Chapter 95 Even the Honey Orochi Wants to Eat the Quintessential Cake

In the evening, on the rooftop of the second floor of the hair salon,

Ye Luo evenly scattered strawberry seeds on a 2-square-meter plot of land, leaving gaps between them.

"West Lion Sea Rathian, please water it."

"La~".

The song controlled a floating bubble, which burst above a clod of earth, and the raindrops poured into the soil, thoroughly watering the seeds.

Ye Luo looked up at the sky. In the clear night, she could see the moon, but forget about the stars. The artificial lights between the skyscrapers had long since covered the starlight.

"There's no rain tonight, so let the seeds sprout. Please look after the Honeybee Serpent."

"Roar!" the Honeycomb Serpent responded, taking care of the plants. It seemed quite content sleeping outdoors at night, as many Grass-type Pokémon prefer to rest in natural environments.

If you don't want to spend too much time and effort on your Pokémon, Grass-type Pokémon are the most suitable for lazy trainers.

Even if you forget to feed them, they can bask in the sun to regain their strength when they are hungry. They are also not afraid of cloudy or rainy days. Some large Grass-type Pokémon can rest outdoors even in windy or rainy weather.

Ye Luo interacted with each of the five heads of the Honeycomb Serpent, greeted them, fed them two tree fruits, and gave the Honeycomb Serpent a Shemi cake.

All five heads wanted to eat the cake.

"Don't steal it."

"Roar!" After Ye Luo spoke, the head of the Honeycomb Serpent stopped moving.

It's hard to explain why the seven snake worms that make up the honeycomb serpent share a single "stomach," since they are essentially just coordinated and unified individuals living together in the body of an apple. One explanation is that the snake worms have a unique way of sharing the energy they get from food.

However, the five heads of the Honeycomb Serpent also have their own ideas, and when it comes to food that interests it, they all want to take a bite.

"It's about the same for each of you, isn't it?"

The four dragon heads in the four directions mainly obey the command of the central dragon head, but in this situation, the command is not effective.

At times like these, only the trainer can weigh their conflicts. Ye Luo could only pick up a knife and fork, divide the Shaymi cake into five equal parts, and feed each dragon a bite.

The honey serpent's mouth is already big, so a small bite of Shemi cake is not even enough to fill its teeth.

"The giant snake, feeling that it had just tasted the food, let out a pitiful cry."

Raising one Honeydew Serpent is equivalent to feeding five medium to large-sized Pokémon at the same time. Compared to Snorlax, which is known as a big eater, it doesn't eat much less.

However, the advantage of Honey Serpent is that it is a Grass-type, which allows it to photosynthesize and replenish nutrients, thus compensating for its large food intake.

"Roar!"

"No, you can only have one dessert a day."

The giant serpent wanted to ask Ye Luo for another piece, but he refused without hesitation.

The number of Shaymin cakes purchased was limited, and each Pokémon only received one. Since it was a seasonal limited-edition cake, if Honeycomb Orochi wanted other Pokémon, then there would be none left.

"Gardevoir doesn't really like sweets. If you want some, go talk to Gardevoir."

"Hmph (Never mind then)!"

The giant snake shook its head in a panic; it dared not ask Gardevoir for anything.

Now evolved into Honeycomb Serpent, it is no weaker than Gardevoir in terms of strength. Its growth path, which focuses on endurance, means that Honeycomb Serpent won't feel too much pain when it takes Gardevoir's attacks head-on.

However, Honeycomb is very afraid of Gardevoir because it was beaten up by it when it was a child.

Later in the journey, Ye Luo finally met Berry-eating Bug, by which time his Ralts had already evolved into Gardevoir.

The overwhelming pressure and the ruthless strength to fight at the slightest provocation deeply shocked the young mind of the fruit-eating worm.

The main problem was that when it was eating fruit bugs in the wild, it was often hungry one day and full the next. After being captured, it ate all the resources in the house, which led to it being severely punished by an angry Gardevoir.

Since then, Honeycomb Orochi has never dared to challenge Gardevoir's authority.

A dominant position is like a mental imprint. Although trainers try their best to treat their Pokémon equally, the Pokémon themselves will distinguish their status and hierarchy within the family.

In terms of ecological niche, the Pokémon that first comes with its trainer has the highest "ecological niche," and the later it is caught, the lower its seniority.

Just like the order of Pokémon's status in nature.

After settling the giant honey snake, Ye Luo bid farewell and returned to the second floor.

The giant serpent lay on the rooftop, glanced up at the moonlight, curled up into the shape of an apple, and went to sleep without fear of the night breeze.

Ye Luo walked down the stairs back to her bedroom on the second floor, where a 75-inch television had been installed in the corner.

Trainer points were insufficient, but there was still plenty of money, so two more pieces of furniture were added.

Unlike before I traveled here, the TV channels are rather limited. The main channels available are battle channels and a few local city channels.

Kanto Region Battle Channel, Golden Voice, Cerulean Voice, Rainbow Voice, Islands Radio.

Aside from the battle channel, which broadcasts battle content directly from the Kanto League, the other three are local radio stations in Saffron City, Cerulean City, and Celadon City.

The island radio station is unique; it is located in the southeast of the Kanto region, in an island group consisting of nine islands, with Guren Island as the head, and other islands, known as the Kanto Seven Islands.

As for why it is called the Seven Islands when there are actually nine islands, this topic has been around for a long time. It is because Crimson Island is too urbanized and is closest to the coast, so it has been listed as one of the cities.

One of the other seven islands disappeared, which is why the Kanto Seven Islands exist today.

Besides the Kanto channel, you can also receive two other regional channels on the TV: the Johto Battle Channel and the Hoenn Voice Channel. You can't receive channels from any further away.

Ye Luo used the infrared function of her Arceus phone to connect to the TV, allowing her to operate it directly on the phone screen as a remote control.

The Kanto region's battle channel is currently broadcasting footage of trainers challenging gyms. Judging from the swimming pool-like arena and the cool and beautiful trainer Misty standing on the rocks, this is a challenge match in Cerulean City.

On the other side of the screen is the trainer of the Cyndaquil, I remember her name is Anai.

Ye Luo sat on the sofa watching, while the Serow Sea Ren poked him and patted its tail with its forepaws.

"Hey~ (Sit here)."

Ye Luo then got up and sat on the ground, leaning against Primarina's fish tail. Primarina watched TV with its trainer.

Meloeta also took the opportunity to use her telekinesis to hold the plate of Shemi's cake, float down to Ye Luo's lap and sit down, eating dessert while watching the show.

"Anai is quite capable."

Ye Luo couldn't help but praise him. Before the final Cinderace and Gyarados, he first commanded Sableye to pull them back as much as possible, using a high-five and a stun to seal the Surf move, which was the most threatening to Fire-type Pokémon.

Then, they summoned Cyndaquil and used Brute Force followed by Quick Attack to finish it off, resulting in a stunning comeback from a type disadvantage.

No wonder it was shown on TV as a highlight reel of the competition.

High-tech cameras are installed in the battle arenas of the regional gyms, which can record every gym challenge match in 3D without any blind spots. The best footage will be selected and displayed on the battle channel.

Seeing that it was getting late, Ye Luo turned off the TV and got up to wash up.

When Ye Luo returned, she found that west Shi Hai Ren had already helped pull down the sheets from the floor mat. Ye Luo casually sat down on the edge of the bed.

He patted the head of the Siberian Hurricane.

"Good night."

"La~".

Lying in bed to sleep, Seirin also lay down, while Meloetta had already eaten and drunk her fill.

Meloieta floats in the dimly lit room, a sliver of moonlight streaming through the window, singing softly in this ambiance.

Singing a soothing lullaby, everyone in the house and their Pokémon have fallen asleep.

Primarina slept next to its trainer, its slow snoring like a rhythmic melody. Arcanine glanced at the moonlight from the windowsill, then bent down and continued sleeping.

The giant honey snake on the rooftop was now fast asleep, its fragrant nectar drifting onto the soil on the breeze.

The seed sprouted without anyone noticing.

The melody drifted down the cyan staircase. On the first floor, Diancie was fast asleep on a soft cushion, while her Umbreon, curled up in a ball, twitched its ears slightly beside her.

In the very center of the first floor, Gardevoir stood quietly meditating, passing the night.

Meloeta, having finished singing the lullaby, squeezed next to Ye Luo's pillow and quickly fell asleep.

Spend a peaceful night.
