Douluo Continent: Starting by controlling the Holy Maiden of the Holy Spirit Cult

Chapter 83 Let's just forget about this reward.

Huo Yuhao shrugged at the group of teachers, "Sorry, it's due to my personal charm."

Du Weilun rolled his eyes at the guy, clearly not wanting to continue the discussion on this issue. "Alright, now I'll announce the rewards for the top three teams in the freshman assessment. The top three teams will all receive a unified reward from the academy, and each member can request a spirit ring from the academy when they need one, and the academy will assist them in obtaining a spirit ring that is within their means and most suitable for them."

"Director, I feel that the next spirit ring requires hunting a 100,000-year-old spirit beast!" Xie Huanyue raised his hand, imitating Huo Yuhao's shameless manner.

Do you think a 100,000-year-old soul beast is like a cabbage growing in your backyard?

Du Weilun nearly choked with anger. He coughed lightly and continued, "In recognition of the outstanding performance and undefeated record of the champion Ning Tian team throughout the competition, the academy has decided to award them a special prize. This prize will be kept confidential by the academy. They can come with me to collect it after the class assignments are completed."

"Director, is the reward a soul bone? Do you have any 100,000-year-old soul bones?" Wu Feng, having learned the essence of Huo Yuhao's teachings, chuckled. Huo Yuhao had already mentioned the reward for the freshman assessment champion to them, but as far as ordinary soul bones were concerned, the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile School, where Ning Tian belonged, didn't even consider them worthwhile.

No student objected to Ning Tian and her companions receiving extra rewards. As the three girls advanced, they defeated the teams led by Soul Masters Dai Huabin and Xie Huanyue. Both of the new Soul Masters were defeated by them, so even if Huo Yuhao and his companions had deliberately held back, receiving more rewards was perfectly reasonable.

Then came the announcement of the list of those who had been granted the status of core disciples of the outer academy. Unlike the original story, Huo Yuhao's invincible strength as a new student had won over the entire academy's higher-ups, making obtaining the status of a mere core disciple a piece of cake.

Huo Yuhao listened and then smiled silently. Yes, Shrek Academy only cultivates new students with great potential. After entering the inner academy, they are instilled with the so-called Shrek Glory through a series of tasks, and the younger generation of the top forces on the continent are brainwashed into their henchmen.

Without a doubt, each member of the top three teams received a spot as a core disciple, including the three members of Dai Huabin's team, as well as some other promising newcomers.

To Huo Yuhao's surprise, Gou Luanshi, the one who violated the rules by using a soul tool to severely injure Xie Huanyue, also obtained a core disciple spot, albeit as a core disciple of the Soul Guidance Department.

Seeing Huo Yuhao turn his gaze to Gou Luanshi, who was excitedly gesturing, Ning Tian leaned close to his ear and said, "According to the information I obtained through my people, that Gou Luanshi should be the grandson of Gou Polan, the deputy city lord of Shrek City. The Chang'an team should be from the Shrek City Treasure Pavilion. Because of their great contributions to the academy over the years, they have all been exceptionally made core disciples of the outer academy, and they have not been held accountable for violating the assessment rules."

Huo Yuhao smiled and nodded. "It's good to be rich."

Ning Tianjiao snorted, feeling as if this guy was mocking her.

"So, can I live off her now?" Huo Yuhao asked with a mischievous grin, subtly grabbing her small hand.

"Can't you be serious for once?" Ning Tian blushed, but didn't break free, and muttered.

Next is the class division for the first year of the academy. The entire first year will be divided into four classes. Class 1 is mainly composed of offensive and control-type Soul Masters, Class 2 is mainly composed of defensive and agile-type Soul Masters, Class 3 is composed of support-type Soul Masters, and Class 4 is composed of Soul Masters and Weapon Soul Masters with various special attributes, including food-type and healing-type Soul Masters.

Undoubtedly, Class One is the strongest overall, with Huo Yuhao, Xie Huanyue, and Cui Yajie all assigned to this class. Class Two's strongest member is undoubtedly Chang Cheng'an, who excels in defense; his top-tier Golden White-Eyed Wolf spirit is truly unique. Class Three's support-type members don't all provide support, but rather refer to battle spirit masters and weapon spirit masters who can directly assist in battle. For example, Ning Tian, the owner of the Eight Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda spirit. As for Class Four, they consist of hybrid spirit masters. Relatively speaking, they don't have much combat power, but often possess remarkable abilities in specific areas, such as Ye Linlin from Dai Huabin's team during the assessment, whose main strengths are food and healing abilities.

At Shrek Academy, classes are divided in this way for almost every grade, except that the higher the grade, the fewer students are in each class. The academy's dropout rate has always been extremely high; even among the students who successfully graduate from the outer academy, no more than fifty students graduate each year. In other words, it would be quite good if twenty percent of the current three hundred-plus students made it to the end.

Next came the introduction of the homeroom teachers for each class. For Huo Yuhao, the only bad news was that Zhou Yi had become one of the homeroom teachers for Class 1 of the first year. Each class had two homeroom teachers, the other being Wang Yan, who highly valued Cao Jinxuan. Mu Jin, however, was assigned to Class 3, which primarily focused on support skills, for certain reasons.

Even Zhou Yi didn't know that Wang Yan, who was originally teaching older students, had come to Class 1 of the first grade because of Cao Jinxuan and was teaching with her.

"Alright, everyone, please return to the teaching building according to the latest class assignments, led by your respective homeroom teachers. Ning Tian, you three come with me to collect your extra prize for winning the championship," Director Du Weilun announced.

As the timeline converged, the three Ning Tian girls followed Du Weilun to his office to receive their reward, which turned out to be the left leg bone of the Void Demon Leopard. In Du Weilun's opinion, Nanmen Yun'er, who had the least presence among the three Ning Tian girls, was undoubtedly the most suitable person to absorb this soul bone. After her Jade Bird underwent a benign mutation, absorbing this soul bone would undoubtedly bring her a certain speed boost.

Afterwards, Mu Jin appeared and took the three women back to her office. She also gave them a soul bone as a reward, which was a secret technique soul bone. Obviously, she had also made a bet with Zhou Yi this time. The difference was that this time, she was the winner.

However, the person who received the soul bone reward this time is the young master of the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile School. How could Ning Tian possibly be interested in such a trash soul bone? Only the left leg bone is somewhat useful to Nanmen Yun'er. As for this secret technique soul bone, should he find a place to sell it off?

Mu Jin was clearly in low spirits and didn't notice the disdain in the three women's eyes when they saw the soul bone. She led them towards the teaching building.

Meanwhile, upon arriving at Class 1, Huo Yuhao and his two companions found that Xie Huanyue's meal had delayed them considerably, causing them to be a few minutes late.

"Come in." Wang Yan's voice rang out, and Huo Yuhao and the other two pushed open the door and entered. Instantly, all the students in the class focused their attention on him.

Huo Yuhao's fame has spread far and wide throughout the outer courtyard.

With twin martial souls, a mental strength that surpasses his peers, and the ability to unleash combat power comparable to a Soul Saint's strike, Huo Yuhao is undoubtedly a Casanova surrounded by multiple goddesses from the outer academy.

Of the four classes of freshmen, Class 1 is undoubtedly the strongest, but it doesn't have the largest number of students. The offensive and control classes combined only have about sixty students, less than a third of the number of students in the four largest classes.

As soon as Huo Yuhao entered, he immediately attracted the attention of all the students. Wang Yan smiled slightly and said, "Our first freshman has returned just in time. We're about to start electing class monitors. Please take your seats."

Although the classes were reassigned, Huo Yuhao, Xie Huanyue, and Cui Yajie remained in the same position, sitting in the same row.

Huo Yuhao also noticed that Dai Huabin, Zhu Lu, and Wang Dong's team were positioned at the back, a row away from them. As soon as he entered, Dai Huabin became timid and avoided his gaze.

Hmm, it seems he's been completely defeated. The most effective way to destroy someone's mentality is to torture them relentlessly!

Behind the podium, Wang Yan said, "Next, we will hold the election for class monitor and vice monitor. Since all the students in our class are offensive and control-type Soul Masters, the class monitor and vice monitor will be students from the offensive and control types respectively, and they will be rotated every month. I will nominate them, and then everyone will vote by secret ballot."

As he spoke, he turned to the blackboard and wrote two rows of names on it. The first row prominently displayed "Attack-oriented," followed by the names: Xie Huanyue, Wang Dong, Dai Huabin, Huang Chutian, Wu Feng...

The second row of names listed is for the Control System, followed by Huo Yuhao, then Cui Yajie, Cao Jinxuan, Lan Susu, Lan Luoluo...

The order in which Wang Yan wrote the names revealed his thoughts. Xie Huan Yue's name was written first among the power-attack type battle spirit masters, and no one dared to object. After all, although their team had just won third place in the freshman assessment, Xie Huan Yue was their absolute main force. With the strength of his four black spirit rings, he could easily defeat all the power-attack type students one-on-one.

But when Huo Yuhao's name appeared first on the Control Department's list, it caused a stir of whispers. His classmates were relatively calm, since Huo Yuhao was already the top freshman. However, his former classmates all wore strange expressions.

For no other reason than that, in their eyes, Huo Yuhao usually only jokes around with a few girls and doesn't care about anything else. Even if they force him to do something, he won't do it.

So when Huo Yuhao saw his name, he immediately stood up, raised his hand, and said, "Teacher, I want to request that my nomination be withdrawn! I don't want to be class monitor!"

The story is about to enter the far north, where the protagonist will take Tianmeng to find his Bingbing. Returning to a question from several dozen chapters ago, do you think Huo Yuhao's second martial soul will still be the Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion? Feel free to leave your comments below!
