Just as the dire wolves and orcs were closing in on the expedition from all sides.

First, the brown-robed wizard Darrigaster sprang out of the forest in his rabbit sled, taunted Oak and the dire wolf, and then quickly fled into the distance.

Immediately afterwards, another carriage rushed out of the forest. Dui used a spell to knock down the two dire wolves blocking the way, and then brazenly drove the carriage off in another direction.

Surprisingly, the ponies pulling the carriage seemed to feel no weight at all, pulling the light carriage at a brisk pace.

Seeing the people running in two directions, hundreds of Orcs and War Wolves split into two groups and chased after the two.

Darrigus, with the speed of the Rossober hare and his superb driving skills, traversed the forest as if it were flat ground, narrowly escaping the dire wolf.

Dui presents a different picture; although the dwarf horse pulls the carriage quickly, it still cannot match the speed of the dire wolf.

So whenever the dire wolves caught up, he would cast a spell to repel a group of dire wolves, putting them and the orcs some distance away. But soon the dire wolves would catch up again, knock down another group, and then catch up again... In this way, the number of dire wolves and orcs chasing Dui decreased.

Dire wolves are very cunning and intelligent creatures. Although they become Orc's mount, the two are only cooperating, not in a subordinate relationship.

Seeing that he hadn't gained any advantage from Dui, he immediately abandoned the chase, ignoring Oak's curses, and chose to pursue the others instead.

Dui's original intention was to lure the enemy away, but now that the enemy had stopped chasing, he was naturally not going to allow it. He immediately changed direction and chased after the dire wolf and the orc instead.

"Petrify them all!" Dui caught up with a dire wolf and unleashed a spell.

The dire wolf came to a stop, and the Orc on its back was flung off by the immense inertia.

Before Dui could cast a spell on Oak, an arrow pierced Oak's head and sent him straight to hell.

"Who stole my head?" Dui looked in the direction the arrow had come from.

A melodious and resounding bugle call came from afar.

The ground shook, and the sound of horses' hooves thundered.

A tall, silver army clad in magnificent and elegant armor, riding swift and agile steeds, hunted down orcs and dire wolves across the wilderness.

Their skills were superb, their movements swift and elegant, every arrow they shot hit its mark, and every swing of their swords severed an Orc's head.

It's like a perfect display of the art of fighting.

They are warriors of the elves.

Faced with the invincible elven cavalry, Orc and his wargs were unable to form an effective defense and crumbled at the first blow. After losing most of their fighting strength, they began to flee in disarray.

The elves were disciplined and acted in an orderly manner. After chasing for a distance, they quickly stopped and began to finish off the remaining Orks and War wolves.

One of the groups of Pokémon walked towards Dui.

The lead elf rode a tall, white steed, clad in magnificent armor and a midnight blue battle robe. His face showed no signs of age; he was neither old nor young. His jet-black hair flowed smoothly down his back, bound by an exquisite silver band.

His grey eyes shone with wisdom and a profound depth that seemed to have seen many hardships, like a king who had weathered many storms, exuding an aura of nobility and majesty that inspired awe in others.

"Greetings from afar, guest! May I ask your name?"

"Duir, a wizard, came from the West."

"Duir the Black-Robed Wizard? Friend of Halflings, Tree Cutter of Huon, Slayer of Corpses, your name is known even among the elves," the elf said with curiosity mixed with scrutiny. "But now, I suppose we should add the honorary title of Enemy of the Orks."

"And I sensed a fear emanating from you from another race. Did you go to the Ogre Forest?" The elf's gray eyes were penetrating, as if they could see through everything in the world and discern all secrets and truths.

"Ogres attacked several nearby villages, and Gandalf and I went into the Ogre Forest to rescue the villagers and killed several ogres," Dui explained.

"A noble act." The elf nodded, his face showing approval. "So Gandalf came with you too?"

"We traveled together, but I was in charge of distracting the Orcs and the War Wolves, so we got separated."

Upon hearing this, the elf's attitude became friendly.

"Since you are Gandalf's friend, please come with us."

Traveling together

The elves were all very quiet, which made Dui, who was used to the dwarves' noise, feel a little uncomfortable.

These dwarves and elves are truly two extremes; one talks too much, annoying people; the other talks too little, like a pair of silent bottles.

Hidden in a heather-covered wasteland, the secluded valley is surrounded by treacherous valleys, forests, swamps, and streams, making it difficult to find.

Without the guidance of the elves, it would be impossible to find the path into the valley.

Dui drove his carriage behind the elf procession, following the steep, zigzagging path into the canyon.

The moment Du Yi stepped into the secluded valley, his eyes widened in amazement, as if he had fallen into a dreamlike realm forgotten by time.

Wildflowers bloom in the valley, and winding paths paved with white gravel lead to the valley. White and elegant buildings stretch along the valley and riverbanks, built according to the terrain, with palaces, towers, bridges, gardens, terraces and other structures standing side by side.

What shocked Dui even more was that he discovered the entire valley was shrouded in an extremely powerful energy, making it full of magic, spring-like all year round, vibrant with life, and filled with an atmosphere of holiness and peace.

There is no other explanation for such power except for Elrond, who possesses the Ring of Air, Vya.

Meanwhile, after Dui and Darrigast lured the Orks and the wargs away, Gandalf led Bilbo and the dwarves into a secret passage and into a secluded valley.

The expedition members had just crossed a narrow stone bridge without railings and arrived at the entrance to the valley.

An elf then descended the steps.

"Mislandir".

"Ah, Lindir, it's been a long time!" Gandalf greeted him familiarly.

"Where is Lord Elrond? I'd like to speak with him."

"Lord Elrond is not here."

"Not here?"

Where is he?

Gandalf asked in confusion.

Suddenly, horns sounded outside the entrance to the valley, and an elven cavalryman entered in an orderly fashion along the stone bridge.

Upon seeing the elven cavalry in full armor, the dwarves instinctively became wary.

"alert!"

"Weapons ready!"

"Tighten formation!"

With Thorin's shout, the dwarves drew their weapons, pulled Bilbo into the center, and formed a defensive circle back to back.

The elven cavalry didn't hold back either, circling the dwarves repeatedly, as if taunting and teasing them.

"Duir! I see Duir!" Bilbo's eyes lit up as he spotted the wagons following the elven cavalry and tried to squeeze through the dwarves.

"Gandalf," the leading black-haired elf greeted Gandalf.

"Lord Elrond," Gandalf greeted, "my friend, where have you been?"

"Hunting a group of Orks who crossed the Bruinen River and ventured into the Elven Forest."

Elrond dismounted and handed his sword to his secretary, Lindir.

"It's strange that these Oc are so close to here. There must be something or someone that has attracted them."

Elrond gave the wary dwarves a meaningful look.

Then the tone changed.

"By the way, we encountered one of your companions while hunting Orks, and invited him to join us."

He pointed to Dui, who had come with the elves.
