My tamed beasts can't be demons.

Chapter 33 What kind of exam is this?! (23, please continue reading!)

After walking a hundred meters forward, the red-tailed fox appeared in front of Zhou Lu.

It walked gracefully along the path covered with red leaves, its fur soft and beautiful, its red tail swaying as it swept the fallen leaves off its body to the ground.

This is the Red-tailed Fox's normal state. When it enters battle mode, red, high-temperature flames appear on its tail, and its eyes also turn red.

The red-tailed fox is a very alert species.

Zhou Lu could only proceed cautiously, hiding behind rocks to avoid the red-tailed fox's sight whenever it turned around.

The distribution of these stones is also recorded in detail in the setting book. When Zhou Lu was preparing for the exam, he had already decided which stones he would hide behind to approach the Red-Tailed Fox more quickly and secretly.

Just like everyone else's exam, Zhou Lu's actions in the simulated secret realm were also broadcast live on a large screen, which all the students waiting for the exam could see.

Some students who failed the exam did not rush to leave, but stayed to watch Zhou Lu's exam.

They were eagerly anticipating Zhou Lu's failure more than anyone else. It was as if if Zhou Lu failed, they wouldn't feel like they had failed so badly.

Look, even geniuses who get perfect scores haven't passed the test, so it's probably normal that I haven't passed either, right?

"He actually let his spirit pet go its own way? How naive." Someone muttered in the quiet hall.

This statement actually reflects the sentiments of many people.

In the secret realm, they usually wish they could stay with their spirit pets all the time. How could they let their spirit pets act alone like Zhou Lu did, sneaking out on his own?

Moreover, how does he plan to lure the red-tailed fox out of the Red Leaf Forest?

When Zhou Lu reached the edge of the Red Leaf Forest, everyone held their breath.

But Zhou Lu did not rush to carry out his plan; he waited.

Hanabi doesn't currently have any skills that allow her vines to accelerate.

Considering that Red-tailed Fox's dash skill can instantly close the distance between them, Zhou Lu needs to give Hanabi enough time to use the [Earth Escape] skill to lay out enough pre-buried branches on the flat ground between the forest and the lake.

It's almost time.

Zhou Lu estimated the time in his mind, and then took out a lighter from his pocket.

Wait a minute! Why are you carrying a lighter?!

The moment Zhou Lu pulled out his lighter, everyone watching the exam was stunned.

What's this kid planning to do? Light a cigarette for the red-tailed fox with a lighter?

Then they saw Zhou Lu use a lighter to set fire to some fallen leaves not far away.

The leaves of the red maple tree were instantly set ablaze.

The next second, with the leaf that Zhou Lu lit as the center, a surging flame rapidly spread outwards into the distance.

boom!

The leaves of red maple trees are rich in oil, and their highly flammable structure, when piled up and ignited, creates an effect similar to burning willow catkins.

The raging flames ignited all the fallen leaves in the Red Leaf Forest, and the flames climbed up the trees, eventually setting the entire Red Leaf Forest ablaze.

no……

Is this guy planning to burn the red-tailed fox to death?

Using fire to burn a fire-type spirit beast? Isn't that a bit too far-fetched?

Are these the only two perfect scores in this year's preliminary combat test?

"puff."

For a moment, someone couldn't hold back and burst out laughing.

The laughter seemed to be highly contagious, immediately triggering laughter from everyone.

Some people have even started posting on the forum using their phones.

[Oh no! Someone tried to burn a fire-type spirit beast to death during the exploration certificate exam!]

In reality, burning a fire-type spirit beast to death isn't entirely unbelievable, but it requires your spirit beast to have an absolute and overwhelming power difference over the enemy.

Anyway, this kind of thing could never happen in the exploration certificate exam.

Do we really think that the Sword God of Shili Slope can still exist in this era?

Zhou Lu was unaware of the commotion outside. Looking at the raging fire in front of him, he couldn't help but think to himself: This red maple tree seems even more exaggerated than the information I found online, it's burning so fast.

As a fire-type spirit beast, the Red-tailed Fox was naturally unaffected by the sudden fire.

It strolled lightly through the flames.

This environment even made it feel more comfortable.

only……

The maple leaves that filled the sky were burned to ashes, and the black ash fell from the sky.

Ashes fell from the sky, and the red-tailed fox was inevitably covered in them.

So dirty! So dirty! So dirty!

The red-tailed fox showed a look of disgust.

Even wild red-tailed foxes are known for their cleanliness among spirit beasts, let alone spirit pets.

Looking at the dust on its body, the red-tailed fox shook itself in annoyance.

Although it was useful, it was quickly covered by new ashes.

We need to get out of here quickly.

The red-tailed fox looked in Zhou Lu's direction.

Human presence cannot escape the perception of spirit beasts.

The moment the red-tailed fox set its sights on him, Zhou Lu's hair stood on end, and he gripped the vines of the firework tightly.

But the red-tailed fox only glanced at Zhou Lu before turning away and walking towards the lakeside.

It doesn't have time to deal with this human right now.

I need to hurry and wash myself by the lake.

So dirty! So dirty! So dirty!

Thinking this, the red-tailed fox quickened its pace and rushed towards the lake.

The laughter in the hall abruptly stopped as the red-tailed fox rushed out of the red maple forest and headed towards the lake.

This is no exaggeration.

Some people actually choked up because their emotions shifted so quickly from mockery to surprise.

Many more people were shocked and confused.

Wait, how did setting a fire force the Red-tailed Fox out? Are fire-type spirit beasts really afraid of fire?

The red-tailed fox rushed to the lakeside and carefully prepared to clean its fur with water.

As a fire-type spirit beast, it ultimately dislikes water, and besides, it's currently taking exams...

"Fireworks!" Zhou Lu shouted decisively the moment Red-tailed Fox hesitated.

Fireworks moved faster than Zhou Lu gave the order.

Countless vines stretched out from the branches of the fireworks planted by the lake, winding their way toward the red-tailed fox.

The red-tailed fox stumbled and was pulled directly into the lake by Hanabi.

boom!

Blazing flames erupted from the red-tailed fox's tail, scorching the fireworks' vines.

The red-tailed fox leaped out of the water in a disheveled state, roaring angrily at Hanabi.

But what greeted it was a vine covered in sticky firework.

The red-tailed fox tried to use the same trick again, burning the vines with flames, but to its surprise, the vines showed no signs of being affected by the high temperature.

The sticky baby's mucus effectively protected the firework's vines.

Rub the fox! Rub the fox!

Seeing that she had caught a beautiful fox, Hanabi immediately became interested and quickly used the skills she had learned to pack the fox up.

The red-tailed fox had never suffered such humiliation, and it opened its mouth as if to use its skills to give Hanabi a barbecue.

Hmm? What's this jar?

Red-tailed Fox saw Fireworks pull a steel can out of the flowerpot.

Sizzle—!

Fireworks opened the fire extinguisher and sprayed Red-Tailed Fox's face.

The new generation of Sticky Baby fire extinguishers is highly efficient; it not only extinguished the fire in the red-tailed fox's mouth but also put out the fire on its tail.

No way! Why are fire extinguishers allowed during exams?!

Everyone was stunned by what they saw.

How can you take an exam like that?
