As one of the wisest elves in Middle-earth, deciphering the information on a map was a piece of cake for Elrond. He immediately recognized the text on the map as the ancient dwarven code—the Moon Script—and knew how to interpret it.

"The Moon Script can only be revealed under moonlight, and it must meet certain conditions of waxing and waning, and the timing must be exactly the same as the phase of the moon on the day it is written," Elrond explained.

"These words were written on a midsummer night, under the moonlight of a crescent moon nearly two hundred years ago."

"Your visit to the Valley seems preordained," Elrond said, looking at Thorin. "Fate has favored you, Thorin Oakenshield, for the same moonlight shines upon you tonight."

Elrond led the group to a crystal platform and placed the map on it. The moonlight reflected off the map, revealing the lunar script on it.

"When the thrush chirps, standing beside the gray rocks, the sun gradually sets, and the last rays of the day in Turin will shine on the keyhole."

Upon hearing the information deciphered and translated by Elrond, Thorin abandoned his arrogance and frowned as he pondered the information provided by the map.

The map clearly indicates that they need to reach the Lonely Mountain on the Day of Durin, and then use the key to open the entrance to the Lonely Mountain when the last rays of light on the Day of Durin reach the keyhole, thus gaining entry into the Lonely Mountain.

Having obtained the method to enter Lonely Mountain, Thorin was eager to set off and determined to reach Lonely Mountain before the Day of Dulin.

But Gandalf said he would stay in the valley for a few more days.

He summoned members of the White Way Society to discuss how to deal with the appearance of the Witch King of Angmar and the emergence of necromancers in Dorgudu.

Thorin was very dissatisfied with this; he was only focused on recapturing Lonely Mountain and didn't care about anything else.

So they were ready to abandon Gandalf and lead the people out of the valley to continue their journey.

As for Dui, he had spent the last few days with Elohir and Elladan, and under the guidance of these two elven brothers, he visited the garden, library, forge, and other places, and even met the future King of Elezar—Aragorn.

However, at this time Aragorn was just a little boy of about ten years old, and he didn't even have that name. Instead, he had the name Estelle, which means "hope," and he was raised by Elrond.

Looking at the little kid who was as close as Elohir and Elladan as brothers, Dui couldn't help but think of their sister Alwen, who lived far away in Los Lorien.

I wonder if the two brothers would still be so close if they knew that he was the one who married his sister Alwen and even made Alwen give up her eternal life as an elf?

With the White Way Society meeting about to convene...

Just when Dui thought he would leave with the dwarves first, Gandalf approached him first, wanting to take him to the meeting of the White Order.

"Gandalf, isn't this a bit inappropriate?"

After all, he's not a member of the White Path Society, so why would he attend this meeting?

Gandalf shook his head. "This meeting needs your presence, and there are some things that need to be proven by you and me together to be more convincing."

Seeing that Gandalf persisted, Dui no longer refused.

He also wanted to meet the members of the White Path Society, since each member was a big shot in their own right, and it was a rare opportunity for them to get together.

A garden at the highest point of a secluded valley on a moonlit night.

Duy followed Gandalf to the stone pavilion in the garden.

The first thing that caught my eye was a tall, incredibly beautiful elf standing in the moonlight, radiating a hazy glow, with a noble and elegant air about her.

She wore a magnificent white robe, and her long, shimmering golden hair cascaded down like a waterfall. Her eyes were bright and deep, exuding wisdom and mystery, as if they could see into people's hearts.

"Mislandir".

Upon seeing Gandalf, a smile appeared on her face, and instantly the surroundings seemed to brighten.

"Countless years have passed."

"Lady Galadriel".

Gandalf nodded and said in praise, "Time may have changed me, but it cannot change Mrs. Lorraine."

Lady Galadriel's smile deepened, her beauty more radiant than the moon in the sky.

Duy was also stunned by Galadriel's beauty. She was the most beautiful elf he had ever seen, surpassing human understanding of beauty. Every smile and frown of hers was incredibly attractive.

However, Galadriel's smile blossomed upon seeing Gandalf's compliment.

If he hadn't known she had a husband, he would have suspected the relationship between the two.

But just as she thought that, the elven lady opposite her seemed to sense something and turned her gaze to Dui.

Meeting those eyes that seemed to see right through people, Dui's heart skipped a beat. He quickly cleared his mind, bowed to the other person, and avoided those penetrating gazes.

Gandalf, who was standing nearby, took the initiative to introduce Duy: "Lady Galadriel, this is my companion Duy, the black wizard Duy. I cannot match his talent and skill in magic."

"Greetings, Lady Galadriel, may the starlight forever shine upon you!" Duy greeted her again with utmost respect.

"A black-robed wizard?" Galadriel looked at him with curiosity and inquiry.

"Young wizard, why do you dare look me in the eye?" A voice suddenly echoed in Dui's mind. Galadriel, however, remained silent, her eyes revealing a meaningful glint.

Is she hiding something from me?

Telepathy? Dui was instantly shocked.

Confirming that the other party was speaking to him telepathically, he quickly tried to say in his mind, "Of course not, Lady Galadriel, I just can't look directly into your beautiful eyes, they are like the most dazzling star of Eyarendil in the sky, blinding."

Could he possibly say that he was talking about her and Gandalf's relationship while cricket fighting, afraid that she would find out?

Then raise your head, look directly at the other person, and try to make your expression more sincere.

Galadriel's smile deepened, as if she were pleased by Dui's praise.

[You cunning young wizard, you have a silver tongue.]

Galadriel seemed to have teased Dui enough and stopped speaking to him telepathically.

"Young wizard, once you've completed this journey, you're welcome to visit Lorien."

Then, to Dui's astonishment, she stretched out a slender hand, opened her palm, and revealed a luminous gemstone.

"This is?"

"This is the Elesar Gem, also known as the Elf Gem. It contains the light of the sun and can be used as the core of a staff."

"This is far too precious!" Dui hesitated to accept it. He could sense the powerful magic contained within the gemstone. If it were used to make a staff, it would definitely create a powerful staff.

Moreover, he remembered that the gem was eventually given to Aragorn by Galadriel as part of Arwen's dowry and as a gift for Aragorn's coronation as king.

We've only just met, and you're already giving me such a precious magic gem?

Even for the sake of Elrond and Gandalf, it shouldn't be this bad, right?

After all, he saw that Gandalf and Elrond both looked surprised, clearly not expecting Galadriel to give them this gem.

"Take it." Galadriel's voice was gentle, but carried an irresistible force.

When Dui came to his senses, the gem was already in his palm, radiating a warm power like the sun.

"However, I have one condition," Galadriel said.

"What are the conditions?"

Dui immediately looked up, and upon hearing the request, he felt somewhat reassured.

"I need you to make a magic wand for Alvin."
