Chapter 607, Section 605: Grindelwald in the Suburbs
"Sarah is a cat—"
A few moments later, several cats burst out of the room.
He wore a talking pendant on his chest, and was accompanied by two flapping owls.
Sheen saw the three little wheat squares running faster and faster, and then with a "whoosh," Sarah suddenly disappeared from the spot. Sheen sat up and saw Sarah appear in the tree.
"Magic Riot".
Sheen thought so.
Sarah is going to become a wizard.
As evil lurked, Sheen never imagined that such a scene would unfold before his eyes.
"Sarah!"
From afar, Sheen could hear Marcus's excited and energetic shout.
Even though he hadn't shown any expression before, he couldn't help but slightly raise the corners of his mouth.
We are fighting for the possibility that such things can still happen.
He closed the door and gripped his wand tightly once more.
SEE3NE
After Sarah displayed her magical talent, two wizards from the McGonagall family followed suit.
This is quite unusual.
Keep in mind that their parents are both Muggles.
But that's how it happened, and it happened beautifully.
This has led to several of the little rascals now constantly wanting to pester Sheen, hoping the wizard will teach them some interesting magic.
Sheen diligently taught the wizards the Glowing Charm, and for a rare period of time he was undisturbed.
The little devils are all figuring out how to light up their wands.
On a sunny morning, the warm sunlight streamed onto the villa windows.
Sheen’s door was knocked on again.
"The Wizard of Grimm!"
"The Wizard of Grimm!"
The knocking was urgent.
The door opened automatically.
The few little wizards who had been crowding the doorway made their appearance once again in a rolling fashion.
Someone is looking for you!
Sarah was the first to stand up, clutching her head, the bow behind her trembling.
"He was a wizard who lived in the suburbs."
Zoe added, her eyes lighting up.
He said he's inviting you to be his guest.
"I said in a muffled voice."
Sheen stood up from the window and saw Zoe solemnly handing over a dusty book as if presenting a treasure.
Sheen was stunned the moment he saw the book title.
What is this?
Unveiling the Secrets of Cutting-Edge Black Magic —
As is widely known, the book revealing the secrets of cutting-edge black magic is the Dark Lord's designated reading material.
Zoe could only have received this book from a dark lord.
"Oh, he's a wizard named Grindelwald, he is..."
"Zovie said in a low voice."
"Hmm—he is a very—great wizard."
Sheen hesitated for a second.
"He said he's waiting for you in that house in the suburbs. Do you know that house? It's by the mountain, by the water, and—ah, two enormous trees!"
It's not easy to understand a specific place from the mouth of a young child.
But Sheen still found the house.
To be precise, it's a manor.
Surrounded by mountains and backed by a stream, two enormous ancient trees stand in front of the iron gate.
After entering through the main gate, Sheen soon arrived at the entrance hall.
He raised his hand to knock, but the door opened by itself.
The heart of the estate is a three-story building with sharp, angular corners.
The castle was surrounded by red roses that bloomed like burning flames, defying the natural order of the season.
The flowerbeds were meticulously trimmed, and the geometrically patterned lawn was as smooth as velvet.
Do you like it here?
A boastful voice drifted over from afar, and Sheen could see Grindelwald standing in the very center of the flowerbed, staring at Sheen with an aggressive gaze.
Good morning, Professor Grindelwald.
Although puzzled as to why Grindelwald had come here, Sheen still greeted him respectfully.
Look here.
Grindelwald drew closer, his steps steady and powerful. "There are no boring lectures from Hogwarts, no redundant rules from those idiots at the Ministry of Magic. Here, power is respected, and talent is unleashed, not suppressed or feared."
He walked very close, close enough that Sheen could smell the cedar and some unknown spice on him.
He extended his finger and brushed it very lightly over a button on Sheen's robe.
"I've been watching you."
He whispered, “I’ve never seen such a talent, and it shouldn’t be buried in a pile of outdated dogma. They’ll tell you it’s a dangerous path, a forbidden power. But tell me—”
He leaned down slightly to look at Sheen at eye level, and Sheen's image was reflected in his eyes.
"—Do you crave power?"
Sheen remained silent.
He only desires the power to be mastered.
Given enough time, he can master all the powers that wizards can master.
He silently looked up.
Grindelwald seems to have changed.
Previously at Hogwarts, he was full of probing, and even showed a hint of hostility when they first met.
Sheehan assumed that the Dark Lord was influenced by Headmaster Dumbledore.
But now Sheehan believes that his considerations may have been flawed. At that time, Grindelwald may have indeed been influenced by Headmaster Dumbledore, but it was more of a limitation on his true intentions.
"Headmaster Dumbledore and Professor Snape told me that I should be cautious in my studies of the Dark Arts."
Sheen did not give a direct response.
"Useless shackles—only weak wizards are unable to control their magic and are affected by dark magic. Grimm, are you weak?"
Grindelwald's lips curled into a smile.
Sheen fell silent for a moment.
His understanding of black magic was the weakest, and he did not believe he could argue with a wizard who had reached the pinnacle of black magic.
He felt it was better to listen, but whether he believed it or not was up to him.
"Heh—looking at him, Grindelwald's lips curled into a smile again. 'You'll always crave it,'"
His voice held a hint of amusement, "From now on, you'll learn from me, understand?"
Sheen nodded excitedly.
This is what he wanted.
"Open that book and listen."
Grindelwald bent down and sat down, his stool made of some harmless flames.
Sheen looked at the flames with curiosity. The temperature around them was rising rapidly, but Grindelwald was completely unaffected.
Sheen tried to sense the magical circuits within, but to no avail.
That was something different from common black magic.
"Black magic is magic driven by malice, with the sole purpose of harm. It is often believed to corrupt the user's soul."
Grindelwald chuckled. "I don't disagree with that. But most of the time, ignorance blinds wizards, making them narrow-minded and sensitive."
Sheen's quill flew rapidly.
"But they always forget that magic and wizards are born with it—yet dark magic is condemned as a sinner?"
Grindelwald's gaze was sharp.
