Chleo released her hand from Alexis's gentle grip, then raised her hands and stopped in front of his eyes to block the young man's view.

"Chleo? What are you doing?" asked Alexis, confused.

"Don't look at me like that," Chleo whispered shyly, making Alexis smile a little.

"Why?"

"I'm embarrassed," Chleo answered honestly, making Alexis couldn't help but laugh.

Ah, why is this girl helplessly adorable?

The first time she saw a photo on Vincent's desk when he worked as an intern three years ago, Alexis felt nothing.

But who would have thought? A few days later, he collided with Chleo in front of the elevator door. At that moment, he fell in love at first sight.

At that time, he felt familiar with Chleo's face, which turned out to be he had seen her face through photos. After finding out that the girl was the eldest daughter of Vincentius Regnz, he decided to make the best impression on the Flex group owner.

Alexis raised his hands to hold Chleo's hands again. Then he took her hand and gave her a soft kiss on the back of her hand.

"Wanna go somewhere fun?" asked Alexis all of a sudden.

Before she could respond, Alexis was already leading her into his car. Then their car sped off towards The Great Wheel, which was on the outskirts of town. Realizing where they were going, especially when Chleo started to see the top of the wheel spinning, made Chleo very enthusiastic.

The sun had set, and the sky was dark. Many lights were already lit to decorate the gondola. Not to mention, the colorful city lights that show their beauty make the atmosphere around them even more serene and romantic.

"Are we going up?" it didn't take a fool to see Chleo was excited about their plan to sit in one of the gondolas.

"Isn't that why we are here?" Alexis smirked with satisfaction seeing Chleora's shining gaze.

Miraculously, they didn't have to wait in line and were immediately taken into one of the gondolas there. And it turned out that what they were riding was not an ordinary gondola that could carry eight people. This one was a VIP gondola with only four seats, but red leather seats filled the room, and the floor was made of glass.

Inside, there were four pink balloons in each corner of the room and white flower petals scattered on the chair.

One look, Chleo instantly knew this all must have been prepared by Alexis beforehand. Which girl wouldn't melt seeing all this set-up?

Once they went inside and the door was closed from the outside, the gondola they rode in began to move upward slowly. Without waiting any longer, Chleo directly looked out at the colorful sparkles of the city lights.

Everything looks so dazzling that it fascinates her. Ever since she lived in Seattle, Chleo had always wanted to ride the Ferris wheel here. But she didn't have time because of her packed schedule. She and Evie both wanted to finish college in just three years. If they couldn't make it, they would finish it in three and a half at least.

They both dislike studying, so they preferred to take as many courses as possible at the beginning of the semester and then finish the rest in the last year.

That's why Chleo applied almost all her courses at the beginning of the semester, so she had no time for fun.

Now Alexis took her on a gondola which was very famous in this city, making her feel very happy.

"Do you like it?"

"I like it very much. Thank you for bringing me here." Chleo answered without stopping smiling.

Her gaze was still looking outside, watching the twinkling city lights. It was the first time she'd seen a Seattle night sky this high. Ah, she really felt so felicitous.

When their gondola was at the top, Chleo felt the fringe of her hair being brushed behind her earlobe. This broke her fun of enjoying the scenery. Her thoughts were distracted by the warm touch of the young man's hand sitting across from her.

"I'm sure you've noticed it, but I like you." Alexis's hand that had been combing Chleo's hair moved down to clasp the hand of the girl he likes. "Ever since our eyes met for the first time, I've been fascinated. My heart is pounding, and I can't get you out of my mind. I purposely approached you and became your close friend so that we could get to know each other. I also deliberately waited for the time to show my intentions so that you can focus more on your school."

"You also deliberately approached my family so that they instigate me to accept you," added Chleo while pouting her lips as if she was sulking.

Alexis chuckled at that. "Looks like I made it. They all like me."

"I feel like you are their son compared to me." Chleo continued, pursing her lips even more, which made Alexis want to taste her tiny lips. But he held back. He had to complete his goal of asking the girl out today.

"Chleora Regnz, I'm in love with you. Will you be with me? Get to know each other, open up to each other, and maybe in a few years; we can get married and have kids to take care of."

Chleo gasped at that. She knew that sooner or later, Alexis would ask her out, but married? She never thought that Alexis would think so far ahead.

"You... want to marry me?"

Alexis smiled very gently. "I was taught by quite old-fashioned people. If I want to be in a relationship, then I must have the intention to marry her. And I decided since I met you... I want you to be my life partner. I love you."

Chleo was at a loss for words hearing this. It was the first time she felt loved. It was the first time a man had looked at her the way Alexis was looking at her right now. Full of love, longing, and also a sense of security and warmth.

She was sure this young man genuinely loved her would take care of her as if she was his most priceless treasure. Chleo was sure that her future life would be happy ever after.

The young man had treated her with great affection, especially today when the young man decided to express his feelings. Alexis took her hand, kissed the back of her hand, and did all the things that pleased her.
