Hogwarts: Nagini captured at the start
Chapter 50 Everything is out in the open
Chapter 50 Everything is out in the open
"But as far as I know, F.Flitwick was preparing 'Levitation Charm' materials last night. The practical prop he prepared was a bag of white feathers, not a giant boulder weighing several thousand pounds."
When Quirrell said this, he emphasized the word "The Rock," implying that Robin and Hermione had lied.
However, Robin's talent for the Levitation spell was witnessed by the entire class.
"Professor Quirrell, if you were to ask Professor Flitwick if Robin could make the boulder float, the answer would definitely be: yes!" Hermione said confidently, raising her chin.
"Professor, in Charms class this morning, Professor Flitwick not only praised Robin for his talent, but also awarded him 5 points in the House."
"That's right, I can testify to that."
Harry and Ron tried their best to appear as if they 100% believed Robin could make the troll float.
Professor McGonagall stared at the four of them for a moment, then pondered, "If that's the case, Miss Gran, you silly girl who's too clever for your own good, you've only been learning magic for three months, how could you possibly handle a mountain monster on your own?"
"Miss Glen, haven't you considered how long you'll have to stay in the hospital if you get injured, how much homework you'll fall behind on, and how worried your Muggle parents will be when they receive the email about your injury?"
"Gryffindor will lose 5 points because of your recklessness."
After reprimanding Hermione, Professor McGonagall turned to look at Robin.
"Alright, the school will investigate the mountain troll's whereabouts. Lestrange, you're pretty lucky. Your plan with Hermione to scatter the pieces just happened to hit the mountain troll's weakness. You're brave and resourceful."
"For this, Gryffindor should be given an extra 10 points."
So, by subtracting one and adding the other, you actually gained 5 points.
Now, the old bat was unhappy.
"Professor McGonagall, I think..."
"Alright, Severus, stop worrying about this. We still have a lot to do. You four, if you don't want to write a reflection report, you'd better get back to the tower."
The four hurriedly left the restroom. When they were about four or five meters away from the door, Robin was stopped by Quirrell, who was taking a breather in the corridor.
"Robin, I don't know if you've ever heard this...this saying?" Quirrell asked nervously.
"What did you say?"
"If you steal something that never belonged to you, you will be cursed, and misfortune will follow you until death. The only way to break the curse is... wait, I haven't finished yet!"
curse?
Quirrell is supposed to be incredibly smart, so how could he come up with such a lame excuse?
Could it be that the village bully messed up his brain while he was living there?
Luo Bin thought about it more and more and felt that this was a likely possibility. When he reached the corner, he suddenly thought of a good idea to get revenge on the guy who was covered in dust.
He turned and shouted at Quirrell, "Professor, you should tell these wise sayings to your troll!"
Quirrell's eyes widened in horror; both Snape's ascent to the fourth floor and the troll's sudden disappearance were beyond his expectations.
He wanted to chase after them and ask why they said that, but by then, McGonagall and Snape, having finished checking the damage to the toilets, had already left the room, while the troublesome student had long since gone upstairs.
He had no choice but to pick at his fingers, shrink his head, and pretend to be frightened by the giant.
"Robin, Professor Quirrell has a troll as a pet?"
Hermione still felt a chill run down her spine at the thought of the mountain monster wielding its club.
"I'm not sure either, but I've heard he's quite knowledgeable about trolls!"
After Robin finished speaking, he winked at Ron, signaling him to hurry up and apologize.
Ron was already regretting his words, and seeing Hermione's miserable state made him feel even more guilty. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that to you."
Hermione's near-death experience with a stick taught her many lessons, such as that breaking school rules isn't always a bad thing, and that sincere friends are more important than book knowledge.
"Okay, I accept your apology. However, you really mispronounced the levitation spell. It's Yuga--Dimlevi-O-Sa, with the 'Ga' sound drawn out and the 'Sa' sound sinking down. Try casting the levitation spell and you'll see if I'm right."
Ron did as she said, out of consideration for her recent fright from the troll, but when the feather in his palm slowly floated into the air, his mouth gaped open wide enough to fit an egg.
"See, it worked! You should have done what I told you to do a long time ago."
After showing off, Hermione seemed to remember something and asked Robin suspiciously, "Robin, I feel something's off about the broken lock. When the troll crawled in, it pushed the door as wide as it could, and we kept backing into the bathroom. So... how did the door get locked?"
"The wind, perhaps it's the wind that's howling!"
Ron tried to blame the broken lock on the wind, but Harry covered his mouth with his hand.
Hermione eyed the two men suspiciously, noticing their flustered expressions and strange postures. Then, her eyes suddenly lit up, and she excitedly exclaimed to Robin, "It was him...it was them who did this!"
As expected of the female lead, she becomes incredibly intelligent once she calms down.
Robin pulled Harry away, rescuing Ron, whose face was flushed red. "I think they were looking for me when they happened to see the troll go into the girls' restroom. Out of kindness, they decided to lock the door and then go find the professor for help."
"Yes, that's right. Robin was absolutely right," Harry nodded.
"We were going to lock the door from the inside, but the doorknob was enchanted. I got an electric shock, and I couldn't control my hand, so the lock broke. If I had known Robin and you were hiding in the women's restroom, I would never have locked the door," Ron explained anxiously.
"Oh, right! Robin, didn't you go back to the tower with Neville to change clothes? What are you doing in the women's restroom?" Harry asked.
It's quite embarrassing that the incident of going into the women's restroom was brought up!
Robin rubbed the tip of his nose and recounted what had happened in front of the portrait of the fat lady.
"No wonder, when Quirrell told the trolls to break into the basement and Percy led us upstairs, Parvati kept shouting 'Women's restroom' at Ron and me. So that's why."
After everything was explained, Hermione became much closer to the three of them, and they chatted and laughed as they walked up to the eighth floor.
"Password?" asked the plump woman with a wealthy appearance.
"Pig nose." After the portrait was moved aside, Robin led the three of them inside.
The lounge was packed with people, each carrying a golden platter piled high with food, enjoying their meals while sharing stories with friends.
Parvati and Lavender, huddled on a single sofa chair next to the cave entrance, rushed forward as soon as they saw the four men crawl in.
Hermione, are you alright?
When Parvati saw that her roommate's hair was messy, her robe was dirty and torn in several places, she asked her with concern.
"I'm fine, I'll go back to my dorm and change my clothes."
Hermione glanced at Lavender, who was hugging Robin and expressing his gratitude, then dejectedly walked through the noisy crowd, opened the door to the girls' dormitory, and went inside.
