Once Bilbo had retreated back into the kitchen, Dui breathed a sigh of relief and turned to look at the entry seriously.

"A Hogwarts sign-in system? But what does that have to do with Middle-earth? If it's a Hogwarts sign-in system, shouldn't I be transported to the Harry Potter world? How did I end up in Middle-earth?"

"Could it be that I wore the wrong clothes?"

Dui was full of doubt and confusion.

He tried to ask what the system did.

But the system didn't respond at all; the entries just kept floating brightly in front of him, waiting for him to make a decision.

Receiving no response from the system, Dui could only tentatively ask, "Check-in?"

The entry flickered, the previous text disappeared, and then a new line of text appeared:

[Check-in successful! Magical talent unlocked! Congratulations on becoming a wizard!]

The next moment, Dui felt as if some kind of secret realm had been opened in his body, and a surge of magical power surged out from within him and quickly spread to his limbs and bones.

"puff!"

I vaguely heard an invisible barrier within my body being broken through.

The next second, the magic power within him burst out of his body.

In an instant, Dui felt his body become light and float up as if it had no weight at all.

The entire room, including the tables, chairs, sofa, and teapot, was lifted into the air and floated!

"Oh my God!"

A shocked voice came from the kitchen doorway.

Bilbo Baggins stared wide-eyed at what he was seeing, his plate instantly falling to the ground.

As if startled by Bilbo's commotion, the floating objects suddenly paused, then, as if losing their strength, all fell to the ground.

The room was instantly turned into a mess.

Dui recovered from the burst of magic and looked at the scene he had created, his face full of apology.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Baggins, I didn't mean it, it's all my fault!"

Bilbo barely recovered from the shock, and his gaze toward Dui became fervent and adoring.

"Mr. Duir, you're actually a wizard!"

"This is amazing!"

"I didn't even expect this myself," Dui thought to himself.

The rest of the time was spent cleaning up the mess.

Although Dui really wanted to use magic to restore everything around him.

But right now he's just a Muggle wizard who has magic but doesn't know how to use it.

So I had to clean it up myself, bit by bit.

After cleaning up, Bilbo made two more meals.

On the table,

Bilbo said somewhat apologetically, "I'm sorry, Mr. Duyle, we didn't prepare anything for today, so this is all we can have for now. I'll go to the market to buy groceries first thing tomorrow morning and prepare the most sumptuous dinner we hobbits can offer you."

Noticing Bilbo's somewhat cautious attitude, Dui smiled and shook his head, offering gentle words of comfort:

"Bilbo, may I call you that? You don't have to be so formal; you can just call me Duir. And I should thank you for taking me in, so why can't we be friends?"

Feeling Dui's sincere attitude, Bilbo completely relaxed and a smile appeared on his face.

The kind-hearted hobbits, without much thought, happily accepted Duy's friendship.

He happily stretched out his hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Duir, my friend!"

Dui smiled brightly and reached out to shake the other person's hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Bilbo, my friend!"

The atmosphere inside the bag bottom hole became friendly and warm.

Dui asked Bilbo about the Shire and other things outside of it.

Bilbo was very open with his knowledge. Although he had never left the Shire and knew very little about it, he loved reading adventure stories, so he gave Dui a lot of useful information.

For example, starting from the Shire, there is a main east-west road that passes Brandy Bridge, Old Forest, Ancient Mound, and arrives at the human town of Buri. Further east lies the Endless Wasteland, leading all the way to the Misty Mountains.

It is said that there is a main north-south road south of the town of Brie that will bypass the Misty Mountains and eventually reach the southern human kingdom of Gondor.

The current time is 1340 in the Shire calendar, which is 2940 in the Third Age of Middle-earth.

That is, the year before Bilbo joined the Lonely Mountain Expedition.

This means that soon, the hobbit in front of us will embark on his thrilling adventure.

Before becoming a wizard, Dui's thought was simply to survive.

After the sign-in system was implemented, he began to consider whether or not to join the Lonely Mountain Expedition.

After all, the expedition team will pass through different places along the way, including territories inhabited by elves. If he wants to sign in at different places, joining the Lonely Mountain Expedition Team is a good option.

Late at night, after saying goodnight to Bilbo.

Dui lay on the bed, which was a bit small for him, with the blankets barely covering the lower half of his body.

However, since it is the height of summer now, there is no need to worry about catching a cold.

Moonlight streamed through the round window, casting its glow and mingling with the dim candlelight.

Listening to the chirping of crickets and croaking of frogs outside, Dui's uneasy heart gradually calmed down.

They come, the security,

Arriving unexpectedly in this strange yet familiar world, he had no choice but to try his best to become stronger and live a good life.

Dui's mind went blank, and slowly, his consciousness became hazy until he finally fell asleep.

On the second day,

Dui woke up very early.

Hearing the faint snoring from next door, he bent down and tiptoed into the cylindrical living room, opened the round door, and entered the garden.

Facing the gentle breeze and the fragrance of flowers, he finally took a deep breath.

The hobbit houses are so low that people have to bend over all the time. Even if they don't get back pain, they're probably going to get cervical spondylosis.

Bilbo's Bag End is located on the hill of Hobbiton.

From here, the entire view of Hobbiton is clearly visible.

Hobbiton is a beautiful place, like a fairytale town, with lush green grass, abundant flowers, and even the trees and bushes are very low, as if to cater to the owners of this place.

Dui was so captivated by the beautiful scenery that he almost felt the urge to live there permanently.

After enjoying the beautiful scenery, Dui began to think about the tasks for the next period of time.

Although he has now become a wizard, he has no wand that wizards rely on, nor has he learned a single spell.

Compared to ordinary people, he is not much stronger at all.

Although as a former "Harry Potter fan", I can readily recite some spells such as "Yugadim Leviosa", "Expelliarmus", "Petrify All", and even "Avada Kedavra".

But magic isn't simply about chanting incantations to have an effect. You also need to understand magical theory, use a wand and proper hand gestures, and master spells to successfully unleash its power.

So even though Dui chanted the incantation until his lips were almost worn out, there was no reaction whatsoever.

However, Dui did not give up.

He firmly believed that even without a wand or any magic knowledge, as long as one had a strong will, one could still produce magical effects.

Didn't Harry Potter, before even enrolling in school, magically make the zoo's glass disappear, allowing the python to escape, and then lock his cousin Dudley inside?

Even Neville, who was once considered a dud by his family, could bounce like a ball and fly a long distance when in danger.

Although these are not intentional acts of spellcasting, Dui believed that if he tried hard enough, he might be able to cast a spell.

So Dui focused his gaze on a stone in the garden, trying to concentrate his will and make it fly.

But after trying for a long time, even turning his face red from holding his breath, the stone still didn't react at all.

Abandoning the heavier stones, Dui simply chose a leaf as his practice subject.

At first, the leaves did not react either.

But as time passed, the leaf moved without wind, and under an invisible force, it slowly and shakily rose into the air.
