Evangeline Bernz was the only daughter of Benjamin Paxton and Felicia Bernz. Benjamin no longer used the name Paxton and chose to use his mother's maiden name. Nevertheless, Evangeline followed the Bernz surname more, and Benjamin didn't mind at all.

After all, the Bernz family name was more influential and well-known than the Benjamin's. That way, people would think twice if they wanted to mess with Evie.

That's why, even though the female students who were jealous of Chleo wanted to bully her, they wouldn't dare because there was always Evie accompanying Chleo.

They couldn't understand how Evangeline Bernz could be willing to be friends with Chleo West? Of course, they wouldn't have thought that Chleo was the eldest daughter of Vincentius Regnz as well as Evangeline Bernz's cousin.

Was it cousin? Or niece?

Hierarchically, Vincent and Benjamin were cousins. Automatically their two children were also cousins. The problem was, Catherine was Benjamin's niece, which meant that Cathy's two children were Benjamin's grandnieces and nephews.

According to Cathy's position, it was no wonder that Chleo and Diego had to call Evie their aunt. But... who wants to be called aunt with someone the same age or only a few years younger. Not Evie, obviously.

"I still can't believe he's your brother," Evie grumbled.

"He's your brother too," said Chleo wittily.

"No. I don't have a brother who calls me aunty."

"You're so right. I'm your nephew." this time, it was Diego who answered with a mischievous wink.

Evie grabbed Diego's ice cream bowl and ate its contents, ignoring Diego's disbelieving stares.

"Are you a kid? Why snatch my ice cream?"

"Who said this was your ice cream? I'm the one who bought it. Bleh." refuted Evie nonchalantly while sticking out her tongue, mocking the boy.

Chleo took another deep breath then handed Diego her bowl of ice cream.

"Sis Chleo is the best!" Diego exclaimed with a happy face making Evie snort in annoyance.

Chleo has always been like this. If there were a food that Diego likes, she would often relent and give her portion to Diego.

Well, Chleo used to hide Diego's toys more often to tease him. She loves to frustrate her baby brother and made him cry, but regrets later that Diego didn't want to play with her anymore.

As time goes by, Chleo's mischief and prankishness diminish. She preferred to play with her brother than received her brother's tantrums and crankiness.

In the end, she was able to act mature and often succumbed to her brother. Maybe because Chleo realized the number of siblings increased through her uncles and aunts, Chleo's maternal instincts began to grow and improve.

"Chleo, don't you think you dote on your brother too much?"

"Hey! What's wrong with my sister spoiling me? Just say you're jealous."

"Hmph! I'm really jealous. I envy how you can have a father who wants you to be his successor. It's good to be the successor to the owner of the Flex group." quipped Evie.

No one in this world doesn't knows that Diego doesn't want to continue his father's business. But as a dutiful son and very fond of his parents, Diego was willing to give up his dreams and began to learn little by little about his father's company.

"Sis Chleo, should we eat together with this crazy woman?"

"Hey, what is that supposed to mean?" asked Evie in a challenging tone.

"Oh, are you talking to me?"

"You impolite child!"

"Diego." this time, Chleo called her brother firmly while giving Diego a warning look that could silence the boy.

In this world, there were only three people that Diego dared not refute. His parents and also his sister. Apart from these three people, Diego would fight back if he thought he was right.

"You too," this time, Chleo pointed at Evie. "Don't keep provoking him. You are not a child anymore. What will people say when they knew the only daughter of the Bernz family oppresses a minor?"

"He's not a minor; he's..." Evie swallowed her words back when she saw the sharp warning look in Chleo's eyes.

Evie and Diego shuddered at the sharp glint in her eyes. Chleo was exactly like her mother. Whenever Chleo was angry, her expression was so terrifying that anyone who saw her dared not cross.

"By the way, Diego, what are you doing here?" Chleo just remembered this vital thing because she was too happy to meet her brother after three months of not seeing him.

Shouldn't the boy be at school? The holiday season isn't here yet, but why is Diego here? "How is your school? Isn't there a final exam soon?"

Hearing his sister's interrogation, Diego ate his ice cream in silence while lowering his head. Even he felt cold sweat starting to appear behind his back despite the cold weather around them.

"Di.e.go." called Chleo in a dignified tone as she folded her arms in front of her chest.

Her sharp eyes seemed to penetrate someone's mind, making Diego unable to lie.

"What? Did you run away from home?" guessed Evie, who somehow sounded enthusiastic.

Oh my gosh! The mama's boy who never rebelled for once, for the first time, rebelled and ran away from home!

At first, Chleo didn't take Evie's provocation seriously, which again provoked Diego. For as long as Chleo could remember, Diego was much more obedient than she was. Diego never once rebelled or tricked the guards assigned to him. In contrast to Chleo, who still sometimes argued and deceived his guards.

That's why she couldn't believe that Diego was in this city because he was running away from home. But seeing Diego, who didn't dare to look at her, Chleo became suspicious.
