Chapter 285 Farewell to Bruce

Over the next few days, Bruce witnessed firsthand Bin's initiative and enthusiasm for work. However, some of his disguises were far too sloppy. It would be difficult for someone as dignified as Bruce Wayne, Batman, and the Dark Knight of Gotham to pretend not to notice.

If it weren't for the fact that it was genuinely exciting and thrilling, Bruce Wayne would have stopped pretending long ago.

That noon, Bruce Wayne was sitting in his computer chair, creating a 3D video of Selena and Xiao Xian playing cards based on his experiences over the past few days, when a video call request on his computer screen suddenly broke the moment of tranquility. He pressed the accept button, and Aquaman's image appeared on the screen.

Bruce's face showed a hint of displeasure, and he said directly, "Several days have passed. You had better tell me that you have made progress and come to report to me."

Aquaman looked tired and complained, "I can't handle Mera at all. She absolutely refuses to help and insists on having a detailed talk with you to figure out what Wayne Enterprises, a land-based human company, has to offer to trade with Atlantis."

After listening, Bruce pondered for a moment, then nodded and said, "Alright, then bring Mera over for negotiations. We'll work together to persuade Mera."

Aquaman showed a hint of gratitude: "Thank you, Bruce. I'll arrange to go find you with Mera as soon as possible."

Bruce hung up the video call and quickly got up and left the office. He went to the bedroom, intending to change his clothes and then go to the company to arrange for the arrival of Aquaman and Mera.

The moment Bruce pushed open the bedroom door, he noticed that the scene inside was somewhat different from usual. Selena wasn't in the room, and sitting behind his usual boss's desk was Xiao Xian.

Bruce Wayne frowned, about to reprimand Xiao Xian for leaving his seat, but Xiao Xian shook his head at him and then pointed under the table.

Bruce's gaze followed Xiao Xian's directions, passing through the gap between the boss's table and the floor, and he saw the soles of Selena's familiar high heels.

A surge of excitement rushed through Bruce's mind. He subconsciously swallowed, his eyes fixed on Selena's high heels. The soles of the heels swayed rhythmically back and forth, as if silently conveying some kind of message. Bruce's heart began to race even faster.

A dozen minutes later, Selena slowly emerged from under the table. She tidied her messy hair, and the moment she looked up, she met Bruce's deep and focused eyes.

"How long have you been here?" Selena's voice was a little nervous, trying to hide her unease.

Bruce quickly composed himself, offering a gentle smile, and said casually, "I just arrived."

Selena breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this, patted her chest lightly, and smiled with a hint of reassurance. "Oh, is that so?" But her voice sounded very certain. "I just dropped my phone, I was just crouching down to pick it up. Don't overthink it."

Bruce nodded, maintaining a gentle expression. "I didn't think much of it. It's okay."

Bruce then said to Selena, "I need to change my clothes and then go to the company to arrange for Aquaman and Mera to visit us."

Selena nodded, about to say she would let Bruce go, when Xiao Xian approached her and whispered a few words in her ear. Selena's expression changed slightly, then she said to Bruce, "Bruce, I suddenly remembered something, so I might not be able to see you off."

Bruce looked at her, his gentle smile still on his face. "It's alright, darling. I can go by myself." However, his heart was filled with excitement because of Xiao Xian's whisper and Selena's reaction, and he was filled with anticipation.

"Alright then, be careful." Selena gave an apologetic smile.

Bruce nodded, turned, and left the bedroom. He changed into a neat suit, straightened his tie, and headed towards the garage. His anticipation made each step feel light and quick.

Sure enough, Bruce's phone vibrated shortly after. He glanced down and saw it was a message from Xiao Xian. The message read: "Selena and I will see you off from the bedroom window."

Then Xiao Xian posted a photo of Bruce's bedroom window, followed by another message.

"While you're at it, I'll clean the windows for you."

This message made Bruce's heart race. He quickly grabbed his phone and headed for the garage, his emotions pounding.

Bruce started the engine and slowly drove his sports car out of the manor. His gaze involuntarily drifted towards the bedroom window. Sure enough, Selena stood there, watching him leave through the huge floor-to-ceiling window. However, the scene that immediately came into view made Bruce's breath catch in his throat.

Selena pressed herself against the window, while Xiao Xian stood behind her.

At this moment, Selena bit her red lips, her face showing a mixture of pain and excitement, and her body swayed slightly with Xiao Xian's movements.

This scene sent a rush of energy through Bruce's body, his heart pounding. He felt a surge of intense excitement and exhilaration burning in his chest. Meanwhile, Selena's gaze remained fixed on the direction of Bruce's sports car.

Back at the company, Bruce Wayne sat in his office, somewhat distracted by his subordinates' reports. Although the atmosphere in the meeting room was tense, and everyone was focused on discussing company affairs, Bruce's thoughts drifted back to the scene before he left the manor.

The interaction between Selena and Xiao Xian, and the way they acted as he left, left Bruce unsettled. "Maybe no other servants saw this," Bruce couldn't help but think.

As Xiao Xian and Selena's behavior has become increasingly open and transparent in recent days, Bruce's pleasure threshold has been gradually rising. Simple stimuli from before, such as Selena lying on the phone that she was going for a run, or a regular massage, no longer satisfy him.

Bruce was now craving more intense stimulation, like the excitement he felt from Selena and Xiao Xian's actions when he left the manor.

Bruce couldn't deny that one reason he felt excited and thrilled was the possibility that other servants might also witness the scene; this public danger thrilled and excited him. Despite the danger, it was precisely this sense of danger that made Bruce feel more real and intense.

Today, while handling business at the office, Bruce suddenly understood why Harry Osborne decided to release that movie filled with ambiguous scenes between Mary Jane and Shaw. Bruce also understood why Harry Osborne made a cameo appearance as the victim of the same name in the film.

Bruce Wayne's thoughts were still wandering when a subordinate's words suddenly caught his attention. He looked up, focusing intently on the subordinate: "What did you just say?"

The man paused for a moment, clearly nervous, and said in a weak voice, "Therefore, I think we need to increase the budget."

Bruce shook his head, a hint of urgency in his voice: "No, I meant the sentence you just mentioned."

The man pondered for a moment, then replied, "Since Mr. Aquaman is attending with his wife, I suggest you bring Mrs. Wayne along, as is customary."

Bruce's eyes lit up, he snapped his fingers, and said excitedly, "No problem! I'll have Selena come with me."
