Chapter 606 : The Fantasy Wizard in the Room
Chapter 606 (604): The Fantasy Wizard in the Room
"Do you think we can get into Wizard Grimm's room like this?"
A very soft sound came from the corridor where lanterns were lit.
The three children walked cautiously, jostling each other, and then all hunched over to look at the mysterious wooden door.
It's as if another world is hidden inside.
"Sarah, Wizard Green doesn't lock the door. If we knock and offer our gifts, he won't chase us away."
Zoe said earnestly, her eyes sparkling.
It was so late, yet she was dressed very formally, as if she were bracing herself to attend an important tea party.
The little girl changed into a gorgeous dark green velvet dress. The collar was an exaggerated, structured white lace lapel, and there was a huge bow at the back.
She wore a pearl headband and small white gloves.
They were incredibly childish, yet they had to pretend to be dignified.
In contrast, Sarah, whose big eyes seemed to have just realized something, was dressed in a dark blue duffle coat with round wooden buttons.
She paired it with a bright red wool beret and a matching scarf, with the hem of a plaid wool skirt and thick knitted stockings peeking out underneath.
Her little hands were in her pockets, and the tip of her nose was red from the cold.
It's fluffy and soft, like Paddington Bear in winter.
As for Bard.
They dressed like human beings.
There was a knock on the door.
The three hesitant children immediately huddled together, trembling.
Is he there?
"I saw the room light was on."
"What's glowing might be some kind of magic."
"Zovie, Sarah noticed the door isn't open yet."
"I saw it too, Sarah. Don't worry, be patient—"
"Crunch"
There was a knock at the door.
The wind chimes emitted a crisp, trembling sound the moment the door shook.
The three little ones pointed their heads out from the crack in the door.
Another world slowly unfolded in their pupils.
The books without wings hung in mid-air, turning their pages automatically.
The ink bottle, with its glass legs, paced across the table, leaving luminous footprints.
In the center of the room stood several doors. Through the door frames, which burned with eerie green flames, the scenes inside flowed like water: one second it was the rose-colored dawn of the desert, and the next it was an ice field in a blizzard.
"Do we really have to go to the iceberg?"
On the crossbeam, an owl wearing gold-rimmed glasses shook off the ice shards from its body.
"snort."
The snow-white owl turned its head around and then hopped onto the largest book.
If you look closely, you can hear her voice coming from the brooch in her hair.
Deep inside the room, a small tree-man sat cross-legged on the moss, deep in thought.
Its hair was adorned with tiny white flowers, and vines cascaded down its shoulders. What was once a small corner had now grown into a forest.
The ancient tree was dark and its top was invisible.
Outside the door, a fresh breeze was blowing in.
"Good evening."
When Wizard Green appeared, the three little ones screamed and tumbled into the room.
Fortunately, the room was full of vines, which pushed them so that they could lie on the floor and look up at that handsome, fair face wearing a pointed hat.
"Wizard Grimm, we've been waiting for you for so long!"
Sarah said softly.
She saw those doors instantly retract, transforming into decorations on the wizarding books before her.
The dust and snowflakes that were stirred up were still floating in the air.
Sarah tried to catch the snowflakes with her tongue, but the wizard Grimm gently carried her away.
"Good evening, Wizard Grimm."
Zoe gave a very ladylike bow, then took Sarah, who was being carried to her.
Sheen looked at the three little wheat geese, already used to it.
At McGonagall Farm, what I saw most were not the various animals or the nursery, but the three little McGons who would knock on the door day and night.
"Did you buy any magical items in Diagon Alley?"
He looked at the book, thought for a moment, and asked a question.
There was nothing at all.
Sarah puffed out her cheeks.
"Diagon Alley is under martial law."
Bud added dejectedly.
"Grandpa Marcus, who was limping, could only lead us around the doorway."
Even Zoe looked disappointed.
Sheen also pondered the increasingly bizarre attacks that had been occurring recently.
After the Ministry of Magic took action, those forces seemed to go into hiding for a while, but they were still operating covertly.
Those guys, they seem to really want to blend into the wizarding community.
This is exactly what happened in Diagon Alley: a witch was horrified to discover that her husband, who worked at the Ministry of Magic, was no longer her husband.
Literally, someone replaced him.
After being exposed, the dark wizard brutally harmed her in Diagon Alley, but fortunately the Aurors arrived quickly enough using the Anywhere Door and the Magic Mirror to prevent any casualties.
A report floated out of Sheen's hand; it was the purple pamphlet that the Ministry of Magic had been publishing ever since.
The text printed on it is eye-catching:
Authorized publication by the Ministry of Magic.
Protect you and your family from black magic.
The wizarding world is currently threatened by an evil organization.
Following these simple safety guidelines will help protect yourself, your family, and your home from attacks.
1. Do not leave home alone.
2. Be extra careful at night, and try to return before dark if you go out.
3. Check the security measures around the house and make sure the whole family knows some emergency measures, such as using the Ironclad Charm or the Disappearance Charm. Underage children in the family should learn to appear.
4. Agree on a security code with relatives and friends to identify evil forces using compound decoctions to impersonate others (see case on page 2).
5. If you notice any unusual behavior from a family member, colleague, friend, or neighbor, contact the Magical Law Enforcement Team immediately. They may have been subjected to the Imperius Curse (see page 4).
6. If an unknown mark appears on any residence or building, do not enter; contact the Auror office immediately.
7. Unconfirmed reports suggest that evil forces may now be using vaginas (see page 10). If you see or encounter a vagina, please report it to the Ministry of Magic immediately.
Quidditch World Cup —
Sheen had a vague premonition.
Voldemort would make a big move at the Quidditch World Cup. At that time, the Ministry of Magic would be mostly focused on hiding the wizarding community. If Voldemort wanted to accomplish something, that would be an excellent opportunity.
It's highly unlikely that Voldemort himself is coming; Dumbledore is definitely watching closely.
But perhaps?
Perhaps Voldemort went mad, and Dumbledore was simply distracted?
Sheehan believed that, at least at that time, he should have had the ability to briefly contend with Voldemort.
"The Wizard of Grimm—"
The candlelight illuminated several shy, expectant faces.
The stunned wizard snapped out of his daze.
Gently take out some tempting cookies.
