.

Everyone felt like Theo and Diego were competing to be the best role model for their cousins , who were much younger than them.

"Huh! What is it called if not running away?" refuted Evie in a challenging tone.

"I'm just hiding for a while," Diego answered in a half-whisper. Even so, Evie and Chleo could still hear it clearly because they happened to be less crowded around them.

Evie just rolled her eyes lazily at his answer.

Excuse me, sir! Is there a difference between running away and hiding?

"Diego, tell me slowly. What really happened?"

Diego was shoveling a spoonful of ice cream into his mouth while looking at his brother with a pleading look. But his sister wouldn't let him go and still waiting for his explanation.

Having no other choice, Diego began to tell what happened during the last few days.

(Flashback)

That morning Diego's class was crowded with the hottest news. They heard their class would have a new student coming from Japan.

Some said that their potential new friend was the only daughter of the most feared yakuza in the cherry blossoms country. Some said their new friend was the daughter of an advertising company currently opening a new branch in New York.

What made the lads most curious was the young girl's face. Some said the new girl was as beautiful as a doll. Her eyes were a bit slanted but have round eyes like dolly eyes. Her hair was jet black with cute front bangs.

But there were also those who said that the girl was hideous. She was so ugly, and her long hair was left hanging down to cover part of her face.

They even said the girl had an ugly scar on her face which, of course, was only a nasty rumor.

For Diego, the conflicting talks were interesting enough, but he wasn't too curious about the face of the yakuza princess girl. According to him, nothing in this world could match the beauty of his sister, who is like an angel descended to earth.

Right. Only Chleo was the most beautiful, and the other girls were the same in his eyes. Even so, Diego had always been friendly to every girl he met. He was never rude to girls, thanks to Vincent and Kinsey's upbringing.

What about his treatment of Evie, who is also a woman? This particular cousin was an exception. For Diego, Evie was not a normal girl because of her tomboy attitude.

"Good Morning, kids." greeted Miss Bright as soon as she entered Diego's class. "From today, we will have a new friend. Please come in."

As soon as Miss Bright spoke her last sentence, a girl appeared through the front door of their classroom.

The girl wore a pink sweater combined with fashionable jeans.

The girl had jet black hair, just like the rumors. It's just that her hair was not loose as they think, but she styled it with a simple bun tied at the top of her head. The girl also had front bangs that cover her forehead, adding to her cuteness.

As the rumors said, the girl's eyeballs were round, and when she smiled, her eyes seemed to shape in a crescent moon. Her cheeks were slightly red, while her skin was pure white. Her tiny lips look very attractive with natural pink color.

In an instant, all the male students in Diego's class were mesmerized by the girl's beauty. Some of the girls were also fascinated, but most felt jealous and instantly disliked this new girl.

The beauty of this Japanese-blooded girl cannot be said to be the prettiest. But they rarely see Asian faces let alone have Japanese friends. Because of that, they were all very enthusiastic and thought the beauty of the new girl was unique. You could say this new student was a new toy for students in high school.

"Well, let's hear the name first," said Miss Bright calming her students who were bustling since the appearance of their new friend.

"Hi everybody. My name is Yuna Miyazaki. Nice to meet you all."

Since Yuna had been educated and raised in Japan, Yuna bowed as she ended her introduction. Her innocent expression and cute demeanor made the hearts of the students melt... except for Diego.

For some reason, Diego's instincts told him this girl wasn't as innocent as she looked. Usually, his instincts hit the highest note.

In the end, Diego ignored his instincts because he saw it with his own eyes all day. The girl was innocent, pure, and also very adorable. There was nothing suspicious about the girl's behavior.

Everyone quickly assumed that the rumor that Yuna was the daughter of a yakuza was just a rumor. Judging by their new friend's innocent attitude, there was no way that the girl was a child who was surrounded by violence. They believe that Yuna was the daughter of a businessman who would work together in a big company in the advertising sector.

When he came home from school, Diego accidentally saw Yuna being surrounded by their seniors. It seemed that the seniors wanted to get acquainted with the new girl. Diego could see Yuna felt uncomfortable and rejected their approach. Alas, her refusal was not well received, and the seniors became harsh and forceful.

Diego felt sorry and was about to help the girl when he saw something unexpected.

About ten seniors were surrounding her, but the girl expertly beat them all up one by one. She started kicking and punching the impudent person embracing her shoulder intimately and the person who just stood in front of her.

"Ugh! FUCKING BITCH!" one of the seniors did not accept and thought his opponent was just an ordinary little girl; he paid her back and was about to hit Yuna in the face.

This infuriated Diego, and he actually took action. Since childhood, he has been taught not to be rude to girls. Let alone punching a weakling girl, of course, Diego could not just let it go.

And yet, when he was about to go forward, his steps stopped because he was shocked by what he saw... for the second time.

Not only did Yuna manage to dodge his senior's fist, but Yuna also managed to squeeze the young man's right hand to his back, causing the senior to wince in pain.

The little girl was even able to knock down one of the seniors by kicking the heels of the senior's feet.

Where did the strength in that tiny body come from? Diego felt like he was watching a strong superhero woman movie! Is she the Wonder Woman's daughter??

"I didn't expect the teenagers here to be so weak. Is this what you're capable of?" Yuna sneered in a sarcastic tone, leaving Diego at a loss for words.

This… is Yuna Miyazaki? A girl who looks weak, innocent, pure, and cute? Why was it so different from what he saw?

At this time, the girl was showing a fierce expression with a mocking and disdainful look. Not only that. Her previously innocent and bewildered expression now turned into a ghastly expression as if the girl was a newly awakened lioness.

So the rumor that Yuna was the only daughter of the most feared yakuza in Japan... is true?

Without realizing it, Diego stepped backward. Even though he wants to be a fearless leader like Uncle Darrel, he still preferred to avoid the Japanese mafia.

After all... the yakuza were famous for their harsh tongue and sadistic ways of killing.

Diego was about to turn and run away before the Japanese girl noticed his presence. Unfortunately for him, because now Yuna glanced at him, making Diego freeze as if something were binding his legs.

The girl's eyes didn't seem to like anyone secretly watching her situation. Her eyes shone like an eagle descending to prey on a rat that was trying to escape.

Diego felt like he wanted to cry.

Mama... I met the scariest person in the universe.
