Chapter 11 The Magic Wand

"It's not bad, at least it works!"

Ollivander looked at the bar counter, which hadn't lost a single scratch, and offered words of comfort.

Luo Bin ignored him, his dark eyes, as deep as a still pool, fixed on the spot where the green light was shining.

Suddenly, he saw a glimmer of green emerging from the gaps between the wooden planks of the bar counter.

"Something's changed! Right there, in the crack where the green light hit!" Robin shouted excitedly.

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a tiny seedling with only two leaves sprouted from the crack!

Under the astonished gazes of the crowd, the seedling grew at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Long leaves, new branches, flower buds, blooming flowers, swaying leaves for pollination, fruit ripening.

Robin picked the fruit, wrapped it in its outer skin, and revealed the spherical, purplish-red flesh covered with black spots, emitting a rich, sweet aroma.

He took a bite, and surprisingly, it was quite sweet!

"cool!"

Ron ran forward, picked a fruit, and ate it until his mouth was covered in purplish-red juice. He also picked one for his mother and sister.

Ollivander glanced at the bulging, cracked counter, then at the plant that was over a meter tall, and reluctantly and wearily picked the last fruit. "Mr. Lestrange, you have a real talent for causing trouble. Oh, I remember now, last year, Lina brought over a fruit platter, and there was dragon fruit in it. I think that's when the seeds fell into the crack in the wooden planks!"

Robin was overjoyed to have confirmed the wand he desired was incredibly powerful. He generously declared, "Mr. Ollivander, how many Galleons would you like to order a new bar? I can reimburse you!"

Ollivander waved his hand to indicate that he didn't need it, then gripped his wand tightly. After a few maneuvers, the dragon fruit plant disappeared, and the counter returned to normal.

"When customers try out the wand, seven out of ten times something unexpected happens. Therefore, all items in the shop are protected by a special protective magic. As long as they don't shatter into dust, they can be restored to their original state."

Robin nodded knowingly. "Mr. Ollivander, I need to pay you seven Galleons to take this wand, right?"

"No, no need. The staff core is yours; just pay 3 Galleons!"

"OK!"

After Robin paid with three Galleons, Mr. Ollivander bowed and saw the four of them out of the store.

Having been busy until now, the sun was almost setting. Ms. Molly planned to lead the group back, but halfway there, Robin suddenly dropped out of the group for 10 minutes, claiming he had forgotten to buy something.

Afterwards, the four met up with Percy, Fred, and George, and returned to the Burrow through the fireplace of Mr. King.

"Oh, honey, taking care of five, no, six kids all by yourself must be exhausting! Here, have a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice to cool you down!"

The speaker was a middle-aged man, thin and rather tall, with red hair and a receding hairline, but not quite to the point of having a male pattern baldness.

Ms. Molly snatched the cup, drank it all in one gulp, and then put her hands on her hips and started scolding people!

"Arthur, you can't always do this. Every time there's a major procurement task, you use the lame excuse of the Ministry of Magic having to work overtime to avoid it."

It's hard to imagine that Ms. Molly, who is short, plump, and has a gentle smile, can be as fierce as a tigress when she scolds someone.

"Robin, don't be too surprised, this is the real Ms. Molly!" Ron muttered to himself.

Arthur loved his wife dearly. He stood there and let her scold him. When he noticed that she was dry-mouthed and a little out of breath, he helped her to the sofa, poured her a glass of juice, and then repeatedly promised that he would never make a similar mistake again.

"Don't do that again next time, remember that, Arthur?" Ms. Molly said, panting, after finishing a glass of juice.

"Molly, there won't be a next time. This must be Robbins Lestrange, right?"

"Hello, Mr. Arthur, I heard from Charlie that you work in the Department for the Prevention of the Misuse of Muggle Products at the Ministry of Magic."

Arthur rubbed his nose awkwardly, probably thinking of the huge pile of Muggle gadgets in the garage.

"Yes, the main job is to draft regulations, search wizards' homes for Muggle items, and clean up the mess that Willie Wade made. I really want to pry open his skull and see why he's always bothered by toilets."

"Arthur, it's almost dinner time. Let's not talk about these disgusting things. Percy, Fred, George, Ron, Robin, Ginny, put your things back inside and come down for dinner later!"

"Yes, Ms. Molly!"

During dinner, Ms. Molly mentioned that the garden goblins had recently become rampant, killing many flowers. Mr. Arthur immediately assigned the task of eliminating the goblins to Ron!

Charlie is staying at a friend's house, Percy wants to read, Fred and George are being disobedient, and Ginny is bound to cry if she encounters a goblin. So, the only candidate is Ron!

Goblins are magical creatures that often invade wizards' gardens. They look somewhat like miniature versions of humans with rough skin, about 35cm tall, with severely disproportionate limbs and torsos. They have large heads and thin bodies, resembling long, thin wooden stakes with a large potato stuck on top.

The goblins have big, flat feet with protruding ankles. They are silly and love to watch the fun. When their companions are captured by the wizard, instead of running away, they gather in a group and watch the spectacle with glee, and then the wizard wipes them all out!

However, wizards usually don't harm goblins. They hold them by the ankles, give them a glow, and throw them far away. Some stubborn goblins will sneak over the fence and return to the garden at night when the wizard is asleep.

"Mr. Arthur, can I goblin hunting with Ron?"

"Goblins have incredibly sharp teeth; they could bite your hand off!" "Good riddance! That way, you'll become a celebrity at Hogwarts—the One-Armed Shrimp!" "Haha!"

After Fred and George finished their banter, they burst into laughter, clutching their stomachs.

"Robin, don't listen to their nonsense! Just rummage through the flowerbeds a bit, lure out a few goblins, grab them by the ankles, and spin them around like crazy. When they're disoriented, throw them far away. It's simple; as long as you spin them wildly the instant you grab their ankles, they won't bite you. Once you're good at catching goblins, you can have a match with Ron!"

"Mr. Arthur, do you mean you agree to me joining Ron in capturing goblins?"

Hey goblin, even though your magic and talent aren't great, every little bit helps, right?

Arthur shrugged. "I don't think I have any reason to refuse a guest's kindness!"

After saying thank you, Luo Bin frantically ate the soup and rice in front of him. However, he did not expect that his attempt to catch the goblin would last for nearly two months.

August 31st, evening!

Biu~

Boom!

Robin tossed a skinny, limp goblin over the fence, then clapped his hands and said, "The last one. Today's goblin-catching mission complete. Ron, let's go home!"

"OK!"
