Cultivating Immortality: I Have a High-Martial World
Author's Note on the Launch of Chapter 83
Author's Note on the Launch of Chapter 83
I received a notification that it will be available at midnight tonight, but there may be a slight delay of a few minutes.
As is customary, let's start by talking about this book.
To be honest, the initial concept for this book was indeed something I came up with on a whim.
From conceiving the book's premise to writing the first 10,000 words, it probably only took one day.
The lack of a clear concept also led to some flaws in the early stages of the book.
During the new book release period, in addition to writing daily drafts, I also improved the outline and refined the previous chapters.
However, the story and pace will be much faster after it's released.
Let's first talk about the problems encountered in the creative process.
First, naturally, is the setting of handing it over to the state.
Yes, the common plot of this type of transmigration novel is that the protagonist gets a cheat code, survives and develops, and eventually becomes a big shot before revealing his true colors.
But for this book, my initial idea was to hand it over to the nation. Backed by the advanced technology, martial arts, and resources of a high-level martial arts world, it would provide the protagonist with rapid development.
From the beginning to the time it was published, about half a year had passed in the novel, and the protagonist successfully established his foundation.
If the resources are not handed over to the country, the protagonist might still be struggling with resources at the fifth or sixth level of Qi Refining, and would inevitably take great risks in order to earn resources.
However, it is clear that with resources, the protagonist, centered in the world of high martial arts, also has the means to survive and develop in the world of cultivation.
However, this book won't be a story of cunning and opportunism; it's more of a steady, conservative narrative. The protagonist will take some risks to compete for certain crucial resources.
As for the scenario of a high-level martial arts world nation or a martial arts palace splitting the protagonist, that will not happen.
Logically speaking, the protagonist is unique, and the country can only rely on the protagonist if it wants to explore the cultivation world, so it should protect him well and maintain a good relationship with him.
From my writing perspective, if I'm going to write about exchanges, it must be a two-way exchange between the protagonist and the country, a mutually beneficial situation. I don't want to write those disgusting plot points.
Secondly, a comparison between martial arts and immortal cultivation.
In the setting of this book: martial arts can be understood as "body cultivation", only with more modern technology, but the upper limit of martial arts is the upper limit of body cultivation in the world of immortal cultivation.
Therefore, martial arts and immortal cultivation each have their own advantages and disadvantages, and the protagonist cultivates both to make up for his shortcomings.
Finally, regarding the writing focus of this book.
Initially, I wanted to write more about the world of high martial arts, the various shocks the protagonist brings back with the power of cultivation, and the changes it brings to the era of high martial arts.
In the first few dozen chapters of the novel, it is clear that the story is almost evenly divided between the world of high martial arts and the world of cultivation.
However, in the writing process, I gradually tended to have the protagonist use a high-martial arts world as a backing and explore the path of cultivation as the main storyline.
The exploration of the cultivation world is described in great detail, while the changes to the high-martial world are only briefly mentioned.
For example, five or six chapters could be dedicated to exploring the cultivation world, and two or three chapters could describe the gains made, or the changes they brought back to the high-martial arts world...
One more point: many people say that the first dozen or so chapters before the book was published were too clichéd.
I didn't think so when I first wrote it, but looking back, it does seem a bit old-fashioned.
Sigh, being a novelist is so tough; other professions are building upon the work of their predecessors to reach new heights.
However, when writing novels, if you stand on the shoulders of your predecessors, you'll likely be criticized for being outdated.
I tried to make some changes, but I found that those few scenes were indeed difficult to modify.
After getting through the beginning, you'll probably find that the later parts are quite novel.
—This is a dividing line—
These are some thoughts I wanted to share with everyone during the creative process.
Next up is the update everyone's been waiting for after the game goes live.
It is initially estimated that 10 chapters, totaling about 12 words, will be released after midnight.
Then, at noon, seven more chapters were released, totaling nearly 30,000 words.
On the day of its release, 17 chapters were updated.
This is also all the manuscripts I've accumulated during the new book launch period...
After it's published, there will be two chapters every day at noon, each with 5,000 words, totaling over 10,000 words.
(Just to clarify, the price of a chapter is related to the word count; a 5,000-word chapter costs more than a typical author's daily rate...)
Therefore, I'm asking for an initial subscription!
The initial subscription is very important for a book. This book has 18 words in the free period, which is not a small amount.
Therefore, I hope that all of you who have read this far will click to subscribe to the first chapter. It only costs about one cent...
As for the rules for additional chapters later.
If the initial subscription exceeds 1000, an additional chapter will be added for every 100 additional subscriptions.
More chapters will be added if there are more monthly votes.
And for the Alliance Leader, here's an extra chapter!
The above is my message regarding the product launch.
Please, all you handsome guys, give me a first subscription.
See you tonight at midnight!
I'm offering a new book as a sacrifice~ This martial god is too extreme.
The gods look down from the starry sky, and the old days murmur in the abyss.
This is an interstellar era of countless races clashing and gods rising again. Su Tu enters this world with a system that grants unlimited skill-grinding abilities.
From physical strengthening to godhood that crushes stars.
From "good luck" to "destiny" where everything goes as you wish.
From spiritual wisdom to the attainment of enlightenment that transcends worldly concerns.
