Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chapter 66 - Ch. 66 The First Date

Evie instantly teased Chleo as soon as they saw Alexis in front of their campus gates. How could she not tease her? There's something else about Alexis' appearance today. The man was dressed more neatly than usual as if he would apply for an important job.

Usually, the young man would just wear an ordinary sleeved sweater with torn jeans, typical of today's youth style. But now he's wearing a CEO's formal outfit with neatly styled hair.

Not only that, but Chleo's appearance today was also different than usual. Her cousin, who was known for being the laziest to dress up, is wearing makeup today? And also Chleo, who was a bit of a tomboy and rarely wore skirts, now wearing a pretty autumn dress?

One look at the girl, Evie immediately knew a special occasion had occurred between her cousin and Alexis. That's why Evie teased her cousin endlessly, causing Chleo's cheeks to turn red.

Moreover, the young man took his car. So far, Alexis had never brought a car to visit their campus. Chleo didn't want people to notice her, so she forbade anyone who visited her to bring their luxury car.

Unless they came in an ordinary or a lousy car, then Chleo would allow it.

Chleo was weird, but that's what she is. She wanted to avoid people's eyes as much as possible without causing a stir.

Of course, Diego and Alexis didn't want to ride in an ugly car because they were born with a silver spoon in their mouth. So they prefer to come on foot. But now Alexis has come with his car, making all the female students pay attention to him.

Alexis' appearance was already very conspicuous, especially with the presence of his luxury car, making the women even more jealous of Chleo.

To vent their frustration, everyone was gossiping about Chleo out loud. Like saying that Chleo was an easy woman or that Chleo, who was poor, is willing to give her body to get money and so on.

There were also rumors spreading that Chleo had several sugar daddies to the point the news infuriating Evie.

Chleo was being chillaxed about the nasty rumors about her. But it was Evie who couldn't accept it and wanted to smack everyone who was badmouthing her cousin. But Chleo managed to prevent her.

"Come on, just let it go. I'm fine."

"You're fine, but I'm not. How could I allow my cousin to be insulted like this?"

Chleo laughed loudly at that. She immediately pulled Evie walking past the girls who were glaring at her. She didn't want Evie to run into and fight them and create a riot in front of their campus.

If anything happened to her cousin, she might as well cancel her meeting with Alexis because she would never leave Evie in trouble.

So she decided to hurry out and meet Alexis, who was waiting for them.

"Hi, Alexis. I leave this beloved cousin of mine to you for today."

Chleo choked on her own saliva at her cousin's shameless remark.

"Don't take her too late. You have to take her home by exactly ten, not more than later. Do you hear that?"

Chleo glared at her cousin in disbelief while Alexis chuckled in response.

"Yes, ma'am. I'll definitely bring her home before ten."

"Good. Then, you can bring her now." Evie nodded in agreement. "Have a good time," Evie gave a quick peck on Chleo's cheek before walking into the parking lot to her car.

Chleo just shook her head at her cousin's behavior. Why was Evie acting like a mother about to give up her daughter to her future son-in-law?

"Let's go," urged Alexis, to which Chleo immediately agreed without paying attention to the envious stares from her college friends.

Alexis opened his car door before letting Chleo mount in. Seeing Alexis treating Chleo like a precious princess made a pair of eyes furious and hated Chleo so much.

Nonetheless, no one knew nor noticed these eyes' owner as this person stood behind the campus pillars.

Alexis took him to Parsons Gardens, a most romantic place that was rarely found by ordinary walkers. This place was very exclusive to the upper class and could only be accessed by people who have a lot of fortune. Alexis had specially ordered this entire garden so he could enjoy it alone with Chleo.

They walked past the beautiful flower garden for a while. After that, they had dinner in the middle of the garden with a red rose on their round table. The dishes served were seafood which was Chleo's favorite dish.

Two violinists accompanied them and played an elegant and pleasing melody. All of this made Chleo feel warm, and her heart melted right then and there.

Chleo was used to being pampered by her parents. Whatever she wants, she will get it. That's why she wanted to try to be an ordinary girl where she couldn't get anything she wanted. Well, her wishes were entirely granted but not so satisfying. Because She knew there were still two bodyguards who faithfully watched over her and protected her.

The funny thing was, two of her bodyguards even enrolled in her campus. The younger one disguised himself as a final semester student, while the latter disguised as a janitor because of his old age.

Even so, Chleo pretended not to know and did not know them. And so far, everything has been going smoothly. Chleo enjoyed her 'normal' life and immensely enjoyed her life as an ordinary girl. Now she's starting to miss the life as Chleora Regnz, which she will surely get once she graduates.

This was her agreement with her father. Chleo promised, as long as Vincent and the others don't expose her identity as Chleo Regnz during her stay in Seattle, she will let Vincent introduce her to the world as his daughter once she graduates.

Of course, Vincent's goal in introducing her to the world is to find her a worthy life partner. Not only that, Vincent didn't want anyone to look down on his daughter. Therefore, it was better to introduce her directly to the world and make the people in Seattle who initially insulted Chleo felt their faces slapped.

It seemed that Vincent had already guessed that Chleo's college life would be faced by arrogant people who would not like Chleo. That's why Vincent put forward this condition as a form of protection.

Chleo knew the reason why her father wanted so badly to take her back to New York. She also knew her father must have been eager to introduce her to all her business associates and influential people. But still... Chleo still didn't like being the center of attention from strangers.

Maybe... if she had been Alexis Peskhov's lover, perhaps her father would have postponed her debut?

After all, Alexis Peskhov was also one of the most influential people in the business world. Her parents also liked the young man. If today Alexis confessed her feelings, and Chleo accepted it, wouldn't that mean they would become lovers?

And if they became lovers, she could persuade her father to postpone her introduction.

Chleo decided to try a relationship with Alexis if the young man confesses his feelings. It's just... somehow she felt her heart forbid her to have a relationship with Alexis. Not only Alexis, but towards any man, her heart always kept her away from them.

She felt a voice kept telling her that someone already owned her heart.

But... that's impossible... is it?

If that's true... who is that person? Who secretly took her heart?

After a romantic dinner, Alexis took Chleo by the hand and led her up the hill to watch the sunset. At first, Chleo was a bit surprised when Alexis grabbed her hand, but she let it go.

After all, the atmosphere around them was supportive, and Chleo didn't want to spoil it. This was the first time she had linked hands with a grown man other than her father and younger siblings. Her heart was pounding a little bit, and she felt timid.

Is this what it feels like to walk hand in hand? She had never been palpitated like this before. Unknowingly, her face began to show a reddish hue adding to the level of her beauty.

After waiting for a few minutes while chatting lightly, the sun began to move down in a beautiful red-orange color. They watched it with great reverence.

"It's beautiful." praised Chleo enthusiastically.

"Yes. Very beautiful," added Alexis, agreeing with Chleo's expression. Little did she know that Alexis was not looking at the sunset but looking at the woman standing next to him.

"How did you know there was a place..." Chleo's sentence was cut off as soon as she shifted her gaze to Alexis. Chleo just realized, the young man next to her was looking at her with admiration.

Since when did Alexis stare at her?

Could it be... the praise that came out of Alexis's mouth earlier was aimed at her?

Thinking of this possibility made Chleo blush even more.
