Eros hadn't finished speaking.

Peter suddenly felt a sharp, stabbing pain in the back of his head.

This is a spider-sense frantically issuing a warning!

The earth trembled violently once again.

This time, the tremor was ten times stronger than before.

The nearby skyscrapers began to shake violently, and large chunks of concrete fell from the sky.

Peter turned around in horror and saw a colossal figure slowly straightening up behind rows of tall buildings.

It stands about 100 meters tall and resembles an ancient tyrannosaurus rex that walks upright, but its back is covered with two rows of huge spines that emit a ghostly blue light.

With a casual sweep of its thick tail, it cut a more than ten-story office building in half.

The giant beast raised its head and let out a deafening roar.

"Whoa—!!!"

The sound waves transformed into tangible air currents, sweeping across the street.

The glass that was brushed against shattered completely.

Peter covered his ears with both hands, desperately trying to steady himself.

Eros also stopped smiling and his expression became serious.

"What the hell is that? Godzilla?" Peter shouted.

"I think... that's why the Grandmaster said we were prey," Eros said with a wry smile.

The giant beast slowly lowered its head, its vertical pupils locking onto the two people at the street intersection.

It's as if it knew where its prey was from the very beginning.

"It seems to have seen us." Peter felt a chill run down his spine.

The eerie blue spines on the giant beast's back began to light up one by one, the light growing increasingly dazzling.

A vast amount of energy gathered deep in its throat, emitting a chilling buzzing sound.

"It's about to fire!"

Peter's spider sense had reached its limit.

Without the slightest hesitation, he flipped his wrist.

"Run! Mr. Eros!"

Spider silk shot from its hands and stuck to the window frames of the buildings on both sides.

Peter used his legs to propel himself into the air like a slingshot.

Eros reacted just as quickly, pushing off with his legs and soaring into the sky, defying gravity.

The two had just left the spot when the giant beast opened its blood-red maw.

boom--!

A thick, dark blue atom breath burst forth.

The high-energy beam of light was like a lightsaber hundreds of meters long, sweeping across the entire block with overwhelming force.

Then, the breath swept across the ground, passing where Peter and Eros had just stood.

In the blink of an eye, it turned into a boiling, churning lava ravine.

Peter looked back in mid-air and gasped.

If he had left even half a second later, not even ashes would have remained.

At that moment, countless pieces of concrete rained down from above.

Peter displayed astonishing reflexes amidst the dense falling rocks.

He used a falling floorboard as leverage to push off, his body tumbling in the air to avoid a steel bar that was about to smash into his head.

At the same time, it shoots out a spider silk, sticks to another boulder, and pulls itself over, passing through the gap where the two boulders collide.

"What is this? A buy-one-get-one-free bonus?"

Peter shot out webs through the air, frantically weaving through the continuously collapsing ruins of buildings.

Roar--!

Seeing that its attack had missed, the giant beast roared in anger.

It strides forward with its powerful lower limbs, its massive body smashing through all the buildings in its path, chasing straight after them at a speed completely disproportionate to its enormous size.

Eros, flying alongside Peter, said, "Hey Peter! Looks like we need to take care of this big guy first before we can continue our duel!"

"Great idea! Do you have a plan?!" Peter shouted back.

"Lead it to that suspension bridge!"

Eros pointed ahead, where a massive twin-tower suspension bridge stretched across the city ruins. The bridge deck was broken, but thick steel cables still connected the two steel towers.

"receive!"

Peter made a sharp turn in the air, and his spider silk got stuck to the rotor of a helicopter that had crashed on a rooftop.

He used centrifugal force to swing the entire helicopter up and slam it heavily onto the head of the rampaging beast below.

boom!

The helicopter exploded into a fireball on the behemoth's hard scales, but left not a trace.

But this attack successfully enraged the giant beast.

It roared and redirected its hatred, its gaze fixed on Peter, who was running around in all directions.

"I think this scene could be cut into my standalone film, and I could call it 'Spider-Man vs. Godzilla: The Rise of Peter Parker'? Uh, that's too straightforward a name. I wonder if I'd get any investors."

"Hey! Big guy! Look here! I'm over here!"

"Maybe you're just hungry? I'll treat you to dinner. What would you like? A whale burger?"

Peter continued to mock the giant beast from mid-air, guiding it to change direction.

The giant beast's massive tail suddenly swept across, snapping a dozen-story apartment building in half like building blocks.

Countless huge pieces of concrete rained down on Peter.

Peter's spider-sense triggered a frantic warning, and he performed over a dozen incredibly difficult gymnastic maneuvers in mid-air, dodging most of the debris. But a truck-sized piece of wreckage still blocked all his escape routes.

Just as Peter was preparing to take the hit head-on, a streak of light crashed in from the side.

With the Titans' powerful physique, Eros shattered the wreckage into pieces with a single punch.

He grabbed Peter's arm and pulled him up quickly, getting him out of the danger zone.

"Thanks, Eros!" Peter said, still shaken.

"At your service, Peter." Eros turned to him and gave him a "sincere" smile.

In that instant when their eyes met, a hidden glint flashed in Eros's eyes.

Peter suddenly felt a warmth in his heart. Looking into Eros's eyes, an indescribable sense of trust welled up within him.

"He's a really good person," Peter thought. "Like Ned, he's a trustworthy partner."

In the ensuing battle, the two displayed remarkable teamwork.

Eros used his super strength and flight ability to constantly maneuver around the behemoth, drawing fire.

Peter then used the flexibility of the spider silk to set traps in the ruins, interfering with the giant beast's vision and movement.

Whenever Peter was in danger, Eros would always appear in time, shielding him from flying debris with his back or pulling him back from the brink of danger.

"Well done, Peter! Your spider silk is amazing! Did you develop it yourself? You're a genius!"

Eros spared no praise.

His every word and action, the curve of his lips, and his concerned gaze all exude a subtle and pervasive charm.

Peter was completely unaware that he was falling into a particular kind of emotion.

He felt that Eros was the greatest hero he had ever seen besides Homelander.
