Become a Homelander and a Marvel superstar
Chapter 110 Mom's Fuck
"Well done, boss," Patton said in a low voice. "The speech was very inspiring; it was one of the best I've ever heard."
"That's not enough..." Fury sneered, a ruthless glint in his single eye. "That old fox Pierce has been operating within S.H.I.E.L.D. for decades. You think you can bring him down with just a few broadcasts?"
"My goal is to take advantage of the chaos at S.H.I.E.L.D., infiltrate the Sky Carrier, and replace the chips on it."
"Shall we go now?"
"No, let's go to the Special Operations Command Center first." Fury pressed his hand to his holster. "That's where S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most elite strike force is located, along with Hill. Once we control that place, we can take control of the situation."
Fury was very confident.
Maria Hill would help him, and most of the agents in those action teams were handpicked by him personally.
As long as he himself stood there, even if there were some Hydras interfering, he believed that his prestige would be enough to suppress the situation.
……
Meanwhile, in the main control room of the communications center.
A technical supervisor in charge of information monitoring is processing intelligence information collected by his subordinates.
Suddenly, a red "Urgent Intelligence" window popped up on the main screen in front of him.
After clicking, it shows the global live stream signal from VNN (Very News Network).
"What is this?" The supervisor was stunned for a moment, then quickly put on his headphones. After hearing the voice coming from inside, his eyes widened.
"Quick! Switch this to all channels!" the supervisor roared. "All screens! Including the operations command center! Now!!"
……
Just as Fury and Hawkeye Clint reached the door, the huge video wall in the communications center suddenly flickered.
The screen that was playing was forcibly cut off and replaced with the "Walt News" logo.
"etc."
A communications technician called out to them.
He looked at the screen as if he had seen something unbelievable, exclaiming, "Chief Fury! You'd better take a look at this!"
On the screen, a blond, blue-eyed news anchor is broadcasting in an impassioned tone:
"...This is Vought News' breaking news coverage from around the world!"
"Just now, Homelander, leading the Seven, launched a swift and devastating attack on one of Hydra's hidden strongholds!"
The camera cut to the scene.
Amidst the ruins, Azu was helping an elderly man, disheveled and terrified, out of the rubble. That elderly man was one of the Security Council representatives.
Behind Azu, Jessica Jones and Pietro were escorting the other three board members.
They looked disheveled, but they were indeed alive.
"Thank God, thank our countrymen!" The British representative said to the camera, his voice trembling but firm. "We thought...we thought we would never see the sun again."
The reporter promptly handed over the microphone: "Director Rockwell, who were your kidnappers? What was their purpose?"
Director Rockwell took a deep breath, his eyes filled with anger:
"It's Hydra! Hydra lurking inside S.H.I.E.L.D.!"
Upon hearing this, Fury's lips curled into a slight smile.
"Hmph, it seems that although Homelander is a bastard, he did this job fairly well."
However, the next second, Director Rockwell's words were like a bucket of liquid nitrogen, poured directly onto Fury's head.
"They kidnapped us to threaten us... into vetoing Project Insight in the upcoming Security Council vote!"
Fury's smile froze instantly.
"What?!" Barton was stunned.
On the screen, Director Rockwell continued his impassioned accusations:
"Those Hydra thugs, they're afraid of 'Project Insight'! They're afraid that once those three Helicarriers take to the skies, they'll completely wipe out their terrorist networks lurking around the world!"
"They are trying to obstruct the process of world peace through such despicable means!"
"Here, we hereby announce..."
Facing the camera, Director Rockwell took out a dusty but already signed document.
"...We, the four standing council members, have completed the authorization signing!"
"The council passed the 'Insight Project' with 9 votes! It can be implemented immediately!"
"Anyone who tries to prevent the mothership from taking off is an accomplice of Hydra! An enemy of all mankind!"
"And..." another council member leaned in, adding a crucial detail, "The Hydra leader in charge of guarding us arrogantly declared before his escape: even if the plan succeeded, it wouldn't matter, because they had already arranged for an 'old friend' who knew everything about S.H.I.E.L.D. to sabotage the mothership's algorithm chip inside S.H.I.E.L.D.!"
The image freezes.
All the clues, all the "truths," formed a perfect closed loop at this moment.
Hydra opposes Project Insight.
Nick Fury opposes the Insight Project.
Nick Fury is causing trouble inside S.H.I.E.L.D.
So... Nick Fury is Hydra.
"Oh my god...fuck..."
Fury felt as if a red-hot coal was stuck in his throat.
"Boss..." Barton looked at Fury, his face grim. "We've been tricked. Those board members... are they Hydra?"
"I know." Fury gritted his teeth, drew his gun, and ran out of the communications center. "Damn it... Let's go! To command post first!"
"Hill's there, she's smart, she'll understand."
……
The door to the special operations command center was pushed open.
"Hill! Organize the action team! Don't listen to the news..."
Fury's voice stopped abruptly.
In the huge circular command hall, hundreds of technicians and agents simultaneously stopped what they were doing.
The hall, which should have been bustling and noisy, was now so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Hundreds of eyes were fixed on Nick Fury standing in the doorway.
The awe and trust that once filled their eyes were gone.
Maria Hill stood on the command platform, her hands resting on the edge of the table, her gaze towards Fury extremely complex.
"Sir..." Hill's voice was a little hoarse, "...I think we need to talk?"
"Hill, you believe that bullshit news?" Fury strode towards the control panel, trying to intimidate the crowd with his imposing presence. "That was a trick orchestrated by Pierce! Those board members are lying!"
"lie?"
A technical supervisor next to me suddenly stood up and pointed at the big screen.
"How do you explain the broadcast? You just finished broadcasting, and the council members were rescued and testified against your 'sabotage.' The timing is so precise; are you trying to say it's a coincidence?"
"This is a frame-up!" Fury roared. "Pierce is the Hydra!"
"What's the evidence?" Hill looked at him, his voice low. "Secretary-General Pierce just sent an instruction from the Security Council, demanding your immediate arrest. The reason given is... terrorist activities."
"OMG Fuck!!"
