Chapter 262 Questioning
The room resembles a kitchen, with a stove and many cabinets, and it looks quite spacious.
Those long, pointed ears already indicated that Stasia was an elf, and a very beautiful one at that.
If she had just tripped and fallen by accident, it wouldn't have been a big deal.
The problem is, the situation is very wrong right now!
She was only wearing a semi-transparent gauze nightgown, and you could even see her bra underneath through the robe.
The hem of her pajamas was lifted quite high, revealing her long, straight, and snow-white thighs.
That wasn't all; Stasia's eyelids drooped, and she put on a pitiful expression, as if she was about to cry at any moment. "Master... I'm sorry, I took your favorite tea set."
Master Scott: "."
Alphonse: "."
Edson: "."
Mia and Master Godin were blocked by the three people and were unable to see what was happening inside the house.
Stacia didn't even look at the situation at the door, and said to herself with self-pity, "Please, you must punish this foolish maid."
As he spoke, he slowly raised his head and looked at Master Scott, who was standing at the door, with a pitiful gaze.
Then, his expression froze, as if he had been startled, and he suddenly raised his arms to protect his chest.
Bang!
Without her making any move, the door slammed shut with a loud bang.
Had Master Scott not nimbly stepped back, the door would have slapped him on the nose.
Alphonse was starting to laugh. This maid named Stasia was clearly trying to seduce Master Scott, but she hadn't expected that there would be other guests visiting.
"I'm sorry, you've all seen this funny." Master Scott turned slightly, feeling extremely embarrassed.
Edson chuckled. "Stasia's still the same as always. Where did she learn this new trick this time?"
"How would I know about her?" Master Scott sighed and rubbed his forehead. "You know I don't have any romantic feelings for her."
Alphonse, however, thought that the legendary mage with his long lifespan and the immortal elven girl were quite a good match.
The door swung open again with a "whoosh," and in a short time, Stasia had changed into a short dress that completely covered her body. Her face was expressionless and stiff. "We have guests. I'll go prepare some tea and snacks right away."
Immediately afterwards, the door slammed shut again.
"Let's talk in the living room," Master Scott said with a dry laugh, leading the way out.
As Master Scott ascended another staircase to the upper right, he arrived at another, even larger room floating in the void.
Master Scott pushed open the door and led the group inside.
Suddenly, he said, "You've come all this way, you must be tired. Let me help you recover your strength first."
With a casual wave of his hand, a green halo enveloped the bodies of Alphonse and the other two.
Instantly, Alphonse felt a refreshing coolness seep into his body, and his spirits were lifted.
I flew here on Edson's back without much exertion, but the magic still felt quite comfortable, like being refreshed by a cool breeze in the sweltering summer.
"Actually, there's no need for that," Edson laughed.
No sooner had he finished speaking than a strange thing happened.
Edson, Mia, and Master Godin were suddenly swept by a gust of wind to Master Scott's side.
The green halo surrounding Alphonse turned blood red in an instant and then suddenly contracted.
Although it wasn't tightly bound to his body, there was an invisible force field that restricted Alphonse's movements.
Alphonse couldn't move a single finger; he was like a tiny insect trapped in amber, completely unable to make any movement.
"Brother Scott? Why are you doing this all of a sudden?" Edson exclaimed anxiously.
"What are you trying to do?" Mia shouted sharply.
At the same time, Master Godin said in a deep voice, "Sir Scott, please explain your actions!"
The three of them were also trapped, but their situation was better than Alphonse's; they could still move, though they were confined to a small space.
"Is there some misunderstanding between us?" Alphonse was extremely shocked. Fortunately, his internal energy was not restricted; it was just bound and he couldn't move.
"I'm doing this to protect you!" Master Scott coldly stared at Alphonse. "Do you think I can't see through you? You possess powerful dark energy, and the longsword you wield is the demonic sword 'Pride' Falbunkus, capable of slicing through space. You can fool them, but you can't fool me! Speak! Have you betrayed humanity? What conspiracy is the demon race plotting?"
"This is a misunderstanding! Let me explain."
Edson had only finished speaking when Master Scott snapped his fingers.
The sound ceased abruptly. Alphonse could only see Edson's mouth opening and closing rapidly, Mia pounding on the invisible barrier in front of her, and Master Godin's body shimmering with light. However, they were unable to break through the spatial confinement, and could not even transmit their voices.
"I have no connection with the demons, nor have I betrayed humanity," Alphonse said, having already realized that he could still control the necromantic energy, meaning he could use the formless sword energy that could shatter the body.
But they didn't act rashly, intending to see what the situation was like first.
Alphonse had no confidence in escaping from the clutches of the legendary mage.
As soon as he finished speaking, a small green ball of light appeared out of thin air beside his head, floating up and down.
A child's voice rang out, "That's half true! That's half true!"
Alphonse was taken aback. This strange ball of light could actually speak?
Master Scott was also taken aback. "Which half?"
"The first half of the statement is a lie! The first half of the statement is a lie!"
Master Scott's eyes flashed with malice. "You'd better answer honestly, or I'll tear you to shreds and banish your soul to the endless void."
Alphonse was utterly bewildered. How did I end up with demons? Half-demons too?
The demonic sword Falbancus at his waist spoke softly, "My master's connection with the demons is because of me, isn't it? He merely released my seal in the Baskerville Labyrinth and, under the witness of the god of the underworld, signed a contract with me. Therefore, he wasn't lying."
"It's the truth! It's the truth, no doubt!" The ball of light drifted and floated around Alphonse.
This truly surprised Master Scott, who asked again, "Really?"
"Really!" Alphonse nodded.
"This is the truth! This is the truth!" The ball of light confirmed this.
"And who is your identity?" Master Scott pressed.
"Lord of the Kingdom of Bastian, Lord of the Coldwind Territory, Count Tartarus." Alphonse remained cautious and did not reveal his entire past life's identity.
"This is the truth! This is the truth!" the ball of light confirmed once again.
Master Scott quickly waved his hand, releasing Alphonse from his restraints. A broad smile spread across his face as he rushed forward, grasped Alphonse's hands, and repeatedly apologized, "I'm so sorry! I misunderstood you! Please forgive my mistake. You can choose a magical item from my treasure vault as a gift to atone for my error!" (End of Chapter)
