In the kitchen, warm light shone on Selena and Xiao Xian. Selena stood in front of the counter, holding a kitchen knife, seemingly focused on chopping vegetables.

However, Selena's attention was actually entirely on Xiao Xian. She would occasionally touch Xiao Xian's arm lightly with her fingertips, or get very close, so that he could almost feel her body temperature.

"Are you serious?" Selena finally found her voice and asked in a low voice, "When did Bruce develop this kind of hobby?"

Xiao Xian nodded, a hint of amusement flashing in his eyes. "Of course. Don't you feel that everything is different?"

Selena's hand trembled slightly, and she almost dropped the cleaver. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself, but her mind was in turmoil. She had always thought she was playing cards with Bruce, but the truth was completely different.

"No wonder Bruce suddenly improved so much, and we had such great teamwork when we played cards this afternoon. So that's why," Selena muttered to herself. No wonder she'd felt something was off these past two days.

Selena was also extremely angry at Bruce's behavior.

Xiao Xian smiled slightly and snapped his fingers lightly. In an instant, his entire demeanor underwent a dramatic transformation. His originally ordinary face instantly became incredibly handsome, with deep-set features and distinct lines, like a god who had stepped out of a painting.

Selena covered her mouth, staring at the incredibly handsome Xiao Xian before her, and couldn't help but jump up, exclaiming excitedly, "My God! My God!"

The instant Selena exclaimed in surprise, Xiao Xian snapped his fingers again, using magic to alter what Bruce heard outside the door. Bruce, unaware of anything amiss, remained pressed against the door, intently eavesdropping on the sounds inside.

After a moment, the agitated Selena calmed down. Realizing her lapse in composure and that Bruce was still eavesdropping outside, she lowered her head awkwardly and said softly, "I'm sorry, I was a little out of line just now."

Xiao Xian smiled and shook his head, saying gently, "It's alright, Selena. I've used magic to change what Bruce heard; he won't know about our conversation."

"Xiao Xian, you're really amazing." Selena's eyes were practically sparkling, and she was practically pressed against Xiao Xian, her hands wandering downwards.

Xiao Xian felt Selena's hands begin to wander restlessly over his body, so he gently grasped her hand, smiled, and said, "It's nothing." After saying that, Xiao Xian snapped his fingers, and his whole demeanor returned to that of an ordinary handsome man.

Seeing this, Selena grabbed Xiao Xian's arm coquettishly, her eyes shining with pleading: "Xiao Xian, change back, I like the way you were just now."

Xiao Xian smiled slightly and shook his head: "This is a paid service, Selena."

Selena immediately took off the necklace from her chest and handed it to Xiao Xian: "Here, take this. This is a family heirloom of the Wayne family, priceless."
