"What method?!"

Man Chong suddenly raised his head, his timid eyes filled with surprise.

He simply voiced the unresolved issue in his heart without really hoping for a perfect solution.

Before Manchong could ask what the method was, Li Luochen had already casually pulled out a palm-sized transparent box from the storage bag at his waist. Inside, several energy cubes of different colors were neatly stacked.

"Take it."

Li Luochen gently placed the box in Manchong's palm. "Give this to those snake-striped bears and hyenas, and they'll naturally make way. Energy cubes are much more nutritious than blue orange berries; one cube will last them a day, so they won't go hungry, and you won't have to bully anyone."

"As for how to use them to build a good relationship with Ralts, that's up to you."

"I can help you build the bridge to catching Pokémon, but you have to take that final step yourself."

"Thank you so much, Brother Luo Chen."

Man Chong accepted the box of energy cubes with both hands, bowed solemnly to Li Luochen, and said thank you several times. Then he turned around and ran towards the snake-patterned bears and wolfhounds that were lying under the trees guarding the fruit by the pond.

Deoxys hovered quietly not far behind Li Luochen, and a telepathic voice rang in Li Luochen's mind.

"You've done so much for him. You lent him your Pokémon, helped him locate Ralts, and solved his berry problem, but he's just a complete stranger to you."

His gratitude won't bring you any tangible reward. Why would you do so much for a stranger?

Li Luochen watched as Man Chong ran to the pond, squatted down, carefully opened the energy cube box, and gave the snake-patterned bears a slightly nervous smile.

He looked away, a slight smile playing on his lips.

"He needs help, and I happen to be able to help."

"As for the reward... being able to help those in need is the best reward for me."

Deochis was quite surprised by Li Luochen's answer.

Its superpowers have an extremely wide range; when it entered Orange City, it could sense all the emotional fluctuations of the entire city.

It heard too many negative emotions: couples arguing over trivial accounts, vendors pulling at customers over a few coins, and passersby hurling insults at each other over an accidental collision.

These people, who clearly live in the same peaceful little town and clearly do not have to fight for survival, can still ignite a tiny spark into a raging inferno.

Before arriving on this planet, and when it met everyone in the Orange Blossom Forest, it thought that since this species could develop such a complex civilization, it should be more peaceful inside.

However, reality was far from what he had imagined.

That's why it finds it so difficult to understand why this human is showing such patience and kindness to a strange cub without any apparent purpose.

"Has your race never had any conflicts?" Li Luochen turned his head and casually asked.

Deoxys hovered in mid-air and shook his head.

"Our individual numbers are small, and the existence of each member of our race has its irreplaceable value, so there is no such meaningless consumption as you humans do."

"Every decision of our race requires the consensus of all individuals. Even if there are disagreements, we will use logic and mental strength to deduce the optimal solution."

"Arguing, hurting others, and ruining long-term relationships for the sake of momentary emotions—these behaviors seem to us to be incomprehensible and redundant code."

Of course, more importantly, the Deoxys race does not have a fixed place to live.

Unlike the creatures on this planet, they don't need to depend on a piece of land, a forest, or a river to survive.

Their home is the universe itself.

The Deoxys wander aimlessly among the stars, drifting from one galaxy to another, occasionally stopping but never settling down.

This is why there is no competition among them for limited resources.

The universe is vast and boundless, with energy scattered among the stars.

The radiation from stars, the particles from nebulae, and the high-energy rays gushing from the edge of a black hole's accretion disk are all inexhaustible sources of energy for them.

Sources are readily available everywhere if you are willing to look.

Without scarcity, there is no strife; without strife, there is very little friction.

Humans can forge deep-seated feuds over a piece of land, a bag of gold coins, or a hurtful word, but such things have never happened among the people of Deoxys.

Li Luochen scratched his head, unsure how to explain the strange and contradictory nature of the Earth creatures to this alien Pokémon.

He thought for a moment, but in the end, he didn't offer any grand principles. He just smiled casually and said, "Well, we humans are different from you. Not to mention humans, even the Pokémon on this planet often argue."

"Even without a conflict of interest, sometimes people will chase each other around for ages just to be the first to drink from the pond. You probably can't understand this, but it's just part of our daily lives."

Deochis scratched his head: "Okay."

Li Luochen rubbed his chin and said, "And what about you guys? You've been wandering around for so long, and you've been to other planets, haven't you ever had any conflicts with other Pokémon?"

Deoxys nodded: "Yes, there have been. Those Pokémon are different from us."

"They have territories, groups, and things they need to protect. We were just passing through; they didn't know that."

"So we occasionally encounter attacks. But our approach is simple: to back down and not argue with them about who is right or wrong."

"In your terms, this would be called the 'principle of yielding to the happier,' right?"

"That's true." Li Luochen raised an eyebrow in surprise. He hadn't expected that an alien Pokémon that sprang from a meteorite would understand such a principle.

He leaned against the tree trunk behind him and asked, "So, what do you plan to do after you find your companions?"

Deochis answered almost without hesitation: "Probably will continue to drift in space."

"This planet is just a coordinate on our journey, not the destination."

"After we gather our companions, we will leave here and head to the next star system."

"It might linger in the orbit of a white dwarf for a while, or it might take a second look when it passes by a binary system."

"There were no special plans, and no place I absolutely had to go."

"The universe is our route; wherever we drift to, that's our next stop."

Hearing this, Li Luochen had an idea: "Deoxys, do you want to stay?"
