Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chapter 60 - Ch. 60 Diego's Arrival

As for the other lads, let alone college friends, had already resigned because Evie was always with Chleo wherever Chleo goes. In other words, Evie took the place of Vincent and Diego in keeping the insignificant bugs out of Chleo's life.

Just like Vincent and Diego, Evie would protect Chleo from the cunning luring of the assholes who approach her.

"Don't worry. You won't be in the limelight. Dex said he came here with his friend. It looks like his friend will start living here."

"So you don't want to feel left out because Dex will be more focused on his friend?"

Evie smiled widely in response to Chleo's exact guess. "You are the best."

Chleo just sighed in resignation. Chleo had met Dietrich several times. He knew that man adored Evie and vice versa. It's just that, for some reason... whenever someone was between the two of them, Dex would turn his attention to that person instead of Evie.

That's why Evie didn't want her lover to focus more on his friend than her. They only meet twice a year, and maintaining a long-distance relationship was already a miracle.

No wonder Evie had the heart to bring Chleo so that she could become a friend to talk to her lover's friends later. Dietrich would focus less on his friend and pay more attention to Evie.

What a great plan!

The two were still conversing when they heard whispers of gossip from the girls passing by.

"Who is that?"

"Who knows. I never saw it."

"Good grief! He's so handsome! Who do you think he came to see?"

"You think he is American? He doesn't look like someone here."

Hearing the rumors of the girls made Evie very curious. She pulled Chleo over so they could see who it was. Was it President? Or A celebrity?

Who was able to catch all girls' attention on this broad of light?

Seeing the mastermind behind the attentions of the female students made Chleo's chocolate-like eyes widen.

The young man was standing in front of the campus wearing fashionable casual clothes. His hair looks disheveled but at the same time adds to the level of his handsomeness. The young man's hair was the color of honey and would look like dark gold when exposed to the sun.

Unfortunately, no one could see what his eyes looked like because the young man was wearing sunglasses. Although not seeing his face thoroughly, all the students at Seattle University felt sure that this young man was handsome.

The young man turned to Chleo naturally and immediately gave a happy smile when he saw Chleo. Without caring about the surroundings, the young man took off his sunglasses and waved at Chleo.

In an instant, all the female students looked at Chleo with scornful looks. At first, they were fascinated and immediately fell in love as soon as the young man took off his glasses. Their guess was correct. The young man came here because of someone. It's just that they didn't think the person the young man wanted to meet was Chleo?!

What did Chleo have that so many handsome boys swamped around her? Chleo West was just an ordinary girl in their eyes, and her clothes were every day in middle-class society. That girl was fortune enough just being a close friend of Evangeline. Then how did this nothing special Chleo get acquainted with such an amazing young man!?

In the past, their senior idol campus also tried to woo Chleo when she was a freshman. Then Chleo met and was quite familiar with Dietrich Hammilton, who was now Evangeline Bernz's lover. As if the goddess of fortune didn't bless her enough, Chleo even had a handsome Russian heir as a close friend!

And now… another young man who doesn't seem like an ordinary person has also come to see Chleo?! How could the other women not feel jealous?

"I feel nauseous," whispered Chleo complaining to her cousin. From the beginning, she did not like the attention of many eyes.

She had no problem if she had the attention of her family, but it was a different story if a stranger was probing her as guilty.

Chleo had no reason to be afraid, and she didn't even have any trauma that would frighten her too much. But as time went on, she somehow became warier of strangers. Lately, she's been having some real-like nightmares.

Like the one that she was drowning in a river or someone kidnapped her and hung her body in a high place. It was ridiculous, and she knew it was only a dream, but... it felt so real.

Besides, when did she have a severe phobia of water?

Imagine. Afraid of water? For Chleora, water was her life! So how could she have a phobia of water?

Everything was just a dream. Right. Just a bad dream. That's what Chleo often kept in mind.

But she couldn't shake the feeling that she had experienced everything she dreamed of.

How strange.

"Ignore them," Evie stated, patting Chleo gently on the shoulder. "Let's go there."

Chleo complied and let Evie lead her to the grinning young man. Chleo tried to ignore the disapproving stares from the girls, but still… she could still feel the prickling on her back.

"Hey! Do you know that your appearance is very eye-catching?" Evie scolded the young man.

"What's wrong?" the young man observed his appearance then glanced at the crowd of girls who were watching him intently.

The young man smiled charmingly and then winked at the crowd, which soon was greeted with hysterical cheers from them. This made Evie rolled her eyes in annoyance.

Young master Diego Regnz, what are you doing?

"Diego, do you realize you just make your sister's life miserable?"

The Regnz siblings stared at Evie in confusion.

"How could that be?"

"Why would I?"

Both Chleo and Diego asked simultaneously in the same protest tone.

"Hey, old auntie, please speak correctly. How could my sister's life be miserable?"

"Old... Old auntie?!"

Diego laughed as he ran to avoid Evie's tantrum while Chleo just shook her head in resignation at the behavior of the two.

'Here we go again.'
