My tamed beasts can't be demons.

Chapter 5 Is your skill even legitimate?

Looking at the extra Fairy Coins on his phone, a strange feeling welled up in Zhou Lu's heart.

Fairy coins! One fairy coin can buy a basic skill from a knowledgeable fairy, and three fairy coins can even buy a spirit beast cub with good growth potential on the market.

Wu Xiaoqing directly gave Zhou Lu five fairy coins, which was a huge sum of money in this era. It's unknown how many original papers she published to accumulate this wealth.

"Thanks……"

"No need to thank me right away." Wu Xiaoqing winked at Zhou Lu. "Consider this a loan; you'll have to pay me back later."

There was no repayment deadline. Given their relationship, this is basically a loan, but calling it a loan would be a way to protect Zhou Lu's pride.

Zhou Lu opened his mouth, about to say something, when he heard a clear sound from the side.

The two looked over almost simultaneously.

Fireworks stretched out vines to bind the unconscious Xiaoxi, and swung her around there.

Zhou Lu covered his face.

Is this truly the final rose that will fool fate in the future?

[Ding! Mission failed.]

You attempted to kill the knowledgeable fairy Xiaoxi, but the mission ultimately failed.

But your actions deserve praise.

You have received 1% of the mission reward. Please check your account.

The system has reset this task. Please try again.

Well, this firework brought Zhou Lu three more bottles of low-level growth potions.

"I'm sorry! It was my fault." After being rescued, Xiaoxi hid behind Wu Xiaoqing with teary eyes. In her eyes, Huahuo had become a demon. "I shouldn't have gone over to examine her."

As a well-rounded fairy, Xiaoxi would usually examine the spirit beast's body carefully when a beast tamer was preparing to purchase skills, so as to arrange the most suitable skill set for the other party to choose from.

When she heard Wu Xiaoqing ask Zhou Lu to buy skills, she naturally went to check on Hanabi's body out of habit. Little did she know that Hanabi would react so strongly and knock her unconscious.

Damn it! Is Meng Yuhua really that strong?

Xiaoxi fell into a state of despair, feeling like she couldn't even defeat a blade of grass.

"Teacher Xiaoxi, could you recommend a few skills for Xiaolu's spirit beast?" Wu Xiaoqing said, cradling Xiaoxi in her hands.

With her back against the soft mountain slopes, Xiaoxi's sorrowful heart finally found some solace. She glanced at Huahuo and said, "Plant spirit beasts in their metamorphosis stage don't have many skills to choose from. It all depends on the role you envision for it in the future."

The spirit beasts in this world are divided into five stages: metamorphosis, growth, maturity, quasi-godhood, and true godhood. Of course, the latter two are generally impossible to achieve; ordinary spirit beasts have already reached their limit by reaching maturity.

Before the metamorphosis period, creatures generally lack intelligence and extraordinary power, and are not considered spirit beasts, but merely ordinary plants and animals. Once they enter the metamorphosis period, almost every spirit beast will master the racial skills of its own species. These skills cannot be learned, and are therefore the most core skills of a spirit beast, as well as one of the criteria used by beast tamers to select spirit beasts.

As for the skills that can be purchased from the knowledgeable fairies, they are all ordinary skills that any spirit beast that meets the requirements can learn. The requirements for spirit beasts are nothing more than level and attributes.

Plant-type spirit beasts naturally prioritize grass-type skills, which can be further categorized into offensive, defensive, and support types. This is why Xiaoxi asked Zhou Lu about the role of Fireworks.

"I plan to train Hanabi as my main force," Zhou Lu said confidently after glancing at Hanabi.

If he used to think about spending his life lying down, now he can be said to be full of confidence in the future.

Hanabi seemed to sense that this conversation concerned her fate, and tilted her "head" up to listen carefully.

Upon hearing Zhou Lu's words, Wu Xiaoqing opened her mouth, but ultimately remained silent. This was Zhou Lu's choice, and she should respect it.

"You have chosen a very difficult path." As a fellow plant spirit beast, Xiao Xi naturally knew the disadvantages of using plant spirit beasts as the main force, but she still admired Zhou Lu's choice.

As she spoke, she traced her fingers across the air in front of her, and two cards appeared in front of Zhou Lu.

"These two are essential C-rank skills for grass-type spirit beasts: [Stem Run] and [Wild Growth]. They are the foundation of all offensive grass-type skills," Xiaoxi explained.

Each C-rank skill requires one Fairy Coin.

"Although I have other skills here, it's best to let your spirit beast practice these two skills until it's proficient before you come here to buy other skills."

Zhou Lu nodded and, after paying with Fairy Coins, took the two cards from Xiao Xi.

【Stem Extension】: C-rank skill (Grass type only). Extends a stem and grows roots to attach to the nearest object. An independent plant branch can grow from the attachment point. The main body can actively sever the connection between itself and the plant branch. (The branch is affected by 【Wild Growth】.

【Wild Growth】: C-rank skill (Grass type only), causes all or part of the spirit beast's body to enter a wild growth state, and the form returns to the initial state after the skill is deactivated.

Using skill cards is very simple; just point them at the spirit beast and click to use them.

It is said that this technique originated from the ancient legends of immortals passing on their skills. After being modified by modern technology, it has been simplified into a card that allows you to transfer skills with a simple click.

The moment Zhou Lu clicked the card, it turned into specks of light and flowed into Hanabi's body.

Firework's leaves trembled, and for a moment, it seemed to have the illusion that it had grown a brain.

The puzzled little grass swayed its leaves, and its green runners spread wildly from its roots, attaching themselves to the laboratory floor.

"It seems your spirit beast is quite talented," Xiaoxi commented. "You should train it well..."

Before she could finish speaking, she froze, looking as if she had seen a ghost.

Fireworks attached two runners to the ground, and then used the runners for support to lift its entire body, including the flowerpot, up.

After swaying and stabilizing itself, the plant offshoot that had just grown on the runner split off again and grew forward under the effect of [wild growth].

The moment the new runners attached to the ground in front of her, Hanabi retracted the old runners, then canceled the "wild growth" mode on that part, and actually moved her entire body forward a distance.

With the combination of these two skills, Hanabi achieved a walking-like effect even during her transformation period.

Xiaoxi has never seen this before.

Wu Xiaoqing, who was standing to the side, also opened her mouth in shock.

However, Hanabi ultimately failed to master the technique of switching between the two skills. After wobbling forward a few steps, she lost her balance and crashed heavily to the ground, flowerpot and all.

boom!

The flowerpot shattered the moment it touched the ground, spilling dark brown soil all over the ground, while the snow-white roots of the flowerpot were faintly visible among the soil.

The impact threw everything out of the flowerpot.

Three brightly colored mushrooms, several bottles of potions that looked ominous, and a pair of underwear that wasn't even as big as a thumb?

Holy crap! When did you collect all of this?

Xiao Xi glanced at her lower body subconsciously, then seemed to sense something, quickly pressing her hands against her skirt. Her whole body turned bright red in a short time, and her expression towards Zhou Lu became very strange.

A bead of cold sweat trickled down Zhou Lu's forehead.

Fireworks! Don't bring any weird or strange things!

New author, new book, please read it! This is really important to me!
