Chapter 286: No more pretense, the truth comes out.

Bruce Wayne drove back to Wayne Manor. As soon as he stepped through the gate, perhaps due to his own mind, he sensed something was amiss. The servants' eyes seemed to be secretly following him, but whenever he turned to look at them, their gazes appeared perfectly normal.

However, instead of angering Bruce, all of this excited him immensely. Bruce felt his heart racing and his blood boiling.

Bruce thoroughly enjoyed this feeling, this dangerous yet thrilling emotion. He knew that Selena and Xiao Xian's relationship was no longer a secret between the three of them, but was gradually spreading throughout the entire manor. This public relationship was exactly the ultimate thrill that Bruce craved.

However, Bruce quickly realized that every servant at Wayne Manor had signed a strict confidentiality agreement.

With these agreements in place, unless it's a criminal case where someone is bursting with a sense of justice and acts as a champion of justice, no one with a sound mind would leak the privacy of Wayne Manor.

Thinking of this, Bruce felt a sense of relief. After all, with these agreements in place, Selena and Xiao Xian's relationship wouldn't be easily leaked. The servants all understood that any leak would have serious consequences.

However, along with this sense of relief came a faint disappointment. Bruce realized that because of these agreements, although the servants might gossip about it within the manor, they would ultimately not let their words spread beyond its walls.

This means that although Selena and Xiao Xian's relationship has become public and transparent within the manor, it is ultimately still confined to this small area.

Moreover, even within this small area, the news might not have spread far, since few of the servants at Wayne Manor would dare to stare at Bruce Wayne's bedroom window.

Bruce sat in his office, lost in thought. He decided to learn more about what was happening at the estate. He dialed the internal line, and shortly after, Harley Quinn walked in.

"Euclid Wood," Bruce began, a hint of anticipation in his voice, "have there been any rumors circulating at the manor lately about Bin and Selena's relationship?"

Harley frowned, then shook her head, slightly puzzled. "Never heard of him, Mr. Wayne."

Bruce, hearing this, leaned back in his chair, somewhat disappointed, and sighed softly. Harley noticed his change in mood, raised an eyebrow, and said jokingly, "Should I spread the word?"

Bruce paused for a moment, thought for a while, and then shook his head. "Of course not."

After Bruce finished speaking, he continued, "So, how do you usually clean up the mess after Bin and Selena finish playing cards?"

Harley replied, "Sometimes they clean up by themselves, and sometimes I help them."

Bruce thought for a moment, looked at Harley, and said slowly, "Next time they ask you to clean up, don't do it. Let the maids handle it."

A flicker of surprise crossed Harley's eyes, followed by a sly smile: "So, after we're done cleaning up, should we silence them?"

"This question isn't meant to force me to say things I don't want to say," Bruce glared at Harley with some displeasure. "No need."

Harley nodded to indicate that she understood, then picked up her phone and laughed, "What a coincidence, they're calling me to clean right now."

Bruce smiled slightly and nodded. "Let the other maids go. By the way, where are they playing cards?"

Harley glanced at her phone and then replied, "In your office, on your desk, your chair, and on the dining table."

Bruce's lips twitched slightly after hearing this. Goodness, these are all places that are usually inconvenient to visit, so they're taking advantage of his absence to check in like crazy, huh?

Furthermore, Bruce will now find it difficult to look directly at the dining table when he eats.

Bruce couldn't help but ask, "Why are there dining tables? Aren't those areas always busy with people?"

Harley shrugged, a helpless expression on her face. "Selena is the mistress of the manor. Clearing out an area and preventing servants from entering is a piece of cake for her."

Bruce shook his head, feeling somewhat helpless, but mostly a secret excitement.

"Alright," Bruce said, "then do as I say and let the maids handle it."

Soon, news that Bruce had been away for an afternoon and that there were "signs of battle" everywhere in his office and other places spread among the servants of the manor. The whispers among the servants quickly spread throughout the manor, becoming a popular topic of conversation during their leisure time.

The following evening, when Bruce returned to Wayne Manor, exhausted but excited after a long day's work, the atmosphere was somewhat unusual. Even the lowest-ranking servants looked at Bruce with a noticeable change in their gaze. Along the way, Bruce noticed many people whispering among themselves, and when he looked over, these servants quickly stopped talking and hurriedly bowed their heads in greeting.

Bruce wasn't angry at all; on the contrary, he thoroughly enjoyed it. He felt incredibly pleased with himself, and his steps became lighter. The servants' gazes and whispers gave him a strange sense of excitement.

Bruce understood that most of the gossip revolved around the relationship between Selena and Xiao Xian. Every whisper, every stolen glance, added to his pleasure. The thrill of this open secret was exactly what he craved.

Bruce entered the hall and saw several servants cleaning. Upon seeing him, they immediately stopped what they were doing and bowed respectfully, but the complex emotions in their eyes did not escape Bruce's notice. Bruce smiled slightly, nodded to them to continue, and felt an even stronger sense of satisfaction.

In the corridor, a maid saw Bruce arrive with a beaming smile, and immediately hurried forward, whispering mysteriously to him, "Mr. Wayne, I must tell you something. There's something improper going on between Ah Bin and Mrs. Selena."

Bruce frowned slightly, but a surge of excitement welled up inside him. He looked at the maid with feigned seriousness and said coldly, "Don't spread these outrageous rumors." Bruce's tone carried a hint of warning and displeasure.

The maid lowered her head, startled by Bruce's reaction, her voice trembling slightly: "But, sir, I saw them with my own eyes—"

Bruce interrupted her, his tone even harsher: "I told you, stop spreading these baseless rumors. You're only disrupting the harmony of the manor."

The maid turned pale and hurriedly nodded, "I'm sorry, sir, I know I was wrong."

Bruce stared at her coldly and continued, "You've lost your bonus this month. Don't let me hear anything like that again."

The maid replied in a low voice, "Yes, sir." Then she hurriedly retreated, not daring to say anything more.

After reprimanding the maid, Bruce Wayne hummed a song as he slowly walked towards his bedroom, each step leisurely, giving the person inside ample time to react.

However, the sight that Bruce Wayne saw the moment he opened the door made him pause slightly. Xiao Xian was still sitting casually in his usual seat, while Selena was squatting in front of him, busy with something.

Seeing Bruce return, Selena slowly got up and calmly said to him, "Honey, you're back."
