Chapter 5 Cindy ties up Harley
You've got the wrong person...
In the comics, Cindy Moon, known as "Silk," is unable to control her instinctive impulses whenever she encounters Spider-Man.
The problem is, this is Gotham City, and Connors isn't Spider-Man; he just has a spider-sense.
Now, not only has Cindy Muen appeared, but she's also given him an upside-down kiss.
Aside from being shocked, he didn't react much. Cindy, on the other hand, kept her eyes closed and her breathing became more and more rapid.
Connors, with his sharp eyes, could even see the raised bumps on the red, white, and black "Spider Silk" suit.
After struggling for a moment, he discovered that the spider silk Cindy fired from her fingertips was extremely tough and could not be broken by him at all.
"Since I can't resist, I guess I'll just have to enjoy it..."
Connors sighed inwardly, letting Cindy's "Spider Silk" hands explore him.
……
"If this is a world where Marvel and DC are merged, then I'll have to think about it carefully."
"Most villains in Gotham City commit crimes through cunning and skill; Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, and Bane are extremely rare."
"For now, there's no need to worry about encountering overwhelmingly powerful opponents. You can treat this place as your starting area and develop your strength for a while."
"But the problem now is, we already have Harley Quinn, so how do we deal with Cindy Moon, who's practically offering herself up..."
On the rooftop of a tall building by the street, Connors lay in a suspended hammock woven from spider silk, with Cindy Moon nestled in his arms, looking like a little bird clinging to him.
However, what came quickly went quickly. Cindy Moon soon got up from beside him, and a large amount of spider silk shot out from the tip of one finger, covering her impressive figure.
With his other hand, he used spider silk to tie up the battle suit he had taken off, and then quickly left without looking back.
Is pulling out...pulling out x heartless?
Before Connors could even react, Cindy had already disappeared into the high-rise building.
Once he was dressed, his spider senses, which had failed in front of "Spider Silk" Mu En, returned, and he finally spotted Harley Quinn climbing up the stairs.
"Didn't they catch that mysterious guy?" Harley Quinn asked blankly, looking at the spiderweb hammock behind Connors.
"No." Connors said matter-of-factly. He hadn't caught the other person; in fact, he was the one who got caught.
"It's alright," Harley Quinn said, brandishing a baseball bat from who-knows-where, "I've already found out about the Joker..."
Is the Joker about to cause trouble?
Connors was invigorated. He had thought the Joker would behave himself for a while after his release, but he hadn't expected him to make a move so quickly.
"Do you know what he's going to do?"
Harley Quinn didn't answer; instead, she handed her a newspaper.
The newspaper headline prominently displayed the following large title:
"The patients at Arkham Asylum have collectively escaped!"
The following list includes the Joker, the Riddler, Bane, the Scarecrow, the Penguin, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy...
This scene isn't in the comics. Connors frowned, not because he was worried about how much trouble these people would cause, but because Batman was there, he could just quietly watch the show.
But if all these villains were to get involved, it seems like I wouldn't be able to keep up with all the drama...
"You said you have information about the Joker, what is it about?" Connors asked.
Harley Quinn pulled a walkie-talkie from behind her shorts, pressed a button, and a broken voice came through:
"...It's nothing, Captain. It was just some idiot photographer trying to get a headline..."
"Cuff him and send him to the city. This is no joke."
After a brief exchange, only laughter remained on the other end of the walkie-talkie.
"Looks like you've all wasted your time, hehehe... hahahaha!... Gordon... hahahaha! Help hahahaha!"
Connors' first reaction was, "Who's calling for help on the walkie-talkie and acting so happily?" His second reaction was, "If, as Harley Quinn said, this is information about the Joker, then the conclusion is clear."
--nitrous oxide!
Following the plot they vaguely remembered, Connors and Harley Quinn asked for directions and then quickly ran towards it from the rooftop.
……
Williams Medical Center.
The place had already been bombed; there was a large hole in the wall, and spent bullet casings, guns, and corpses were scattered all over the ground.
"These guards were killed by the shockwave of the explosion, and before the rest of the guards could rush out of the office, he poured bullets into this place with a machine gun..."
"We learned from the survivors that the killer was likely this clown."
"He kicked open the door to the intensive care unit and threw out a bunch of loaded weapons as a gift for joining his new fan club."
"..."
Batman, dressed in his suit, listened to the description from the only survivor present. Even though the upper half of his face was covered by a mask, his expression grew increasingly serious.
"By the way, Batman, I think you should take a look at this."
After Gordon finished speaking, he walked in another direction from the medical center, with Batman following closely behind. The two of them stood together against a wall.
Beside the wall lay a blood-stained mop; the words on the wall were clearly written with it:
"One after another, death is not far off. Fallen city, I will go with you to the underworld."
Gordon and Batman stood side by side, their gazes shifting from the blood-written verses to the small words written in marker beside them:
"—This was done by the clown."
It also included an arrow pointing to the poem.
The handwriting was exceptionally neat, completely unlike the style of the poem written with blood as ink.
"Who wrote this?" Batman pointed to the line of small print.
"It appeared out of nowhere, and nobody knows who wrote it... Maybe it's a prank?" Captain Gordon guessed.
Batman remains silent, and whether it's a prank or the Joker's accomplice, he will do everything in his power to capture them.
"Now it's not just those guys from Arkham who need to be caught; the fugitives from Williams Medical Center also need to be apprehended..."
Before Gordon could finish speaking, Batman had already vanished.
From then until nightfall until dawn, Batman traversed every corner of Gotham City, capturing only six accomplices who had escaped from Williams Medical Center before daybreak.
Inside Wayne Tower, Alfred held the clothes Bruce Wayne had just taken off.
"Could you take a nap first, Master Wayne?"
"Not today, Alfred, I have a lot of things to do." Bruce Wayne said and walked toward the elevator.
"As expected, I suggest you rest for at least ten minutes before dealing with this tonight... Also, someone anonymously sent an email tonight about your rival, the Joker."
Bruce stopped walking.
"The email contained only two words: 'laughing gas' and 'reservoir'."
……
With his spider-sense active, Connors easily avoided being seen, mischievously wrote a line of small print under the poem the Joker had written, and then sent an email to Batman using an anonymous address created by Harley Quinn.
He was definitely going to follow the drama between Batman and the Joker, but he didn't plan to get too involved. He didn't want Batman to deal with the Joker and then trace the clues back to him.
With the words "laughing gas" and "reservoir" present, someone as intelligent as you, sir, must surely understand the subsequent developments of this matter.
The Joker is a headache for Batman, while Connors has his own things to deal with.
—After being tied up by Cindy Moon, the "Spider Silk," during the day, he was tied up by Harley Quinn at night.
"Let me guess, was this the position you were using?"
